Fun fact: The lead singer of Voyager is also German. In fact the band has a diversity of dual nationalities, including Scottish and Dutch. Very euro, and a great fit for Eurovision. Looking forward to seeing how this one goes during the second semi final!
BRILLIANT! Goosebumps. Intense & full of energy. 💜 Great drums, guitars & vocals. 🫶🏼❤️👏🏽👏🏽 They take us on a journey & leave us on a high. Voyager will ROCK the stadium. Deserve to be in ESC final. 🫶🏼👏🏽✊🏽
I am so stoked that Voyager are representing us, and I am glad you enjoyed the song. They are Eurovision fans and have been trying to represent Australia for a while now, and were actually the runners up at last years National Final (they came first in the public vote). Danny the lead singer was born in, and spent his childhood in Germany. They are a great bunch, great performers, and I hope everybody enjoys them in Liverpool.
12 points! Australia to win !! Voyager are from Perth. They have 7 albums and have been playing since 1999. They mix many styles are are progressive metal pop. Please make history. Vote Australia to win. !
I've been a fan of Voyager for nearly 20 years and consider them a great and original prog-metal band. They don't write onerously long songs with endless solos that get boring, opting instead for shorter songs, pop structures, and brief but intense soloing. In that respect, they satisfy the same proggy hard rock craving in me that Rush's Permanent Waves release or New England's albums did for me in the early 80s or Helloween's more commercial stuff in the mid-90s.
Deserves no.1. They should win it. Eurovision will never be held in Australia (pity) but can be done anywhere in Europe. They should win. Vote for them.
Danny is now not only a band member, but also an immigration lawyer in Perth Western Australia, their all fantastic and a much loved progressive metal band
I hear Muse, Keane in the bands performance and touches of Aha (Take me on) in the vocal. The singer has a quality to his voice on the first phrase ( I think its called vocal fry) but it comes through crystal clear and it grabs your attention. The bass player has a really nice tone drop in the middle that stands out. That quick synth arpeggiation during the soaring guitar solo is superb. The heavy syncopation at the end is thrilling and the final note that echoes is the icing on the cake.
Cool. I had to keep editing my comment because more things would come to mind. The Aha i hear is that quick lift he does in the second verse. I think you heard it too because you smiled when you heard it.
Gosh if there weren't such a hassle that comes with voting, all my points would go to Australia. They blew my socks off and I haven't stopped listening to this song since. Romania had a weak, rather disjointed stage presence, but you could tell the kid performing had bucketsful of talent. Estonia's entry portrayed an incredibly talented vocalist also. With love from the UK!
There's a few acts this year that have surprise metal elements or drops, which I find even funnier that Germany still won't send Electric Callboy?! Finland are sending a song that almost copies their style exactly!!
Interesting and we'll balanced review. I cannot recommend Voyager highly enough. They are brilliant musicians, excellent live, good fun and the anthemic quality of so many of their songs mean live gigs are a joy. Treat yourself to Ghost Mile and Colours.
And here we have the rightful winners of Eurovision 2023. That competition is an absolute farce. At least Voyager have won themselves a new legion of fans from across the world!
Great reaction. tbh, I'm shocked at Lord of the Lost ending with so little points. My 4 year old daughter was gutted. We gave our children one vote each and Blood and Glitter waas her favourite. It's been on repeat in our car since the album was released. As a Voyager fan since 2005, I'm so happy that they made some new fans across the world. They have been Australias best kept secret for far too long.
How many points would you give these guys? 🙂
12
12.
12. I vote for them in semi finale :)

12!
this is my favorite song of this year! It has so many genres in it such an intense 3 minutes.
That, my friend, is a keytar. And you're right. It's awesome...
Thanks! 👊

Didn't know about Dutch member, who of them is Dutch?
The drummer
wow... didn't know that!!! super
Perth band…doesn’t matter where they came from.
Immigration layer too
you are correct their music is very diverse. They are so very accomplished musicians and have crafted this song for Eurovision
Thank you, I will definitely check out more songs of them:)

Love it... "where came this from"... my thoughts exactly :)

Ich habe mich sofort in dieses Lied verliebt

They qualified! Whoop whooop!
The lead singer is from Germany, his family immigrated to Australia when Danny was 11
The best music is always the one, which doesn't exclude any music elements from other genres. Those full music-hearted bands are the best! :)
I totally agree! That's why I like bands like Muse, Electric Callboy, Kim Dracula and so on :)
@@scharsigo Muse is totally awesome, one of my fav bands!

Excellent review of an amazing song. This really deserves a high place in Eurovision
Thank you very much! 🙏

Keane and A-Ha are indeed two more Bands besides Muse that I really like listening to 👍

I must listen more to Keane . Cheers. Check out voyagers older stuff, and KARNIVOOL

This is in my top 5. Such a well written and performed song. It becomes every time you watch it.
Absolutely!
@@scharsigo I missed a words "better", wollte eigentlich schreiben, er wird bei jedem Hören besser ;)

12 points for Australia
Meine Lieblinge dieses Jahr ❤ ich werde für sie anrufen 💋 I hope they'll get a lot of points from germany.

Rock/Metal Progressive with modern groovy breackdown ❤️
Thanks for the love from 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺

Amazing song!!!!! My winner🎉
Best song of ESC 23! 12 Points!

Danke alle. Herzliche Grusse von Australien.

Voyager has been around for a long time. I think they may have at least 5 albums out.
Reminds me of depeche mode with a bit of some melody stuff from pink floyd.. wich is maybe one of the best bands in the world
His voice reminds me of Mariusz Duda from Riverside.
Du musst dir mal die anderen Songs von den Jungs anhören. Ich bin innerhalb weniger Tage ein riesen Fan der Band geworden.
It is too good for Eurovision , however we benefited by coming to know this amazing band
This is such an 80ies style banger. I just dont get the need for that short deathmetal-esque bit in there.
They are essentially a metal band. Check out their stuff. It’s fun, but not too growly.
Guitarist doing the solo is a woman
Yes, I figured that out when I saw them on stage at the ESC 😅
This is my favorite this year, mainly for the verses. Not a fan of the guitar solo though.
