It’s 2024 and this movie is still freakin’ epic.
Best movie ever....duh ,well after avaiters
Great moovie, but in real i looked it only one times in cinema and one times on DVD, not more. Really a great moovie but nothing to see again and again, like others. In my opinion as a man ... 😊
It’s 2025 and this movie is great
Still a legendary film after all these years. Perfect blend between practical effect & cgi; unlike films these days
@MicaRayan exactly even half of the ship is real I love idk why they don't do it anymore ig cuz kids will watch anything really just look at godzilla I stopped watching after the 2014 one it's just sad and even the 2014 one is good compared to the movies we get today
Titanic as a film was so far ahead of its time. That’s why it still holds up and looks gorgeously new in 2024. I’ve seen cgi from movies made in the early-mid 2000s where it’s so much more obvious then titanic, which was really seamlessly done. Love or hate him, James Cameron is an outstanding filmmaker and his obsessive attention to detail and hyperfocus may make him tough to work for, but those qualities are what set his films apart. I feel Titanic was really a passion project for him in a way that Avatar hasn’t been, hence his becoming an oceanographer basically to make the film! He went ALL OUT. Much respect ✊
My fav movie.. editing was and still is top of its game
They got the most wonderful life experience during shooting of Titanic. More movies like this should come but indeed Titanic will always remain majestic
WOW, how incredible! The time, imagination, money and effort is just phenomenal 😮
I will never forget this amazing movie!!
It’s crazy how old this film really is and how well they made it.
Possibly the best era of filmmaking tbh, for longevity and authenticity of visuals. There was a nice even blend of practical and virtual effects that worked in tandem to create a visually realistic look and setting. Still to this day, Titanic looks fantastic. Most movies today are awash with virtual effects, which imho don't age anywhere near as well. Look at Starship Troopers for example, another movie of this era, the blend of practical and visual effects still hold up very well today. Where as many modern CGI heavy based movies already start to look dated and out of place only years later.
It shows you how much ahead of its time that Titanic was, and by extension James Cameron too for his filmmaking. Ranging from the casting, costumes, music, sets and special effects of course. You know, the lengths that Cameron was willing to go to. Not just recreating an 11/12th size replica of the real ship as a set piece, but also adding a large number of other smaller set pieces that made the movie look much more authentic, organic and orginal than using CGI for everything etc.
Nonetheless, it is crazy to think how Cameron spent around $1 Million (his words) on that deleted fight scene of Lovejoy and Jack. Doing it just because he wanted to add a bit more action sequence in the movie. Fortunately, the scene got to be edited out in the final cut. After Cameron had a legit discussion with the testing audience who gave the movie their honest review. Saying they found the fight scene a bit too distracting and not adding much to the storytelling. I'm very glad too that Cameron listened to them.
@@LookHereMars I agree. Hence, I think Titanic and not Avatar remains Cameron's masterpiece. Simply, because he used more practical and physical effects for the many different scenes. You know, like instead of using a large green screen and CGI for the scenes on deck, he basically recreated an 11/12th sized replica of the ship. It made the movie appear much more realistic and give this authentic feeling and experience.
@@victorsamsung2921indeed, its look so modern just like a 2024 movie
It's not that old, just 27 years old,u act it's from the silent era
Great attention to detail.
The fact that 95% of people in this world have watched this movie.. Like the whole world have seen the movie it's crazy
Yep. No joke. Kate Winslet even mentioned once her own experience of encountering a Titanic viewer somewhere high up in the mountains of the Himalaya's where she was hiking on a holiday. When an elderly men at a local village suddenly approached her and said something along the lines of: 'you're the lady from Titanic aren't you?' No wonder this moment made Winslet cry, because it showed how much her work had paid off in terms of reaching people with art.
@@chrissytiya3025 yes really
@@victorsamsung2921Exactly 💯
Have watched this movie 🎬 more than 6 time's still feel sad 😢
95% of people in this world have not seen the Titanic think about it for a minute you think the Taliban is watching the Titanic
When I watched titanic I was 7. Now I’m in my 30s. 😢 this show is a lifetime memory movie for me. My favourite movie from young till now… ❤❤❤
same, but a year older. We old now :)
I could just watch that room flood all day Its just wow
It's disappointing, though, that it isn't 100 percent accurate to the real Titanic's saloon. There was no carpeting (just linoleum floor) or table lamps. Missing details are fans used for ventilation and glass in the double set of entrance doors with grillwork. These are things that would definitely have been known at the time of the film's making.
I agree! I love “behind the scenes” on anything. So cool!!!
Rana sahib
Same
@@Garsons-oq4lh For the table lamps, they knew that wasn't accurate, but they added them for lighting the actors up.
So much effort put into those scenes with Lovejoy and then so much of it was cut out. But it really was a good decision, as nice as the plate-ringing is.
How can they ruin all that amazing furniture?! 😩
I watched titanic with my friend yesterday, that was not my first time but after watching this movie I always obsessed with Jack
Yes yes the same
2:04 Amazing to see that whole gun chase of Rose & Jack by an enraged and envious Cal from behind-the-scenes. I had never seen it that way before. And cool to see the sight being switched from a simple cam recorder to an HD-camera man crewmember following the footsteps of DiCaprio and Winslet as they're running down the Grand Staircase and into the 1st class diner.
Yea great to see that dramatic chase scene being filmed around the staircase. The camera operator was shooting 35mm film, not HD. You can see the film magazine on the back of the camera.
The amount of precision and perfection that went in was phenomenal. Won 11 Oscars for a reason 🫡
No Oscar nomination for Cameron's so-called original screenplay.
Actor/actress appearances:
0:13 Billy Zane as Cal Hockley
0:29 Kathy Bates as Molly Brown
1:22 Kate Winslet as Rose DeWitt Bukater and Leonardo DiCaprio as Jack Dawson (brief appearance)
2:04 Kate Winslet as Rose DeWitt Bukater and Leonardo DiCaprio as Jack Dawson (full appearance)
2:36 Frances Fisher as Ruth DeWitt Bukater
I had a friend Ira who may have filmed these scenes and said it was tough standing in the water for days and days. Sometimes it was very cold and just torture.
Each scene, each shot, is Designed so perfectly for maximum effi iency
Just rerwatched it again recently and stirred up my interest for titanic videos again!!
Billy Zane is such a sweet guy but got a role of a bastard😂😂😂😂
Legendary movie. Awesome work of sir James Cameron
Kathy Bates is amazing in this movie.
This must have been a very dangerous set to work on! You're flooding an actual dining room, the water is 60 degrees and serving carts rolling all around
Considering the amount of accuracy that went into designing the sets, I imagine that the B footage of the dining room flooding is exactly what it would’ve looked like the night the ship went down. All the noise and bustle of first class passengers replaced with eerie silence and the groans of the steel hull
Great movie 🎥👍❤️🌹💐🙏
THIS MOVIE WAS FILMED IN POPOTLA MX, ABOUT 30 MINUTES FROM SAN DIEGO CA. SMALL BUT BEAUTIFUL PLACE BY THE SEA. I WAS THERE N THIS SHIP WAS HUGE
This was so satisfying to watch ❤
Just minor nitpicks: Firstly, the little table lamps on the tables weren't actually present in the original design. I think they were added, perhaps for cinematic effect or to enhance lighting for actors. (which While they do add an elegant touch, they're not historically accurate. Additionally, the dining saloon didn't feature carpeting; instead, it had decorative linoleum tiles. (
Imagine how much easier the film crew's lives would have been if they didn't have to constantly dry the water from the carpet after every take during filming! ) Despite these discrepancies, Titanic remains one of my all-time favorite films.
Dining Saloon was beautiful. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
WSL logo on the plate is nice touch
Que gran trabajo , fue espectacular está película ❤
I used to live near the Baja Studios where a lot of the film was made. One place I lived had a view of the huge soundstage as well as the ship used in Master and Commander. I met a lot of folks who were extras in films made there.
..Oh gosh !...Wish you had a camera back then !
Phenomenal
Perfect 🥰
Awesome movie
Working on a set of that magnitude would be magnificent
Greatest Film
That is pretty damn cool.
Incrível.
It looks like fun to film
Incrivel!
1:56 My birthday, January 11, 1996😂😂😂
I think it means November 1996
I LOVE THIS KIND OF THING. I mean the behind the scenes peak is always cool. But on a big movie like this is, and I’m going to use a word I just scanned someone else’s comment…epic. Because that is exactly what it is.
And another thing, yes of course this is their job and they’re getting paid for it, but the fact that when WE SEE THE MOVIE, it’s all moving in real time with music playing and as it crescendos in and out of each scene. But in fact the actors don’t have that to play off of, they had to ….Well…Duhhhh….”Act” like the water was freezing cold water from the North Atlantic, and the Unsinkable ship they were on was sinking fast.
I do wish James Cameron would allow much more to be released.
Always wondered what happened to all the furniture, china and utensils. So much went into recreating all of it exact to the original. The china that did not break and all the utensils should have easily survived the shoot as they are waterproof. Wonder where it all ended up.
Yes, as I was watching this video I also wondered where did it all go afterwards and if it all were used by people after.
It was a very nice move
All that furniture bought and drowned for a film. Hollywood is a trip eh. 😉
James telling Kathy how the set works.
Mantapppppp❤
Wow 👍
I know it's tasteless and inappropriate but still a part of me would love to have an exotic swimming pool that looks exactly like the D-Deck Reception Room and Dining Saloon sinking.
2:10 It looks like Lex Luthor swiming pool from Superman.
X-MarcosNavigator I have a serious question I'm sure it was you who posted a video a few years ago it was about the queen Mary 2 specifically from the movie " Let Them All Talk " you used a song there that I really want to find what it is but I can't find the video ( rather it's taken down or deleted ) can you tell me the name of the song please
Interesting fact here, James Cameron actually made a mistake with that floor, it wasn't carpeted, dives to the wreck have shown that the floor on the first class dining room was actually tiled
..They were 'Linoleum' on the original ship...They in general used to be more lightweight material than tiles...Helped reducing the liner's overall weight a bit.... .
Where did you find this videos ?
..At my abandoned mansion cutie... .
Sugestão de vídeo: história do RMS Aquitania
the fact that that water was real..
How did they let the water stay inside?
Sinking feeling😅
How people can remake a disaster
its for educational purposes
Some of the most amazibg cinematography i ve ever seen. No one but Bates could play molly brown either. The plot though.... shouldve spent a bit on that part too bc ...awful.
Still a better love story than Twilight - oh wait.......
Me just done watching the movie and want to see behind the scenes 😅
