    For everyone complaining about racking or shooting delays in pool videos remember that if you're watching this on a computer you can press J to skip 10 seconds back and L to skip 10 seconds forward. K pauses. After clicking on the video twice to pause pause and resume you activate the arrow keys for 5 second skips. If viewing on a mobile device you can double tap the left and right side of the screen to skip forward and backwards 10 seconds.

    "You're a cheater!" "He cheated!"
    Mike loves saying this about Shane, especially when he loses to him. Mike was kinda a dick when he was on the felt (in a match against someone) a few years ago. He's toned down his attitude over the last couple of years and acts in a professional manner when he plays a match these days. He's always been pretty friendly when he's off the table however. From what I've heard, he simply doesn't like Shane. He's said in interview that Shane cheats sometimes. In all honesty I think this is jealousy. Shane didn't become a 3x US Open champion from cheating. He's the best player in the USA, and the only one that can hang with the Filipinos and Taiwanese machines. When Shane was in the Philippines he was the only American actively seeking out the Filipino worldbeaters and gambling with them. Shane didn't do it to win, he did it for the practice and experience. That speaks volumes about his work ethic.

      +Max Watson Oh what's up Max. Fancy seeing u here... Like me, you watch alot of pool matches. I bet they wish they had this technology back in the day!! I figure that if I can pick up one trick of the trade from a days worth of watching pool, I've gained something.

      the snowdawg Hey Snowdawg. True, we get to see all the professional matches we can handle and watch them over again; I do the same thing lol. It's one of the best ways to learn. Just to toot my own horn, I've only been playing for 2 years. I just reached level 8 in my BCA league, won out last sessions championship and am #10 on our MVP list out of 50. All thanks to watching these guys, Tor Lowry and Dr. Dave Billiards and LOTS of table time.

    One time in college some students and I racked 500 racks of 9 ball and 250 racks of eight ball. We wanted to see the difference between loose racks and tight ones. In both eight ball as well as nine. It surprised us to see that far more balls were sunk on loose racks. Better ball spread and three times as many eight balls sunk on the breaks. Not saying it is the smart thing to do but we were just curious on how important the break really is.

    • @dastardlydaring5142
      @dastardlydaring5142 8 років тому +3

      +stinger139 Not buying this at all. You can certainly rig the rack to increase your chances of pocketing one or two certain balls in certain positions in the rack in certain pockets, but you will always get a better spread and will more often than not pocket way more balls with a tight rack.
      There are lots of variables of course, but there are certain rules of thumb when it comes to how the balls react on the break with loose and tight racks. You will get a better spread/more action on most balls with a tight rack. When there are no gaps in the rack you get the maximum transference of energy on the other balls in the rack if they are all touching. Every gap in the rack reduces that. There are certain areas in the rack where small gaps in just one or two balls will slug the entire rack.
      It also depends on how well you hit the break and where you break from. The more balls in the rack, the more energy gets transferred throughout the rack when you break closer to the center behind the headstring, and that of course is largely dependent on how square you can hit the head ball. That's why in pro 8 ball matches and 10- ball matches the pros usually break from some area close to the center.
      For 9 ball most pros break from the side because it gives you a higher percentage chance to pocket either the 1 in the side or a wing ball in the corner. And they aim straight on to the one to put the most energy into a side of the rack opposite from where they are breaking.
      Though with the Magic Rack being common now, pros are consistently making way more balls on the break on average with a perfect rack.
      No matter what you will always pocket more balls and have a better spread (provided you are using the same type of break for both loose and good racks) with good racks over loose ones. At higher levels of the game the break shot is by far and away the most important shot in the game.

      @lemonadegrave 2 роки тому

      @@dastardlydaring5142 Well said. I would doubt that they had someone who was breaking consistently at the same speed, and from the same spot, and hitting the head ball dead on. I appreciate their spirit nevertheless.

    Pool is so competitive game you can't forgive yourself if you missed a stupid shot that made loose the game so it needs an extreme concentration in the game to end up winning so you have to take you're time before you play although I don't like it when it's too slow like this game but that's pool and I'm a pool player so I kinda understand that

    I think Mike was so concerned and upset about him not getting a perfect rack, it screwed his game up. He's his own worst enemy.
    They should have a third party racking anytime Mike plays. Mr. Rack Mechanic is always pulling this crap. I think it shouldn't be allowed.

    yeah I know, Mike is one of the best players in the world right now. He was mostly frustrated with the rack not being tight. The wing ball goes in 100% of the time. That's why mike was getting so pissed. It's like giving a player like shane a handicap

    I think Dechaine could have taken that six to either side or down, or safed it, but he slammed it because he knows he's better than that and left himself with tough shots on the 6 and before that, so like the announcers mentioned he shot out of aggression, I do it as well frequently it's tough to avoid in a match with people staring. Nevermind a match like this

I believe in the Good News that Jesus died on the cross for my sins and that You resurrected Him from the dead in order to restore my relationship with You. Through my belief and faith in Jesus death, burial and resurrection, I am saved.
    I want to trust Jesus as my Savior and follow Him as my Lord from this day forward. Please guide my life and help me do Your will, Your way through the Holy Spirit. This I pray in the powerful, loving and glorious name of Your Son, Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior. Amen!" 🙏

    15:15, that was not a carom. That was a billiard.
    Jeesh. The cue ball hit the the object ball then billiard the 9 to the whole.

      That was a billiard. The CUE BALL hit the object ball then BILLIARED THE 9 ball in.
      If the 4 ball hit the 9-ball then the 4 ball went in, that would be a carom.

  • @ryanreyes4431

    2nd rack would have been WAY easier coming two rails back to the center of the table after the 1ball and playing a carom off the 2ball, calling the 9ball. Why didn't he see that?

  • @johnsaninjadood
    @johnsaninjadood 12 років тому

    To all the people that are saying that the player that looks at the rack is a little bitch, this is their job, this is how they pay their bills. That's like a racecar driver not checking his car out before a race. It's not because they think the other player is trying to screw with them, there is actually a way to "read" the rack and it will help you know where to break from and how hard in order to make a certain ball. Corey Deuel is the best in the world at this,

    The worst thing is Mike calling Shane a cheater with the rack. First of all, Shane doesn't need to cheat. Second, Mike was eyeing every rack like a hawk and if Shane was cheating he should have brought it up then, not at the end like a little bitch. He's just mad that Shane is better and that he chose to shoot a careless bank to lose the game when even a amateur like myself could have played safe behind the 7. Lets just say when it's taking Mike or Shane's side, I'll stick with the guy that everybody loves and respects, not the douche that everybody hates (cuz there's a reason why)
