I'm not familiar with 1-ball rules. At 14:30 in the video, Efren plays a defensive shot, hitting the 14 ball and the cue ball then touched the rail. I don't understand why 2 balls were spotted after this shot. please explain. This is a reply because the "add a public comment" is not working today.
@@mu99ins if you commit a foul, you owe a ball. Efren scratched on the break, then committed another foul before he'd potted any balls, so he owed 2. Once he ran a few balls off the table, the 2 he owed were spotted at the end of his turn.
1:23:25 was an absolute terribly horrendous shot. Unbelieveable how easy it was to be at least some-what safe instead. I don't think he could have sold out any worse if he was trying to sell out. I figure that poor guy will have nightmares from that. I hope he never ever encounters doing something like that again.

JJ is just a BRILLIANT guy. So much insight in to the game.
I'm def. a Reyes fan, but he did get lucky to win. It wasn't a decisive performance on either player's part.
