Smashing weekly programme, but what a breath of fresh air young Belinda de Lucy is. Really enhances Plank of the week.
Geldof can moan all he likes about foreign aid. Live Aid was 36 years ago and they’re still starving. Charity begins at home.
Correct clearly money doesn’t work these countries have had billions since the 80s and according to people like Geldof nothings changed so why would you wanna donate?!?!
Poverty has halved in the 36 years since Live Aid. Crop yields have increased by over 100% per hectare. Starvation is caused primarily by civil war. Lockdowns in the West are far more likely to cause poverty than a reduction in foreign aid by one country (which is still more generous than most rich countries).
He doesn’t just mean sausage makers, he means all purveyors of porcine products.
It would have been cheaper to just give everyone in Africa £1Million and let them get on with it. The only problem is that a year later they'd be back asking for another Million.

I used to work in a car repair bodyshop, where wearing a mask was compulsory. every three weeks we had to have a lung function test. After three years I developed a issue where the fibres and moisture has damaged my lungs. I believe that we are no heading for a pandemic of people who will have lung function issues, and these people should sue SAGE.
Lol! What do you think the masks were for? Ok so you still ended up with this problem but obviously the mask gave you a certain amount of protection 🤣🤣

Believe it or not we do produce sausages in Northern Ireland.
And I bet they are awesome, as I sit here sipping my cold Guinness thinking that the best beef I've ever tasted also came from Ireland. Pork and leek are the best sausage.
There was a pub in King's Lynn by the old gate called "The Honest Lawyer" and the sign outside had a picture of a headless man carrying his head under his arm!

Since 2016 since we voted to leave , the EU in the first year introduced over 500 new directives aimed at making the bureaucracy on numerous things more difficult for the UK.

As far as our TV shows like Faulty Towers etc. are concerned; immigrants and descendants of immigrants have to accept that these kind of shows are part of our British culture.
They are also very funny. I couldn't care what immigrant finds them offensive. They don't have to watch them. :-) Would I have a say in what TV shows are broadcast in a foreign country if I lived there. Of course not.

One way to curtail the legal side is to stop legal aid to non UK Citizens. And the government have the power to do this.
i live in a place that gets choc a bloc in the summer, all the locals go to pubs in the town that tourists don't use then go back when the season ends and the council supplies bigger bins and thoroughly clean the beaches every morning, you can't advertise as a holiday town and then complain when it fills up with holiday makers i'm with belinda on this one

Agreed - It's a total chaotic rabble. Very difficult to listen to and frustrating. They should relax and not constantly get in each other's faces.
Have you never had a conversation with anyone Nigel? Too busy behind a computer screen. Nobody can interrupt or indulge in the art of conversation there can they. Get a life, and go down to the pub and see if anyone will talk to you. I doubt it.

If you buy a house at the seaside or near a pretty country pub and don't want people living further away than you visiting (how far will you allow?) then maybe you should buy up the whole area and put a fence around it. I live near a school and it's a pain twice a day but you have to suck it up or move.

Actually, I agree with that idea about letting all of us without masks sit in one carriage in the train. If that means we all get to avoid wearing masks, I'll settle for there being masked and non-masked sections in public places.

Quite, especially since around that time people were throwing caustic liquids around too, so it might be an embarrassing but harmless milkshake, or might melt your face off, so the only sensible option if you get hit by unknown liquid is to is to assume the worst and panic, if you wait a few seconds to see which it is you might be too late.

There is an open Border between UK & Eire, i flew from Dublin to Birmingham, the plain was full off Europeans, Romanians etc. We were bussed to Arrivals, there was no Passport Control at all everyone just walked into the UK.
