Definitely the best criticism of Fik Shun i've seen. You explain everything about him perfectly. Sometimes us non-dancers find it hard to understand why we like something so much but you really hit it on the head.

talking about dubstep music, can you give some examples of the music most dancers use vs. the rhythm based examples you referred to? id like to hear the difference..i have a hard time distinguishing between all the genres...
There is a label called Deep Medi that has great examples of the older, darker, more rhythmic style of dubstep. Some artists I’d check out: Mala, (old) James Blake, Mount Kimbie, Skream, Author, Pinch, 6Blocc... to name a few :)

Also, Fikshun hardly ever choreos anything..most of his dancings and performances are like 80-90% freestyled. and he would only choreo moments instead of whole sequences

I was wondering if for this series you were ever planning on giving your prospective on popping groups (e.g., Poreotics) in addition to soloists. I think it'd be interesting to hear your thoughts on how popping specialists approach group choreography as well as their freestyles and solo choreography. Either way, props and respect to your work! Thanks for doing what you do.

I like these videos a lot, so many more people to watch, Chibi, Tight Eyez, JaJa and Dytto to get some Females some love(would love to know who some of your favorite females dancers are). Not sure if you will do bboys/bgirls harder to talk about with what they do but there are some Legendary ones still killing it today like Hong 10. As for Fik-Shun he has a funny sense of humor about him when he dance, it adds so much character to him.
If you compare today's fik-shun from before, you can clearly see the difference and he is way way better before. Better musicality, creativity, animation, and control of energy
Maybe he looks up to you and that's why he uses a few of your things? I understand stealing moves cause I was a different kind of dancer.... But at least it's a positive thought. He does use krump alot. I love krump.
when an expert is reacting to something in his field, he analyzes too much (which is fine) instead of reacting to the dance as it is. u know what i mean.
To be honest i feel that he is a major fan of yours and phillips if yah see some of his really early stuff he did incorporate alot of stuff from you guys i feel early on but aaawe yeah fikshun and robert collab yo that right there would be tight @w@ though outside of sytycd and wod he's been kinda quiet on youtube but either way dude oozes that make dance fun factor that like you said anyone can appreciate @w@

that just proves hes freestyling. dancers tend to rehash movements when freestyling..they're go-to's
