@@JeremyY It's currently in development; we hope to debut the Festival this summer. Right now we're collecting material and looking for input and ideas for how best to present the shorts and interstitials to the residents. The idea is to have the Festival centered on the new Courtyard outside of Central Memorial Recreation Centre, on Stinson Street across from Carter Park. We also intend to do mobile presentation (with a bike trailer and battery power) of shorts at various outdoor locations around the neighbourhood, places like the Rail Trail, Under The Claremont, Corktown Station, and the Turtleback Stage in Carter Park to promote the idea of having more local films shown outside. We're learning there are a number of independent filmmakers and hobbyists in the Stinson and Corktown neighbourhoods. We want to create a place for their work to be shown locally, and also generally promote the idea of using the many public spaces we are gifted with to their fullest. At a time soon, when we are all going out again, we'll be making the call for anyone interested to attend an ideas session to hash out more ideas and plan for first year of the festival. You are most welcome to join us in the planning if you like. We would love to get a copy of your original footage, and any ideas...

@@Brighthomes1 LOL, I think we meant *copy* of the final cut! We are not filmmakers ourselves, just trying to help create space for those who are to get it out there in the Stinson/Escarpment neighbourhoods, and all work together to liven up some of the fantastic outdoor spaces we're so lucky to have here.
