And there are so many songs I would want to hear that just wont be on the set list Im gonna just remember the past concerts I saw. I saw them at Richfield Coliseum (best sound) and Public Hall, Cleveland. Fee signed by ticket.
Yeah, I'm finding that with a lot of artists I've admired over the years. It's sad, but it reminds me that I'm getting old and nothing lasts forever. How do you quit doing what has been your passion for your whole life? Plus, how many of them made enough money to support them in old age? The Tubes aren't even in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. How can that be?
I first saw the at the Pantagous theatre in Hollywood CA. I was 17. There were all the origional players. I think there were 12 people in the band. Over the years it has shrunk, almost a microcosim (Of what once was)-I get it. It cost big bucks to have all those people on the road). This is the first time Fee did not have his "Q" guitar and was not dressed as Quay. The memories are still good and crystal clear.

I've been a big fan for a long time but saw them in Manchester UK last year and Fees voice has definitely gone. Still great to hear all those brilliant songs.
Okay, so the musicians can still cut it but poor old Fee only has a few notes left to sing with and he sounds a little 'gaspy' with it. He's 73 now and sounds like some old coot ordering kids off his lawn...
I saw them last night at the UA-cam theater in Englewood at the totally tubular festival. Sadly his voice is going but it's still an experience to see him. I was so young when I first saw their videos on MTV they were some of the first
I saw them for first and only time in a small hall (The Brandywine Club in Chadds Ford, PA) in the early 80s. A great time. The image that sticks in my mind was the lead singer coming out in a sequined g-string wearing big light up glasses and big platforms. That was a sight.
The stripped-down stage brings back memories of the Love Bomb tour. The Suits motif is a nice nod to the days of Backward Completion, and there is no denying the Tubes are still a tight musical act.

In their heyday they were the greatest. Now, it's a bit sad to see them. I guess everyone has to make a living.
