National City: I-5 Crash Caught on Video 05072022

CITY: National City, CA.
DETAILS:
A newer model BMW Coupe was driving recklessly Southbound on the I-5 freeway when it suddenly struck a White Lexus Sedan causing it to lose control and striking another motorist traveling in a Black BMW sedan. The Black BMW also caused a chain reaction crash to a Black Volvo sedan that ended up being stalled on the #4 lane of the I-5 freeway.
An unknowing motorist who was also driving Southbound in a KIA SUV struck the stalled Volvo sedan and crashed. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured in the crash. The occupants of the White Lexus sedan fled shortly after the crash.
The driver of the Volvo sedan was evaluated for DUI and ultimately arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. The driver of the White BMW Coupe was also evaluated and arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.

I think they also cited him for vehicle code 26708, those ear grommets were blocking his side view. I wonder if they whistle in the wind when the windows of the car are rolled down?

San Diego freeways are a warzone.....it was peaceful when I got out in 89', but ain't nothing, but insanity on these roads now....stay,safe, avoid any confrontation s, be kind, try to.avoid drunk drivers times, educate others about the serious dangers of drunk driving and drinking period, distracted driving....these freeways are level 10 driving...and a powder keg at any moment
I was in the black bmw traveling around 68mph... at a high rate of speed I saw in my rear view mirror a vehicle trying to split lanes in-between the white Lexus and he collided with the white Lexus first then dead into my trunk as you can see in the video , and I skid into a ditch . Idk how I would cause a chain reaction as my front wasn't demolished like the Volvo im almost sure the Volvo or whatever that black car with the missing wheel and demolished front end caused the accident . I was sober getting off the first day of my new job what a nightmare
