That jazz bass with the block inlays is crazy!
I would like to hear Robin Trower play this on stage he can do it justice . 🎸🏄♂️✨✨☮️🇺🇸🏄♂️
Robin prefers large head stocks on his Fenders. More mass, more sustain.
Hey Norm - you’re not wearing gloves anymore? Does that mean customers can’t get a free Prostate Exam with each purchase?
With his prices you can still feel violated, gloves or not..
Those Strats!.......in my dreams!
Talk about a bucket list destination.
Jesus, both of those strats are nice! I've seen cleaner but I still don't even want to know what you're asking for them
Great knowledge of guitars, love it 🎸
Awesome Norm🙏
My absolute dream guitars right there
All the tuning problems with trem-equipped Stratocasters (and most other trem-equipped guitars) comes from lack of fluidity either at the nut or the bridge, or both. These are really fun guitars. My first guitar was a 1954 Stratocaster given to me Christmas of 1963, well-worn, but still beautiful!
Now that’s what I’m talking about yeah. Play them bad boys yeah.
That walnut ES335 is gorgeous. Ever since I took my first wood shop class in 7th grade (1974), walnut has held a special place in my love for wood. It was more expensive and look so much more rich than the other woods we used,to build projects. I always assumed walnut was rarely used in guitars building because of some performance or cost issues. But now that I’ve seen that beautiful hollow body Gibson, I really want one. So cool.
Walnut was just the stain color. Made of maple ply like the other colours were.
@@c.p.1589 oh, you popped my balloon, but thanks for clarifying.
@@bldallas Actually, some of the walnut finished and natural 335s ( like the ES340 variant) had a beautifully figured birch ply. They can be very pretty.
Norm knows a thing, or two, about guitars, huh? Great to hear him put the expertise on display and get to soak it up!
what he ISN'T telling you is that the '55 strat sounds pretty much like one right off the shelf.
How sweet it is...🎼💕
Norm is one bad ass dude..... beautiful guitars......
Love the tele
Jeez... That Sunburst Tele and that Ricky 340 !
That 55 Strat is the same age as me! I"m not sure which one of us is in better shape though. :-)
Love the videos
I'm about to nitro spraypaint a maple neck. What's the name of the color of the strat necks? Is it amber? It's perfect!!
I just think a Strat without the tremolo is sort of like a Ferrari without a stick shift.
nice middle sound
Norms warehouse is gotta be what dreams are made of
I’m not a huge Strat guy, but I’d love a vintage hardtail👍
if hardtails evolved after vibrato, you would go 'that makes sense' . wammy bars are only for people who love tuning their guitar every 5 minutes
That ‘72 Jazz is one for Geddy Lee fans - he has a few like that.
The middle posish on that 56... 🙏
I need a vintage guitar warehouse
Wish I could afford a 50s hardtail. I have a 2004 American series hardtail. I've changed pickups & it is sweet but those 50s hardtails are magical.
I have a Robert Cray Signature hardtail Strat.
id take it and run for the hills!
How much is the 1971 walnut 335?
I forget if the untouched guitars are as sought after as the beat up guitars. The must not be. I am surprised how cheap they are. We can peak at some of the hang tags. Crazy world...
Sweet
and clank goes norm's ring on the neck
That’s what happens when you literally have a warehouse of them haha
Whatever, I like the hard tails, great guitars!
people with hughe amounts of money can have all the nice toys the world has to offer..
Please Norm, could someone find an old SAMICK in the warehouse, and play it??
Norm, Joe is NOT (just) your friend, he's your Nephew ;)
I wonder how many hardtail 55’s exist?
what amp were you using with that 56 strat?
Looks like a Super Reverb!
Deluxe reverb*
Lemme have it 😍
Look like Buddy Holly's
Three cheers for Walnut 335s!
i had a 72 with a bigsby and gibson engraved on the pickup covers all original...
Might want to pick up that name you just dropped.
Does Joe Bonamassa just magically appear upon mention of a 55 Strat?
i'd kill for that bass!!!...no, i'm serious...
Could hardly hear Norm for the first minute . Strat sounds great. But... talk ,then play . Or play then talk
That Telecaster us Bad Ass!!! I have seen one telecaster like tha one norm had if it had a bigsby underneath thr pickgaurd they have 666 engraved into the body from factory....
?
@@denniskramer9657 ?
I thought it a bit rude with the bloke playing over Normans descriptions?.
Karen?
Hey Norm can you hurry up and fire Lemmo so he can go get a job as a musician to make records we all love? I'm sad to say that he has replaced Mark in my heart but that's okay because he is the most inventive guitar player and innovator I have seen pop-up in the past five decades
Id add every youngster grabbin‘ a walnut a 5kg bag of best variety in the mix. 🐿
[wallnuts ‘superfootaged prom🍩tions]
Come on Joe .. Let the rest of the world enjoy these treasures too. You should have a governor put on you ..lol.
ooooh,...lemmo said shit...lol
lem shoud costar
50s strats are something else... still not for my pocket, though
hmmmm good..tasty
I'm first....wow...
Hey, I was BORN in '55! Just send it to me at the following address...
I know a guy who has a dozen 50s and 60s strats, one owned by Steve Wynwood. This guy has Les Pauls, strats, Explorers, Duo Sonics,Martins, you name a holy grail,I bet he has one. The greatest unknown collection in history. Im afraid for all those guitars, he lives in squalor like a hoarder.
Norm is a great example.
My Mexican strat that I traded for The Great Lost Kinks album sounds just like that. Cost me 50 bucks. Plus I had another copy of the album anyway. Only a million bucks or so for this one but didn’t Leo put dirt from his Mojo bag under the pickups! LOL .
$25,900 for a 1969 Tele? C'mon Norm, your'e just taking the piss now!
Too bouncy camera to watch
This guy playng guitar, STILL not getting it!
that face diaper...
Danelectros “these were very inexpensive guitars” asking for $2,800 💀
That walnut is turd color. 😀
Stop playing while he's talking
lose that mask! jeeeze!
disgusts me how much money people make off these instruments
These guitars go round and round to basically the same rich people. And they don't make that much money. It's not like they found them in the closet. They pay big bucks for these and they sell it for a modest profit.
Buy a brand new USA Strat and console yourself with knowing it's a much better playing and sounding guitar.
They are only worth what people are willing to pay. What gets me is when people actually believe they sound better. They are old. They don’t acquire magic tone powers for being 60 years old. Some have a specific character, but you know what? Lots of new guitars do too. Lol
Pre CBS guitars are pretty cool. Each one is different. Cookie cutter guitars can be great too.
Why? It's their money.
for sale for 1 million us dollar another boomer guitar getting lost in a closet yey
The whole time I am watching this the owner has this look on like “why does this moron have a mask on” can’t say I blame him for thinking that
@@guitarocd9984 yeah go ahead and delete your 50 crazy comments they have already been reported
He's an employee who is doing exactly what the boss man requires him to do. Back to guitars.
@@steveb9325 very rock and roll lol so as the man says lol
@@AniJudaism yes sir
@@steveb9325 didn’t really end well for my people when we were forced to wear something to go to the grocery store or to the doctor etc in the 1940s in Germany. It’s crazy to me people don’t see the direct parallels to this.
