I'm actually somewhat impressed by how well NL performed on this one. There's always the layer of 'talking while playing makes it harder' on all games, but throwing it on what is essentially a puzzle rhythm game of all things makes it all the more impressive.
The egg has ascended! The quick twitch nature of this puzzler has activated his latent neural pathways enabling him to succeed where others might fail!
I gotta say, I've never been LESS mad at NL playing a puzzle game. Normally, the madness comes with the solution staring him in the face and him being one move away and just refusing to make it. That doesn't happen with puzzles that are more timing than anything else, there's no potentiality for that rage problem. Had nothing but a smile on my face the whole time. I would love to see a whole playthrough of this, and would pay actual human dollars to see NL and someone(probably Dan) try to play this is Co-op on the NLSS. And if there's a 4p mode where each player only gets one direction, that would be ultimate peak team unity.
Very impressed with the decision making and the button execution. The co-op mode described is my actual nightmare, but I'm sure this is exactly what some people are looking for.
I loved this NL Tries! I always love the puzzle genre for the series, but this was even better. I think especially because of the two-layer element to each level, where first you have to figure out what it is you have to do (but you don't have all summer to do it) and then actually having the hand-eye-brain coordination to make it happen. That's why I thought your comparison of this game to an Apollo level in SMM2 is very apt, cause it also has this two-step scenario where figuring out what to do is only half the battle. Keep up the good work Ryan!
Level 1: Oh this doesn't seem so bad. Level 5: Oh screw this bud. Seems interesting but I'm not certain I'd enjoy playing this 😅 EDIT: On further consideration it reminds me of Mario vs. Donkey Kong, except much faster paced haha
I thought this game was unreasonably hard and then I remembered the video was at 2x speed, still seems pretty difficult though and NL seems much better at 2x
On the level with the first lock, he solves it by double pressing very fast at the last moment while there are no other spikes in the level, he could have thrown in an extra press at ANY point in the level just to change the parity and be fine
See I know this is a video game, but I just can't stop thinking about who would design infrastructure intended for logistics with spikes all over the freakin' road.
4:08 you mean your brain's ability to swap between two tracks of thought quickly. you actually cannot focus on more than one thing in the same instant.
man I don't like to be all 'he said the word wrong' but is 11:14 really how you pronounce modulo? I'm a software developer and I've never once heard the emphasis put on the u Good video though, this honestly looks very hard
The fact that this guy waits til the very end to swap the arrow direction pisses me off. He failed twice in one level (5:52, 6:05) because of it. No reason to wait that long, dude.
I know we have to give streamers a bit of leeway because talking and gaming is hard. But there’s nothing more anxiety-inducing than NL waiting until the LAST possible moment to change switches when he knows full-well what he’s about to do and has like 10 blocks to do it.
Northernlion Plus I’ll be the first in line of “People who are much worse at video games than Ryan” so sorry for the rude comment! I do get that YT mob mentality sometimes when reading comments. Keep up the great work NL!
vietrofl I’m pre-WotL, babyyyyy. It’s just that as a puzzle guy myself, seeing the answer when he doesn’t is very frustrating, especially when he’s just one step away.
“I’m a glutton for punishment” - Ryan “step on me and watch me crack” Letorneau
"No other character makes getting stepped on feel so good" - NL on Bayonetta
Pawat4988 I’m sensing a pattern....

8:24 "I don't know what they do in their homelife" comedy gold
Enel’s tactic of getting us frustrated to buy the game and play it ourselves is working. Keep entertaining us EggDaddy
I did bought Divinity 2 this week.
*looks up from One Step From Eden* Hm?
I bought both baba is you and slay the spire
I just realized NL and Enel have similar names and are both bald bros
~Dist also a character in One Piece
The egg has ascended! The quick twitch nature of this puzzler has activated his latent neural pathways enabling him to succeed where others might fail!

@@Northernlion NL thanks for the biology help

NL did really good on this game considering his brain either mindfloods and madcats or overheats and starts randomly making callbacks to old songs.
Very impressed with the decision making and the button execution. The co-op mode described is my actual nightmare, but I'm sure this is exactly what some people are looking for.

NL's brain glycogen seems high in this video. Must be all that fried spam.
'i think he's called a bottom robot but i don't know what he does in his private life' you silly egg, you got me good
The colour palette, character designs and the music are all super appealing, they did a great job.
I love the little Wagtail birds in every map
Dude, I'm really impressed with your gameplay on most of these levels.
First time watching you play a puzzle game where I feel you are a god. This game would flood my mind so hard.
Level 1: Oh this doesn't seem so bad.
Level 5: Oh screw this bud.
Seems interesting but I'm not certain I'd enjoy playing this 😅
EDIT: On further consideration it reminds me of Mario vs. Donkey Kong, except much faster paced haha
Watching NL play puzzle games is my replacement for playing torturecore platformers. AND I LOVE IT SO MUCH
as someone who likes to poke fun at your puzzling game skills, i will admit that you outperformed me in this one
*NL puts out a puzzle game on NLT*
Me: "Oh, so that's what we're gonna do today? We're gonna be mad?"
Actually bravo, がんばてい、finished all the puzzles in a well thought out manner
TL Notes: ganbatei or ganbatte means "congratulations" in japanese
This game is actaully incredible, thank you for this video
8:33 little brother spam in chat
We may make fun of you egg, but this video makes me proud that you didn't overheat that cerebellar.
The descend into madness starts at 16:47
19:28. I was wondering how long it would take him to just put both of the carts in there, I guess doing it by accident also works
You didn't even need the face cam* for this one the little man is doing all the reactions needed
Some tough puzzles Northern!
Very cool, more please.
You know it's gonna be good when you see "Puzzle Game" in the title of an NL video
My brain got tired by just looking at this. My brain glycogen storage will be depleted after playing each level for sure.
I thought this game was unreasonably hard and then I remembered the video was at 2x speed, still seems pretty difficult though and NL seems much better at 2x
This game looks so hard. Like having two conversations at once.
im judging you for that bottom robot statement
Ricardo Coleman I’m judging you for judging
As I was watching this, I wondered how you were supposed to react that quickly, until I realised I had been watching at 2x speed the entire time.
This episode should be titled "The monologue"
Het NL great video as usual, commenting mostly for algorithm friend. Have a good day everyone
only a hero can save us
On the level with the first lock, he solves it by double pressing very fast at the last moment while there are no other spikes in the level, he could have thrown in an extra press at ANY point in the level just to change the parity and be fine
this game is insane and looks awesome!!
Hey, they made a full game around the Undyne fight mechanics, cool!
I feel this is less puzzler and more hight speed reaction
See I know this is a video game, but I just can't stop thinking about who would design infrastructure intended for logistics with spikes all over the freakin' road.
14:10 Just send them both left... Just.. just go LEFT...
That level made my brain feel the same way as watching NL play Baba is You
Egg be memeing "Controller go brrrrr"
This video saturated my cerebral cortex
I like this video, Ryan.
12:05 favorite point in the video
4:08 you mean your brain's ability to swap between two tracks of thought quickly. you actually cannot focus on more than one thing in the same instant.
maybe you can't
This game seems really engaging, but its soundtrack/that constant whistly noise in the background would absolutely drive me insane.
the egg puzzlemaster has returned
Seems to be a clever game
3:40 - steamed eggs and hams.
God this is reminding me of programming class
man I don't like to be all 'he said the word wrong' but is 11:14 really how you pronounce modulo? I'm a software developer and I've never once heard the emphasis put on the u
Good video though, this honestly looks very hard
in the business we just call it a percento
Holy shit it's abstract Dance Dance Revolution, I would not be able to play this very well at all
Ooo I am a speedy boi
If you pause at 21:16 you'll see that he was on the spiles 100% but didn't die. I call hacks
that's resin
0:30 Yo why does this sound so much like someone knowing on my door though what the heck
Oh god actually every single menu movement sounds like someone knowing on my door lmao this is so anxiety inducing
This game reminds me of Chip's Challenge
8:34 power bottom
Why is daddy referring to the water as the “drink” 👁👄👁
Designed to make a deviled egg reveal his true colors.
The fact that this guy waits til the very end to swap the arrow direction pisses me off. He failed twice in one level (5:52, 6:05) because of it. No reason to wait that long, dude.
Damaging transit
Why he keeps changing direction just to flip spikes?
I know we have to give streamers a bit of leeway because talking and gaming is hard. But there’s nothing more anxiety-inducing than NL waiting until the LAST possible moment to change switches when he knows full-well what he’s about to do and has like 10 blocks to do it.
If you think that's anxiety inducing you should try reading a long UA-cam comment
Northernlion savage
Northernlion Lol this is why we love you. I hope you know that when some of us give you a hard time
Northernlion Plus I’ll be the first in line of “People who are much worse at video games than Ryan” so sorry for the rude comment! I do get that YT mob mentality sometimes when reading comments. Keep up the great work NL!
Lego Alpha Team
This one is messed up.
I wish I was smart enough to make a joke about joker. But alas I am simple minded
big brain
Entertaining 🌛😆
This one seems like a real doozie. Entertaining nonetheless.
More
Is this replacing Egg is You?
im not even playing and i hate this.
ChuChu Rocket maaaaaaate
Why don't you press the button way before they reach the arrow so you have longer to think about your next move...
#RyanHearted
can we get real programing videos EggDad
Congrats on the babe girl NL
ok boomer
This is actually one of the most painful things I've ever watched.
He beat nearly a puzzle every minute and sight read quite a few of them. Idk what more you can expect honestly
This is honestly one of NL's best performances, if you think is bad than I advise you not to watch 98.6% of his puzzle videos.
You must be new to this channel 😂
vietrofl I’m pre-WotL, babyyyyy. It’s just that as a puzzle guy myself, seeing the answer when he doesn’t is very frustrating, especially when he’s just one step away.
You're trick of pretending to be bad to make me want to buy the game isn't gonna work this time!
Cute game
Cute tiny top right enelle
Has a rhythm game feel except music isnt the main element
Looks fun, but for the price you can get Plants VS Zombies and Terraria, for a simple time waster it doesn't seem worth it.
