Honestly, the ability to pick what type of fight you want your cards to have is definitely intriguing. The type beats type system is simple enough to understand, and the zone movement mechanic gives the field a nice sense of depth.
It's deceptively simple lol, very easy to learn the steps but then you get to introduce the types of strategies seen in the video with facedown cards, combat cards, and gene surging, and it gets wild 🤣
I appreciate your positive analysis of the game! As Racie said, it gets pretty nuts lol! I'll have games with people where you just sit back and go "....hmm." because your opponent has created some kind of crazy puzzle for you to solve. Pop by the Discord some time and check out a game!
@@PKSkyler yeah what Spud said, we have plans for at least 10 hybrids in the first set and definitely more in the future, along with fusions too (and THEIR hybrids!)

This is so awesome to come back and watch on occasion. Something to note: a few mechanics have adjusted slightly (we'll make a new video when we can 🤟!). The row below the Crown Slots where Locations are played is now filled with World Slots instead of being... Nameless. World Slots hold wild monsters, quests, NPCs, Locations, etc. this allows your Crown Slots to always be more filled with Monsters for more combat (and protects your quests and such a little more). Mostly this aged very well, and I'm looking forward to us printing!
Each of your active monsters can attack once per turn, and you can have up to five monsters on the field, so you can really whale on an opponent if you get the opportunity 🤣

Hey I have a crazy idea how about instead of you peddling off your card game why don't you fix and make monster crown the console game playable again you know the one you updated then broke then abandoned.
Fix number one before you even think of a number two we can’t even access mon box on ps4/5 and we’re asked to pay $19 just make a laptop 💻 in main character bedroom for a second access route dlc

Probably inspired by something like "Legend of the 5 Rings" LCG from 5+ years ago (Military and Political status/battles).
