If you want to remove the phone number from your Google account then what you do is go to "settings" here and you have to go to this option "Google". Your google account will show here. Tap on this option "Manage your Google account". Go to "Personal Info". Scroll down and here you will see your phone number. Tap on the arrow next to the phone number. Again you will see your phone number here. Again tap on the arrow next to the phone number and here there is Delete option. Tap on it. Now you have to either use the Passkey or what you can do is you select this option "Tray Another way". After that go to this option "Enter your password" and if you enter the password of your gmail account or the google account the phone number will be removed from your Google account.
