Mike's intuition is crazy! " drive safely...take your time... drive safe...who's driving?...you guys sure you're going to make it?... be safe!" glad you guys are okay!
Recommended tire pressure (cold) will be found on the inside of the driver side door jam. The PSI number (50) you saw on the tire is the MAX PSI the tire can be filled up to before becoming dangerous. If you fill the tire to 45 and drive, the PSI may reach up to 48 - 50 which is dangerously close to max pressure. Recommend filling to recommended tire pressure listed on the drive side door jam, let the car sit over night in a shaded area where sun cannot hit the tires, and fill the tire to the proper pressure if necessary. Repeat the same steps the following day to assure the PSI is even with other tires.
so glad you guys got there safe and came across those good samaritans! Love people like that. Hope the rest of the year is smooth sailing, good luck Katie! You'll do great :)
Thank god nothing happened to you. I was very scared. I send you the best greetings from Switzerland, take care of yourselves! Much love and respect to you
I remember my mom's vehicle having a flat tire on my way back to college for my last semester. This occurred 4 years ago. The tire that gave out was brand new too and was not repairable. Thankfully Katie's spare tire was easily accessible. Katie's dorm room is is size of my last dorm room ( bedroom) but with 2 people in it maybe even smaller than that.
The donnellys are just having a hard time getting to school this year! First Ryan late to the first day and than Katie’s popped tire lol, hopefully things go smoothly for Brennan :)
Brennan sets the scene for a beautiful afternoon of baseball in South Tampa: "Boys, bats, baseballs, bevs, 'brats'--awesome dogs, 'are you serious?', buttered buns, and the Baltimore Orioles whuppin' the Tampa Bay Rays, once again, and in their home stadium‼️"
Your mom was right for checking...on Jeeps (and lots of cars) that front and back PSI can be different...and PROTIP- the PSI is also listed on the inside of your driver side door sticker which is usually a lot easier than looking at the tire
I was about to comment this also! We always regularly check the tyre pressures to spot any slow punctures and especially before long journeys to prevent tyre popping. The little sticker on the door is so helpful
Small world...my daughter is a freshman at FSU, and she is also in that dorm in the West building. We are in Land O' Lakes, not too far from south Tampa. Have you tried taking the Veterans to the Suncoast (589) until the last exit and then head west to US 19, go right and take it to the end? You run right into Monroe Street. We usually get there in 3 and a half hours. It is a safer and more peaceful ride with very little traffic. Apalachee pkwy is what US 19 becomes once you hit the Tallahassee area. You can avoid I-75 and I-10. I was terrified of my daughter driving to school alone on I-75 and I-10 so we wanted a route without the 75mph highways. I hope your daughter has a wonderful freshman year at FSU. It really is a beautiful campus and a great school!
just the fact that you were able to get off the highway with that tire blown glad you are both safe and yes there are still some very nice people out to help
Katie I love the fact that you are not afraid to give thanks to God for watching out for the two of you. Brennan I am a long time die hard Oriole fan. Here's to O's. Good luck back at school.
YIKES! Scary alright. Yes under pressure, especially in the heat, can cause more of the tire's surface to contact the hot road, increased flexing, heat from friction, fiber separation, and a blowout.. Thank God you were able to safely pull over. 13:57 actually there is a formula, tires gain or loose 1 PSI for every 10℉ change in temperature. 50 PSI is the max at cold, Your drivers manual will have recommended driving pressures, or most newer cars also list the pressures on a tag on the inside of the drivers side door frame. 😊👍
That’s cool that Florida has roadside help! I’m glad that you both were safe and it’s awesome that some good people offered to help. I’m a young adult who travels to school and work and this type of car trouble on the freeway is something that I now realize I have to plan for.
Hello Precious Family, I truely believe GOD sends is ANGELS!!! When I was very young, moving a mattress died on my car top,it blew off on a highway, busy busy With summer traffic. I live at the Jersey Shore!!! As I was assessing the situation pulled to the side of the road, viewing my mattress on the road,a truck stopped,an adorable cowboy type guy jumped down, pulled a rope out of his truck, proceeded to pick up my mattress, placed in on top of my car and tied it with his rope.He quickly got in.his truck before I could even say goodbye!!! I love, love, love the Donnelly family!!! In the midst of so much brokeness, in our country, you!!! Are a Bright Light!!!! 😉❤🙏
I will never understand dorm rooms. Like I get that you have so many students that have to live on campus but for the bed to literally be in the closet?? It’s absolutely crazy! I’m heading into my 2nd year!
Katie you are exactly right God sent an angel to help you and your mom. Then we have the boys going to a game REALLY? Blessings to you both Katie especially your precious mom.
I’m so glad the service man was there to help! I was freaking out when I saw you adding more air to your tires!! Usually it tells you how much to keep your tires at on the inside if your door.
Ohhh such bad luck to pop a tyre!! I had to laugh though as while you were showing how flat the tyre was an advert came on …for Car Insurance!! Of all things - very appropriate! Glad you got there safely in the end!! Enjoy Freshman Year Katie!
Can't believe Katie's in college! I've been watching your family since 2015! Crazy how fast children grow. So excited to see the adventures college has for Katie!
I work with tires daily: u don’t wanna go to the max rate, u wanna look on your door and look at the front a rear psi. Off the top of my head I’d guess the sticker for that is 35 - 40. Setting it at the max pressure can cause that to happen again. Generally cars 28-32 suvs/jeeps 35-45 trucks can range depending on tire rating and truck size
It happened to me while I was at the Walmart parking lot yesterday. But apparently the car battery from the Tahoe has died and it needs new battery. But roadside assistance came and save us. My mom is with me yesterday. Also I didn’t freak out, and I’ve stayed calm before help arrives. Also what made me happy is to have fun playing Saints Row all night last night until I went to bed around 3 AM.
It is such a shame college dorms . The price you pay to live on campus is awful . My son graduated from Duquesne University and his dorm was very similar. He had community restroom/ showers .
Oh my goodness that is crazy I'm am so sorry that happened to you guys and I'm am so happy that you guys are okay . Think God the toe truck came right away to help you guys please be very careful driving and stay safe I love you guys take care.
I’m always amazed at how momma Donnelly is able to pack up a vehicle 😂 She’s a rockstar ⭐️ Good luck at college Katie you’re going to do great 😊 thank goodness Jill went with Katie 😅
If you were up north I could see the big treads. But not Florida . For regular road driving those big studded tires are not good, those are off road rock jeeping tires. Regular treads are also good on a jeep
Yay Ryan and Brennan Michael the orioles is my home team wow and I was wondering do you guys like the ravens . All of you guys are so cool and awesome 😎 I love all of you guys have fun and please be careful and stay safe..
Jill your such a good mom . I have a wonderful one as well . You make my day by how you live your life . Good look Katie and Brendon . Ryan is going to do great as well. Love you videos . They mean more than you know . Have a great week .
Katie didn't have that happen to me but something just as dangerous in my jeep. My lug nuts that hold the tire sheared off and my tire fell off my jeep. Luckily I was only about a quarter mile down the street from my house and the jeep landed on the tire. Rim destroyed.
Never go full pressure in the summertime, your tires should be at 35 psi so when they heat up they can heat up 5-8 psi, and off-road tires like yours heat up even more than regular car tires.
American dorms are crazy , in the uk you get a room on your own , no sharing at all and alot of them have ensuits and max 6 people in a hall , this hall you share a kitchen and 3 bathrooms
When doing road trips it's not always wise to trust everybody you encounter. Of course people will approach in a nice way to gain your trust. You guys got lucky.
She stopped way off the road but whenever possible you should get out of the car and stay as far away from the road as possible. If there is a guardrail, get behind the guardrail. Too many accidents with broken down cars by people not paying attention or drunken or sleepy and accidentally driving into breakdown lane and hitting cars and people
Good things happen to good people , Gill you are such a positive person and Katie seems to be the same due to her upbringing . So glad things worked out after the tyre blowout . You def had a guardian angle , Caleb most likely 💙💙
When God is your co😇pilot‼️I had to applaud Jill controlling and maneuvering the vehicle safely to the side of the road‼️How about you Katie, after that "cringy" airliner landing protocol car talk the other day ⁉️Texas had the Lone Ranger, but Florida has the Road Rangers 🤠, "Hi-yo, Highway Help Truck! Away‼️"
Wow, way to not be prepared. Cheap tires, wrong inflation pressure, lucky you didn't flip that jeep which is pretty easy to do and get really hurt. Lucky the service truck showed up too. Super dangerous to be on the side of a freeway. lol Florida is full of crazy people. Lucky Florida man didn't show up to wreak Havok. So, the tire pressure is on the sticker on the inside of the driver's door jamb, please set it to the factory pressure and don't trust a bunch of nuts at a gas station.
The moral of the story ,one should not travel alone if you have men to go with you. Tire pressure and heat makes a lot of sense . poor cats ,Alice and Edward ,they will miss Katie ,like her them. Hope ,the game was worth not seeing Katie through her adventure ,back to college! Yes, we all have angels ,watching over us !😎

Katie, your little bedroom was good practice for dorm room living. Glad you two safely got to the college. 👼

SURPRISED THAT THEY WERE ABLE TO FIT EVERYTHING IN THE JEEP!
just the fact that you were able to get off the highway with that tire blown glad you are both safe and yes there are still some very nice people out to help

Katie
I love the fact that you are not afraid to give thanks to God for watching out for the two of you. Brennan I am a long time die hard Oriole fan. Here's to O's. Good luck back at school.
Look into where you got the tires. I think the one that popped is a RE tread. The tires gain pressure in the heat and lose pressure in the cold.
YIKES! Scary alright. KATIE'S ROOM IS SO TINY!
Just and FYI you do not go by the PSI on the tire. You go by the sticker that the manufacture puts on the drivers side door jam. Glad no one was hurt.
I recently found your channel and I love your videos! Thanks for providing me with a sense of family when I’m away from mine :)

I hope your next day was much less eventful. Such a great show of positivity. Some of us cant muster up that much.
The same thing happened to me moving to Montana from cali we had three out of 4 tires pop on our toy hauler trailer in the span of two days driving
In the dr8vers side door jam. There's a sticker that says the proper psi
I’m going to university in a few weeks so Katie going to college makes me feel better
Got u Katie..💫

God is on yall side
It is such a shame college dorms . The price you pay to live on campus is awful . My son graduated from Duquesne University and his dorm was very similar. He had community restroom/ showers .
kids remember that not checking car before every journey is asking for trouble
Becareful hitting potholes or curbs will break seal of tire on rim especially when tires underinflated!❤
Amen!
Glad you made it to Tallahassee safely. Katie needs a AAA Auto Club membership.
Can't say enough good things about AAA. They got me out of a few jams on the roadways.
I'm a Floridian and I was just thinking you should call Road Ranger. The number you dial is *347
Good luck katie
Oh my goodness that is crazy I'm am so sorry that happened to you guys and I'm am so happy that you guys are okay . Think God the toe truck came right away to help you guys please be very careful driving and stay safe I love you guys take care.
Hello thank you so much for the like I really appreciate it stay safe.
Ps thanks for sharing this adventure and object lesson with us.
I’m always amazed at how momma Donnelly is able to pack up a vehicle 😂
She’s a rockstar ⭐️ Good luck at college Katie you’re going to do great 😊 thank goodness Jill went with Katie 😅
A rock⭐star, and possibly, a returning waitress 3:07! Mike even gave it a 👍!
Open the umbrella in the house might be bad luck glad it wasn't worst♡
Awesome video I really like it lot it was cool and you made awesome video and you are best UA-cam channels and good luck Katie in college
He was your guardian angel
If you were up north I could see the big treads. But not Florida .
For regular road driving those big studded tires are not good, those are off road rock jeeping tires. Regular treads are also good on a jeep
Do you buy road hazard on your tires? They replace it if you do. Living in Michigan i always by the road hazard warranty.
I don't think he was an angel, I think he was just genuinely a nice person who was basically like an angel.
Yay Ryan and Brennan Michael the orioles is my home team wow and I was wondering do you guys like the ravens . All of you guys are so cool and awesome 😎 I love all of you guys have fun and please be careful and stay safe..
Oh Katie sweetheart it looks like jail. Love you both🌸🌸
It’s never a dull moment. Luckily the blow out was not worse. That’s so scary!! Glad she was able to move in. Did Katie find her ID?
The recommended tire pressure should be listed on a sticker located either in the door jam or on the edge of the door panel. Glad ya'll are safe.
Jill your such a good mom . I have a wonderful one as well . You make my day by how you live your life . Good look Katie and Brendon . Ryan is going to do great as well. Love you videos . They mean more than you know . Have a great week .
so should the tires be 32 or 45 with 50 PSI?
Katie didn't have that happen to me but something just as dangerous in my jeep. My lug nuts that hold the tire sheared off and my tire fell off my jeep. Luckily I was only about a quarter mile down the street from my house and the jeep landed on the tire. Rim destroyed.
Never go full pressure in the summertime, your tires should be at 35 psi so when they heat up they can heat up 5-8 psi, and off-road tires like yours heat up even more than regular car tires.

That is one good thing about Florida they have Road Rangers and no charge
American dorms are crazy , in the uk you get a room on your own , no sharing at all and alot of them have ensuits and max 6 people in a hall , this hall you share a kitchen and 3 bathrooms
Or it could of been a dry rotted tire. Even though it was new it could happen
Very nice Good sharing
Brennen, you live in Florida now. You must be a Rays fan now!
Katies room is so tiny! 😮 I personally wouldnt move in a cramped room like that.
Katie, get rid of those off road tires. Get some street tires, much smoother and quieter ride.
I thought they moved katie into her room awhile ago or where was that.
What part of Florida are you guys living at now? We are from Orlando. Hopefully we will run into each other some day.
When doing road trips it's not always wise to trust everybody you encounter. Of course people will approach in a nice way to gain your trust. You guys got lucky.
I don’t normally comment but where is the spare tyre ? 🤷🏽♀️🇹🇹
Jill lucky you didn't lose control of jeep
I LOVE YOU GUYS VIDEO

Where is Ryan thinking of going to college?
Don t know ,nor does he ,it s early but I hope he trys for an appointment to naval academy. . Florida is getting old.
I think that they've had pretty good luck with the first two kids. Maybe Ryan should skip college and live in a van somewhere in northern California.
in NJ they charge you 100 bucks if they pull over and help you like that.
Bastards.
Worth it tbh
