I just put my reservation fee on a sti that is in transit to a Bay Area dealership and can't wait to test it out. I've always wanted one of these for I don't know how long. From what I've noticed these cars hold their value pretty well. Great video and congrats on your purchase!
@@lrod8692 hey bro the suspension on this one is amazing super smooth and comfortable idk how bad your back is but it should be okay as long as you keep it stock.
I cant wait to see the new ones and hear how their new engine will sound but i just had to get this one for that iconic rumble , thanks bro appreciate it 👍👍
@@VelosterRally16_UV no worries. If I don't like the new STI I'm glad I can get the 2020 or 2021you know. I'm so glad you got your car with low miles. It is going to be hard for me to get rid of my WRX but 8 know I want the STI. I can't get another WRX. My WRX is a very good gas mileage car. The STI is the elite. Stay safe brother and enjoy you STI. 🙏
I was thinking of getting a lip to make it look a bit more aggressive but idk if want carbon fiber yet but yah i can imagine it would look super good with the color
Loved the video! I have a 2019 STI and have heavily modified it. Stage 3+ now and am having no issues. Let me know if you need any help or have questions about which mods to get first.
Thank you appreciate it , i think ima leave it stock for a while at least until warranty is over or i pay it off then I’ll probably just do bolt ons and tune then keep it as a fun daily but I’ll definitely keep you in mind idk anything about tuning lol
Great Video!! You should get an AOS (Air Oil Separator) and a cylinder 4 cooling mod installed as your 1st mods. These are most important especially prior to tuning it.
Haha that’s awesome bro 😎 we should cruise one of these days 👍 i haven’t really been in the case seen for a few years now thry always doing crazy stuff
Congrats how do you like the alcantara seats? I wonder how durable are they compare to the leather... I was once sitting on the seat with 2 credit cards in the back pockets on my pants ... Wonder if I did any damage to it .. nice car and nice color
Thanks appreciate it 👍 I actually really like them i feel like the alcantara keep more in place than leather, ive had full leather on my old car and i would slide around lol.
I live in Palm Desert , welcome to the STI fam . I bought mine at Palm Springs Subaru, they were good . I paid $35,500 for mine in Dec . I saw that black one at the dealership. I’ll follow you on Instagram
Honestly im pretty sure they are about the same my in a base model so all it had is apple play and heated seats and bluetooth no nav but you dont need it and i have recaro seats
If you decide to get an exhaust just get a catback to start. In my opinion avoid axlebacks because you’ll just want to upgrade again which was my experience with my wrx. I have a tomei catback now and by far my favorite exhaust on this car
Ive actually been thinking of that to just go full cat back right away and save the money lol i like how the tomei sounds i just dont like the one exit
@@VelosterRally16_UV agreed I wasn’t I fan of the single exit at first but it grows on you. So many options for cat backs on these cars so definitely worth seeing what you like best
That’s exactly what I was thinking that the car will probably be worth something a little bit later down the line because of this last year with the engine. Subarus already hold their value like crazy and I saw some crazy statistic that says Subarus bought in the last 10 years over 97% of them are still on the road today I’m willing to bet that 3% that aren’t on the road are probably STI’s though LOL
Man lucky haha i wanted a limit but they haven’t had any but im good with the base sti it’s already a lot more than my old car , enjoy it brother im loving mine so far
@@lrod8692 i do have the base and it did come with apple play and recaro seats and the nice wing I believe the only difference is that the limited one had a sunroof but honestly who needs that lol specially not here in cali its always super hot lol
Thanks bro out the door it ended up at 48k with taxes and everything but i put money down so it was under 40k financed. My insurance only went up $20 dollars than before so not bad ☺️ i have a pretty clean record tho so that helped i pay about $280 but for two cars.
I was about to ask the same question. The dealer up here in the Bay Area is asking for 44k I'm going to trade in my car with money down and try to get my payments in the fours. If you don't mind me asking what are your payments and how much did you put down? I'm guessing dealer asking price for your sti was about the same as mine maybe?
@@VelosterRally16_UV Currently on my 2019 STI I am running Borla S-Type catback exhaust for the past 2 years. I am taking it off and installing it once I get my 2021 STI.
@@VelosterRally16_UV yup. But well worth it! A moderate set up/tune will make the car feel so much better. Your are going to love it! And congratulations on the STI, it’s gorgeous! Stay safe
I thought about the type r but its so hard to find one that is marked up crazy and the Velo just doesn’t have enough power for me anymore and i wanted all wheel drive so the STI was perfect but i cant lie i love how the new N sounds 🤩
@@flat4wankel 0-60 I believe its faster but thats because the boost on the STI hits so damn late lol as well as im sure the N gets a lot of wheel hop stock since its only fwd i would love to race an N tho see how they do
