I’m a junior and UH has been my dream school for years, I’ve had a hard time finding videos on what it’s like being a student there, but I got recommended your videos and they’re super helpful! You are livin my dream I can’t wait to go to school there! great video I love your channel! :))
are u going there?
Are u there?
Can you pleaseeee make a video about everything you buy at the grocery store and the prices and things so I can get a better understanding of the price differences from where I am and there before I move for college?
Hey girly!!
Just wanted to let you know I just watched all your videos and absolutely loved them!! Please know you’ve got an audience when you want to make more! 💖💕
Yup
I am going to UH Mānoa for the summer semester and your videos have been so so helpful!!! I feel so much better after watching your channel
I'm going to UH manoa for the fall. I'm excited but I'm moving from NM to Hawaii without anyone I'm scared 😭
@@persephone2015 you'll be fine
@@persephone2015 wait let’s be friends I’m going too
@@persephone2015 I Love to swim
i’ll be there this fall!! super excited to meet new people and experience a new chapter of my life
How is it?
Loved this video! In another video to you mind going more into depth with tuition and being a resident? Thank you!
This maybe sounds weird but I’m from Germany and your name translates to “straight hair“ in German which I think is so funny since you have such nice curls also sorry for my bad english:))
haha someone actually told me that once! i think it’s hilarious
@@audreyglatthaar I am pregnant
I am pregnant
hi there! thank you so much for this video! i’m from Washington and am moving to UH Manoa in the fall! this video was extremely helpful! ❤️💐
i’m in WA and going to uh manoa in the fall too!!
I have no idea how i ended up here lol buuut I would recommend going to thrift shops. Graduates that leave the island rarely take all the stuff they accumulated and end up donating. A good wash in hot water and bleach can give dishware, silverware, etc a new home. Then you can donate when your done if you leave the island 😊
oooohh yes that’s such a great idea! i didn’t even think about that! i’m renting a house next year and i’m gonna try to do that for furniture and house ware!
ahhh omg UH is literally my dream collage! I would do ANYTHING to be there. ughhhhh I'm from Georgia and don't know if I'll have the money to go. Thanks for the tips!!!!
heavy on the money
Thank you for making this video! It's very helpful! ❤
Hii! you're most likely busy with school right now but your videos have helped me soo much so tyy!!❤ can't wait until you post again :)
I’m from Chicago and just got accepted. I’m nervous about moving there and not knowing anyone.
Hey girl!! Also from WA, thinking about attending University of Hawaii- Manoa once my enlistment is up 💕💕💕🏝🏝🌊
GIRLLL I’M FROM WA STATE & WILL BE THERE THIS FALL
OMG i’m from washington and am a junior in high school. i am looking at schools to apply too and UH has been my dream school since i was little!
Hey! So I’m in community College for the next year but I’ll be trying my hardest to get a 3.50 average (quite nervous about math lmao), whats workload like, is it like absolutely drowning you or decent where you still have free time to explore the island?
Me laying in bed wishing my life could be like this
Hey I have a few questions but can you mail stuff to the dorm and when you got there where did you get the surfboard
love your hair!
Hi! There is a really good chance that I will be going there for the fall of 2022, I don’t know how many people I would know, do you think it’s easy to meet people there?
yes it’s very easy!! some of my best friends i met in line for the cafeteria, in the laundry room, and at the beach!!
what’s ur major because I’m going for fall 2022 as well
Also will be at UHM for Fall 2022!
i’ll be there this fall aswell!!
@@jade5023 currently in the environmental science major, but planning to switch to marine bio!
i love ur hair
How hard is it to get into? What was your gpa. I’m a sophomore and very interested but not sure how high I need my grades to be. Looks awesome!
3.50 and above will get you in
it has a pretty high acceptance rate
It’s an 84% acceptance rate you’ll be fineb
Where are you from?I am from California and I planning to come her but I am kinda scared being new out there and knowing how to swim etc.
i’m from washington state! ik it seems rly scary moving so far away but in my experience it starts feeling like home as soon as u get there
I went to Diamond Head three weeks ago!!
Hey Audrey,
I'd like to interview you if you're still down here in Hawaii?
I’m thinking of going to UH institute for astronomy as a grad student so idk if this would be any different or not
Hi can you link the scholarship website you mentioned!!
ahh I literally want to go here so badly. Are the classrooms and other buildings nice as well?
hi!! the classrooms are significantly nicer than the dorms. they are less outdated and most have ac. the campus center and cafeteria are also outdated and not as nice. the warrior rec center is probably the nicest building
Hello I'm from Cameroon and I wish to know what I need to study animal biology there in Hawaii as an international student
Thanks
As a freshman, how do I find people;roommates to live with them off campus?
pls make more vids i love watching! u r so pretty btw
awe ur the sweetest
Hi i am from turkiye.
Your video's very nice i love you babw
whats ur opinions on hawaii pacific university?
hi! I know a couple people who go to hpu and they seem to rly like it! its a private school so its definitely different from uhm! the only other thing that I know about it is that the graduation rate is super low ://
@@audreyglatthaar HI! I know a lot of people are turned off by the graduation rate but that's because we have a lot of students that come in and out. Specially military students. Also, a lot of people do leave HPU because it's not what they thought it was. Since it is private, mostly an urban campus, and not your typical university; many leave for UHM or back home to the mainland. It's not for everyone but I've enjoyed my time here a lot :). I've met people that have transferred from UHM to HPU and vice versa. It just depends on the college experience your looking for
@@tabrittian thank u!!
Hey!! :) I accidentally messed up on my application here so I mailed my appeal (and I’m pretty sure I’ll get in? Lmao I really hope I do, anyways,) for the first year I will pay out of state tuition, but if I get a Hawai’ian residency, can I start paying in state tuition after the first year? 😅 if you don’t know that’s okay too! :) thank you!!
Edit: my parents have also owned land here for 5+ years and in 2 years will build their house there. Does owning land mean I get in state tuition? 😩✋🏻 I’m v broke
you have to live there for one year for in state tuition
@@maliamamoa3083 whattttt i thought u can still go and applY while being out of state and going over there for college.
Can your roommate be the opposite gender?
Your surname means ‚straight hair‘ in german which is kinda ironic hihi 😊
feelsbadman
Can you choose your roommate if your living on campus?
yes! when u are applying for housing u can request a roommate. they have to request u as well in order to be roommates!
What are your interactions like with locals I’ve heard they’re not crazy about mainlanders
i’ve never had a bad interaction! i think that happens more on the west side so i just try to not go over there. as long as ur respectful u shouldn’t have any issues!
Do you guys have ac?I also would like to know your experience as a marine biologist. I am between marine biologist and nursing
we do not have ac so definitely get fans! both majors are definitely good options depending on what u want to do and u can always switch if u don’t like the one u picked. both options are also heavy workloads.
