Water is life bro - good to have your water kit sorted. ETA sounds the alarm but in fact is fantastic. I'll look out for that. Re - the Sawyer I've always used it on mult-day with no complaints. It's always at the top of my sack too. Nothing worse than routing around for your water gear when a source comes along. Thanks old mate. Great video. Mark
Great video mate. In my water kit I carry a Sawyer Mini, Iodine based purification tabs, a few dozen coffee filters, and have means of boiling. I've recently become certified in Wilderness Life Support and read in the studies that Chlorine based tablets offer a slightly higher degree of killing the nasties than Iodine. When possible, employ all 3/4 methods to gain potable water.
Fab video again Lee them sawyer bags can be nightmare to fill nice little tip if u haven't got much water around to fill it....also lovely spot u went to was up there few weeks back absolutely stunning scenery.... pity some muppets left a load of rubbish up there all in bags makes my blood boil
I used to swear by the Water To Go filter bottle. Filters everything except salt. Just couldn't quench your thirst with it cos it took ages to pass through the filter. Expensive dust gatherer now
If your just using purification tabs i always take some coffee machine filters and double or triple them up to help with the turbidity, you can get collapsible silicone funnels to help with pouring into small bottles also.
Just subscribed. You provide some really useful information 👍. I've got a UA-cam channel but only have 126 subscribers. I'm enjoying it though. Thanks keep up the good work 👏.
It's waste (fecal & urine - animal & human) that cause the most illnesses, as well as other natural contaminates (rotting carcasses). Unless you positively know that sick animals have drank from the trough, I'd use it... and use all 3 methods of purification - boiling, filter, tablets
@@outsidertank okay. I knew it wasn't a typical GB accent. Here in Texas we don't get many of y'all anyhow. I'll bet the rain gear is way more important to you guys. Ha!
Great watch Tank, very informative as always! Keep up the great work dude!
@@Bankside_Official thanks man cheers.

thank you simon, i shall return the favour thanks pal..
Would you use water from a horse/cow trough after filtering?
Why wouldn't you ?
Quite often see bugs and slim in it

@@robertbradfield4810 that's what the filters are for..
Yep you're right, think it's a mental thing as drummed in to me as a kid 'never drink from a trough' 🤷
Okay, where is this guy from? The accent is difficult to place. Good channel though.
