@@eventingjourney232 I remembered reading it in a cattle book years ago and also did a quick Google. They tie the cow to the donkey and the cow then has to follow the donkey. The donkey will also discipline them if they are naughty. Not all donkeys are suitable for this job but apparently a good donkey is really useful and saves the farmer a lot of work.
I know nothing about mules, but see them appearing more in videos of various disiplines. He a lovely looking chap. My horse had sarcoids which started on his chest then appeared high in the groin and on the girthline. Sadly he became unrideable after many trips to Lea Hurst in Liverpool. Looking forward to further episodes of mule school.
Hello again from Australia. Are mules called jack and jenny like donkeys? I see mules and donkeys, and even a hinny recently, being rescued from possible slaughter by Horseplus Humane Society in the US. (Caution: it is often tough seeing the equines that have been abandoned.) They had a problem with some donkeys seeming to be OK on arrival then going downhill very quickly with respiratory issues. I suggested they might like to contact The (UK)Donkey Sanctuary. Do mules also not show signs of illness until very sick indeed?
I don’t think they are- certainly In the UK we just say mare or gelding like horses. Horseplus do amazing work- the level of abuse and neglect is staggering, it’s hard to believe anyone could do that to a living thing 😢
Oh my lord he is so CUTE! Bless his wee lil worried face. Will look forward to learning more about mules and seeing Mumble's progress :)
Isn’t he the cutest?!
This is so interesting! I’m learning a lot about mules. Keep doing these mule school videos. I love them!❤❤😮
Glad you like them!
Donkeys get used to halter train show cattle. So that strength is useful.
I enjoyed the video.
Thank you. How interesting! I guess because they're not easily moved?!

@@kippen64 how cool!
Love the mules and their training 🇮🇪
Great to have you along for the journey!

Sarcoids can be such a pain. His is reducing in size so I'm hoping it will just self-resolve 🤞
Nova getting in on the act and nipping Mumble's bum!!! 😂 Hope it didn't put Mumble off being tacked up again!
He is such a spoilt brat, not wanting anyone else to get any attention!

That's so interesting, I never realised mules were so suspicious! They are all looking really well and they are so lucky to be at your school!
I think it’s why they have a reputation for being stubborn
Luckily Enya is proving very easy so far!

@@eventingjourney232 I've just suggested they watch your Mule School because one of their trainers, Kory, is leaving.
