These are my all-time favourite games. I play them once every few years, hopefully on a nice stormy night. It’s funny to see them speed-ran! Didn’t know you could do that with these. Thanks to the runner and the commentators!
What do you guys think of Heroine Quest, if you've played it? Didn't get far in it myself, but it's a free love letter to this type of game, right down to the class choice
Ha... it took me months as a kid to get through Quest for Glory I... Or Hero's Quest as it was called back then... and even then I only did it with the assistance of the hint book.
I don't ever try speed running, I just play through normally... but it was fun watching you all break them like this. Currently working on a playthrough of the series, but 3 keeps crashing out to a frustrating degree. Still love the games, though. One of my absolute favorite game series, just getting edged out by Baldur's Gate.
Ah man .. I know this is an old comment, I did the same thing ages ago before dosbox and scummvm were really well known, ended up putting together a very old pile of hardware to avoid bugs. Good times. I hope you enjoyed your playthrough

Playing Hero-U the successor for QFG right now! it's pretty cool, but not like the QFG series, especially QFG4! with all the bugs in shadows of darkness, i think i've purchased the game like 3+ times 😂. I had it originally on floppys then CD, then a download at some point?

VGA version of 2 has been around for YEARS. They actually got a limited license from Vivendi for it too.
