If you’re doing an intro timer that’s too short, you gotta just do a different seed. Those seeds exist cus there’s a finite amount of seeds in a linear order but humans can’t hit them really, robots and scripts can though (which is how they were even documented)
At 6:01 I don't understand how you get your values on Blisy's website. Where did your Flat MS number come from, and how did you get the Flowtimer MS Total value?
This is for people that want to do a puzzle, solve a riddle, etc. actually obtain the perfect/legal mons with effort. Pkhex is for either lazy people, people who don’t have time/aren’t interested in anything but the actual battling of Pokémon. But rng manips are a hobby and style of play too.
@@HazeyInsanity I didn’t see your comment as disrespectful, no worries. And yes you can get perfect IV shinies, although the process for them is much more involved than the basics of this video. With Pokémon’s hack checks getting much better, the PLHex users are going to need to either learn how to this stuff theirselves or get help from the RNG community to get TRULY perfect and truly legit Pokémon
I have been sweet scenting for a shiny pidgey for 2 days and i keep bouncing around either my seed or my frame. Granted i got a shiny rattata out of it, but that wasnt what im trying to hit. Am i doing something wrong?
@Nickadabra an more in depth detail as to what's happening, I'll eventually hit the seed but not the frame or I'll hit the frame and not the seed, and regardless of which one it is the second I recalibrate the flow timer I start to miss both entirely and have to play hopscotch again till the same thing happens.
Hello, your videos are fantastic. I’m running into a problem however trying this method with Voltorbs on route 10. The Gen assistance is telling me I’m hitting the correct frame but I keep encountering either the wrong Pokemon or a none shiny voltorb. I know my sid is correct because I was previously able to capture a shiny nidoran and start with a shiny charmander. I’m running on a copy of leaf green and the method is set to h-1. I’m wondering if it’s because the outer slot is really big for voltorb in particular. I’ve also been using the seeds from the excel sheet 1-100.
For doing the sweet scent do I absolutely change my stats to Stereo and L=A even though those aren't the settings I have when I got my SID? Alos in flowtimer convertor do I change method to "sweet scent (outdoors)"?
Hello! I managed the shiny starter eventually but it took a while. I’m having absolutely no luck with this one though, I can’t seem to hit the seed my shiny is on regardless of the back and forth calibration. Is it the case that some seeds are harder to hit and I’m best to move on to another one?
the starter is way harder than a sweet scented wild pokemon, and yeah dont go for seeds that are super close on timings for the start screen and then the sweet scent press
@@Nick_Kadabra Cheers. I ended up ditching the gba sp and used a ds lite and took a later seed. Don’t know if it is confirmation bias, but I feel it helped me cause I managed to get the sweet scent shiny
Hello Nick! I went to shiny hunt an adamant nature larvitar and I got it, but it turns out that there were 3 different shiny adamant larvitars in the 3 different methods exactly in the same seed and advance. I got the worst one... Is it possible to predict which one is the corresponding one to your TID and SID before hunting it? I was hunting for the one in method H-4 but I got the one in H-2.
its very minor things that change the H type.. and hitting H2 is not common to my knowledge. but in this situation i think that if they are all the exact same than there is 1 thats more "dominant" based on the area and other rng advances that can happen
Quick question for you, if you're still reading these comments. I'm sweet scenting for a shiny vulpix, but there is a different set of IVs between method H-1, H-2, and H-4. Each shiny is found on the same exact seed and Advance. I have already found 2 shinies from H-4, but i want the shiny from H-1. Am I just unlucky, or is it guaranteed to give me that H-4 shiny everytime?
No matter how big my channel gets or doesn’t get, I’ll always respond to comments. H-1 and H-2 shinies are unpredictable. Because it’s the hidden background RNG advancements that cause these to appear. So you can’t really reliably go for them if they are on the same frame and seed. If you want a good IV and nature spread, you should check out implementing Teachy TV RNG. It’s difficult, adds a third frame perfect input, but allows you to go for farther frames because when teachy TV is open, the frames move at 313x speed. This strategy is used to find 5IV good natured shinies pretty commonly, but again it’s difficult.
@@Nick_Kadabra Thanks! I understand for the most part. I really wasn’t looking for 5IVs, just wanted HP Ice on it😂 I appreciate you explaining it to me
Thanks so much for your RNG videos man. With your help I was able to RNG 'manip' a shiny Mewtwo in LG. I hadn't RNG'd since 2010 in Emerald, and at that time these FRLG games were thought of as impossible to RNG except on Emu. A lot has changed, but its still mind blowing to me to be able to do this in these games now. Pretty sure I'm done with Full ('Fool') Odds shiny hunts now (except gen2). Looking forward to more! 🥄
Yeah this is easily applied to static encounters so excellent job! I think the only weird static encounter is moltres you need to pause the game and wait with the pause menu up because there’s background noise.
@@Nick_Kadabra Thanks for the tip! Ended up getting a roaming shiny Entei last night in my Leafgreen too 😂 It was the same input seed/advancement as the Mewtwo so already calibrated. These games are so fun to RNG in
@@Nick_Kadabra Update: got my 1st sweet scent shiny!! Thanks again, your video guide here helped out so much!! (One tip I would add for anyone who may be browsing comments later on is that to find your target for the first time it can help in 'Gen 3 Seed Assistant' to add a gender + the gender ratio in the search options. It really helped narrow down some initial results.) Looking forward to more FRLG RNG Manip videos/guides 😁
i showed this video to my ex wife and she was ecstatic. she said "i have a restraining order why are you at my door". such a classic.
lol
Very well put together and easy to understand.
Great tutorial, well done !
Already got 5 shiny in one day, thanks !
Let’s goooo what have you gotten so far?
@@Nick_Kadabra I got Oddish, Pidgey, Jigglypuff, Nidoran ♂and Pikachu ! I also got Eevee lately, with the Method 1 :)
A wild shiny nickadabra appeared
Just a heads up @ 3:30. Synch does not work in FRLG, it only works in Emerald.
Dammit, well, thanks for the correction dog. Thought this was fully clean of error
Nice one bro 👏🏼✨ much love ✌🏼
shining bright
Love you bro

you cant confirm your sid with those shinies you found unless you remove all the EV's from them, that may be your problem sorry for delayed response
The amount of frames that are skipped after pressing A on sweet scent till the battle starts shouldn't be deducted from the target frame?
I mention this
@@Nick_Kadabra Didn't find it anywhere, but I guess the seed assistant already do it since you pick the exact frame generated by it?

yeah doesnt matter what settings were when you got the sid.. and yes if youre sweet scenting inside a cave or outside theres a dropdown for that
