That picnic grill table is awesome Bob! Building it on the ground and no workbench, with minimal tools. Thank you again for sharing your videos. I’m a retired military member with thirty years and have disabilities from the military. Watching your videos has giving me a incentive to make some wood projects. Buying tools little at a time and reading/watching videos will hopefully help me in the future in building things. Thank you for giving me a purpose, something to look forward to.
I love that marshmallows were the first food mentioned. 😁 This is such a "grate" idea! Each person can cook their hot dogs or whatever the way they want and no one is stuck managing the grill while everyone else is having fun elsewhere. I can see this being an awesome maker meet up centerpiece combined with your forge! Everyone forges their own pointy fork thing to flip over their food on the grill and then they can stick on marshmallows to roast for dessert!
This is awesome, if I were to build it I'd probably cut a hole in the centre for a parasol to go in. Knowing British weather it will usually chuck it down any time you decide to have a barbeque.
You truly are one of the best UA-camrs out there Bob!! I love all your videos because they are fun to watch and incredibly informative. Keep us the amazing work!
I like how your videos are taking on a "This Old House" sort of vibe. I mean that as a compliment. Its focused on the projects and how anyone can learn how to do them, but with several different experts teaching you along the way. You are definitely building something that can continue on long after you decide to call it quits. Thanks again for another great video! Can't wait for the next one.
I'm always envious of how much land you have. Huge basement shop and an outdoor barn ideal for a big car garage. So jealous. Nothing like that here in LA.
This is awesome, might salvage some parts from an old small grill I have and make a hexagon table like this! Also you were talking about maybe putting in screws to hold the grates in place? What about using a small triangle file to route grooves in the bricks so that the cross braces of the grates sit into the groove?
Thank you for this. I'll be showing this to my creative, woodworking husband. Hehe ♥ He's made some great things, but this one... I think he'd love to make a variation of this! Thanks!
For those out there with kids, and those that worry about fire spreading, it wouldn't take more than a couple of screws to add a fire extinguisher to the end leg cross brace.
I think even funnier is to have your (gullible) friend hold the parts as you "accidentally" trip the starter spark. What are friends for if you can't "entertain" them?? ;^)
I wanted to make a table like this for my parents when we cook out in the summer. But i wanted to make a folding table so we can put it away for the winter. I love this idea. Thank you and love your videos. Keep it up. :)
Awesome idea Bob, I know in the podcast you were talking about this table compare to Aprils and I still think you nailed it with this one! I may try building a modified version of this mixed with Aprils!
This is such a cool idea. I never thought to put a grill inside a table, but it looks cool, and gives you a surface to work on. Love the idea and this channel.
You could add some of those metal mesh grill mats to catch cooking grease and avoid having to clean the components as regularly. Simple build and great videography! Also really liked the music on this one.
@@JoshMakesStuff not concerned about heat just the handling of pressure treated wood, nothing about it should come in contact with food or be ingested. Hands should be washed after touching the tabletop. It's great for the leg supports but a naturally rot resistant wood for the bench and table surface would be safer
@@Iliketomakestuff Those ceramic deck screws are great but they don't have much sheer strength. You shouldn't use them for the table and bench leg supports for the same reason they aren't recommended for deck joists (even if you use joist hangers). Leg supports for a picnic table really need carriage bolts. You're going to find after a year or two that the table is wobbly, starting to come apart, and feel unsafe.
I'm going to build something similar for my mom's birthday except our family prefers charcoal so I have some plans to use a charcoal grill! Thanks Bob!
Great project! Would also be nice to see an idea for a drip tray to catch the inevitable oil and food particles, since the bricks will probably get stained (or could you just burn them off the bricks with a propane torch?)
It would be cool to make a cover out of plywood that rotate about the end of the table with a little kickstand. That way you would have an extra space for plates, utensils, condiments, buns etc.
9:21 The sound effect from "Bob from the Future here" excellently played.
Back to the future is awesome
So cool!! When is your restaurant called "We Like to Cook Stuff" opening up?
waiting for supurrvisor approval.
It’s actually “I like to bake stuff”! Aka ILTBS
haha

This is awesome, hope you do it!
I really enjoy Josh being more prevalent in these videos
The integrated grills are an awesome idea. Might build something similar next spring.
As always great video, thank you guys👍
You're welcome, I hope to see what you come up with!

I'm really happy that everyone could cook their own food whiles enjoying each other's company.
@@IliketomakestuffStuff as some Korean bbq restaurants have.
The "Back to the Future" intermission was savage XD thank you for showing once again your lovely nerd attitude toward improving your knowledge :D
That's definitely an original idea Bob. Thumbs up!
Woah...you bought a farm? Nice, it means more build videos. I like that, keep them coming. 👌
That's a great addition to a picnic table.
So your video's always help me sleep. Not that they are boring or so, Just very calming.
Keep up the good work💪♥️
“You could marshmallows or you could cook food”
I agree. Marshmallows are not food but they’re still delicious 🙂
Loved the way your kid is watching as you grill... 10:47 Great idea, Have fun.

Bob: needs help carrying a bench
Josh: effortlessly carries bench over a shoulder
he is just doing some crossfit while at work
I'm an old man.
Hey Bob, great video like always. It's also great to see your family enjoying the project table grill you and Josh built. Fantastic.
A lovely feeling of family arises from this video - you've made more than a table there!
that's really cool... cant wait for more farm builds
Still the best diy channel on youtube 👷

Bob from the Future 😄😄😄👍🏻
VERY VERY VERY CREATIVE AND SMART
I'm always envious of how much land you have. Huge basement shop and an outdoor barn ideal for a big car garage. So jealous. Nothing like that here in LA.
That dado with the sliding miter saw was genius. I never would've thought of that!
That was super cool! Nice one Bob
I’m liking the handheld camera shots in this
This is one hell of a table idea and a well made how to video 👏🏽🤯👏🏽🤯👏🏽👏🏽
The look on your son's face as you're grilling was worth the time and effort it took you to make this video!
Great tip making a dado with the miter saw....Very neat and unique design for a picnic table!
Thanks, Josh taught us that one.
You knocked out of the park!
Nice work, looks awesome, and so you know.. We like bloopers
Me too 😄
Love the table! Looks like it’s a real crowd pleaser!
Bloopers for the win, love them
Awesome design!
Love the "Bob from the future" segment. Please do that more

That would absolutely work. The grates didn't move around at all, but if the start to, we can do this.
Awesome as always. Good to know about the bricks 🧱 too.
love the BTTF sound bite!
Super awesome idea!
Man, you nailed the angles on those legs. I love the look of the benches too.
A side caddy for cooking utensils would be a nice addition!
Wonderful great job
Love the build and the Back to the Future sound effects were great!!
The project was awesome but I have to admit, I found myself admiring some of the camera work even more. Nice work!
It’s like outside Korean BBQ! Love it

very very cool idea
best table ever
This is super cool dude! Love the idea of changing up that centre section for different purposes. Can’t wait to see you kit out that workshop space!
That's KOREAN BBQ style! LOVE IT! Cheers! C.
U guys have managed to make an amazingly useful table/grill combo while simultaneously perfecting time travel 🤔🤔 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👌
Finally, you made something I though of many years back... It turns out so cool, I have a make one myself! Great job to Josh and you :)
Nice BttF reference. I use that for my text tone.
Gave me the idea of making my own Korean BBQ table grill for my backyard. Thanks for the video
Just when I thought you'd built all the cool stuff there is to build.... Such an awesome project!!
Thank you!
Korean BBQ picnic table, yes please!
Really cool Bob, awesome project, you and Josh did a great job! 😃👍🏻👍🏻👊🏻👊🏻
Thanks!

Great idea and job on that table
10:23 - one brother holds another brother in place so the big sister can ravage him with a kick ball. Brutality!
had to put 0.25 speed to see this. this is gold
LMAO
So glad it got caught on slow mode camera
Flawless Victory!
THANK. YOU. 🤣🤣🤣
I got shocked by that ignitor a comedic number of times. FIRST!
Same, my friend... Same

Cool project. You'll find out which kid is the fire bug. There's always one in a group that wants to play with the fire. 🙂 Enjoy the table
Love it. It's dream table. Note: Future Bob is fantastic with back to the time music.
Great project! I saw a similar one that had a butane camp stove built in, so a good concept. "Bob From the Future" needs to be a more frequent thing

Having all that space to assemble looks sweet!
Nice project,
Love the videos.

God I love using those screws, they're so nice and easy to work with
Awesome. Im making one for my wife bcuz shes the grill queen. Im just the food taster.🤙🏼
Nothing better than the taste of pressure treated wood and hot dogs!
This may be added here for laughs, but you don't taste or smell or feel any residual heat in those boards.

Actually, I've been planning a similar table for a while now. The underside support was a concern - but now I know how! Thanks!!

What a fantastic project! It's also wonderful to see Ginny & the kids pop up. I hope you're all doing well. =D
Love this idea! Great build 👍🏻
Thank you!
This is an awesome idea.
Nice Back To The Future moment there Bob & Josh! Great video as always. Keep creating & making! :>
Thanks! @forby put that gem in there.
That is really awesome. I love making stuff to
Love this project. May make a set for my parents and in laws.
I think I may totally do this but plant basil and thyme in the grill spot. Nice smelly stuff. Great job!

Thank you for watching!
Well made video and awesome table. Glad I found this channel. Well done!!
I need to do something like that to my patio what is front of sauna at summer cabin. Watching lake, grill some meat and relax.

This is awesome, if i made one i might add a small hole n can beneath the table to catch the drippings. This looks so cool, great job man!
