I’m impressed with how in depth the research into the history of the channel went here - to my knowledge, you got it all bang on! If I can offer any thoughts on the growth my channel has seen, I think I’d remind folks that success can be measured in many ways, with views and subscriber count being only one metric. It’s important to do what makes you happy with your art, especially if it’s about niche topics like Rock Raiders or Time Cruisers! 😊
a recent addition here, i love the way your videos are put together. it shines a light on all the sets i never got to experience, since i was just a tiny bit too old. having mostly expanded my lego collection from 89-99. i just recently got drawn into lego again, and your videos got recomended to me with great success.

There is something tho that nobody is mentioning, since you revisit these retro themes, the only way for people to get the sets from that specific theme these days is through sights like bricklink, and since LEGO owns bricklink, in a way you are improving LEGO's green cabage income!

i found you because i was a estranged fan of trikbrix after his disappearance and you have become for me the continuation of his style content, especially with the adventurers series,and also your review of niche lego topics, and you deserve all of your success.
It's saying a lot that Lego hasn't even been on my radar for YEARS, and yet Slugger's content immediately captivated me. And I'm not even a big fan of Adventurers, Rock Raiders or Time Cruisers. Just great content overall.
That right there is the sign of a terrific content creator. Even though you may not be passionate about the subject of each video, the quality of content draws you in each and every time.
Another thing that helped Slugger's channel is Solar Sands' video on him. Solar Sands is an extremely big UA-camr who uploaded a video about Slugger on his second channel, after which his fans flooded to Slugger and resulted in a big rise in subs.
Absolutely! Both Solar Sands and Big Yellow gave me some massive shout outs within a week of each other! 😮
Few months ago I searched up something about Rock Raiders on youtube since my older brothers used to own it and I had great memories of it, one of Sluggers videos was recommended and I was instantly hooked. He single handedly revived my interest in LEGO and when he started doing the Adventurers I was overwhelmed with joy. I really haven't seen such quality and work put into youtube videos.

I love R.R Slugger! His videos are just nice to play in the background because of the nice and chill editing style. His stop motion skills are also great!

The amount of quality he puts out with his seemingly strict self-imposed standards (which are definitely a positive for the videos individually and as a collection) is nothing short of impressive. Even outside my interest in Lego, it's a cool channel to watch just for how it all comes together as an art form.

I was there before 200 subs! It's been great to watch Slugger's channel grow and him get the success he deserves, even if it intimidates him. All his videos are super high quality (even the goofy ones) and he covers a bunch of history that is super interesting. I love learning the ins and outs of those older Lego themes that people rarely talk about anymore.

I love RR Slugger so much, we share so many opinions and focuses on LEGO he is like a kindred spirit to me. I was looking up Rock Raiders stuff on a lark and found him, I’m extremely glad I did. I will boost him as long as he makes videos, I will over share in comments and watch the videos over and over and over again, he’s the best.

I love this... I started following Slugger since his spike after the color video came out about neon orange and my mind was blown. He is a very unique breed of content creator which I hope to see more of in the future. Thank you for making a video that shines a light on content creators who can redefine "content" as a whole. We need more like Slugger and I hope I myself can have an idea that is as beautiful as his.
