This is just what i needed to see! I got nervous seeing expensive soecialty drift puches or whatever in another video.
Thank you!
Hi will this Pins fit my zf 6 speed from a zhp ?
Does anyone know where I can find same video but about 6 speed gearbox??????????????????!
okay... so i just did this and followed the fcp euro video... when they do the first detent you did, they said to face the ramp on the pin downward, when you pulled yours out it was facing upward, this is the reason why my transmission wont shift after i followed their video
Holy crap this is terrifying
The fcp video is correct, if you rewatch it they just start on the reverse detent while this video starts on the 5th gear detent.
What was the tool you used to pull the pin? Does the inside surface of pin have an edge to grab?
I used the handle side of russian pliers to pull the pin out using some leverage as you can see on the video…and no, it doesn’t have an edge to grab.
Saludos!
Does this helps with the bang when you put in gear?
I believe it has nothing to do with it.
El casquilo pudiste meterlo en el congelador, seguro que era más facil meterlo
Estuvo en el congelador un rato, pero entra bastante justo...
Hello, I am preparing myself to do the job soon but I am wondering if the plain bearing can be pushed too deep without the special tool.
It was actually a question haha. Can you tell me if I could accidentally push the pin too far or is there any dent inside the gearbox that prevents it? (Thank you for the video by the way)
Yes, as you can see on the video, I made it without using any special tool!
@Ugaux Before removing the sleeve (the one I destroyed) you can measure the distance between it and the edge of the hole, so when reinstalling the new one you put it at the correct position. Afer it, the pin (be sure don’t installed it upside down), just insert it with the finger, flushed with the sleeve. The gearbox works great today, no issues.
Sorry my english, thanks for your comment!
Thank you !
