The monsters in the towns give you hints if you talk to them 4+ times without leaving the room (Link is bothering them until they give him advice to get him to let them be). The sleeping slime tells you Bagu is north of the river, and the bat tells you there’s a heart over the ocean to the east of Nabooru
Obviously the purple slime is someone's pet curled up on his human's bed napping. Ditto for the monster hanging from the roof later This was actually the first Zelda game I played and the first Video game I rented. I like it a lot and wish they would make more Zelda games like this and a remake that makes this a little less painful. Have all enemies grant exp, do away with the some enemies reduce your exp when they damage you effect, and make game overs in dungeons restart you at the dungeon entrance like most Zelda games. edit: 30:08 You decided Wisdom was a more heroic trait then Courage. Good for you!
This was my first Zelda game I played. Once you learn how to cheese Iron Knuckles with jump slashes it really breaks the game open and the difficulty a lot more manageable. (Along with a little grinding for attack level ups)
Just found your channel and binged the whole thing in a few days. I live for this kind of content and I really hope you’re able to keep this up.

16:48 Imagine a Zelda 1 type game with that extended map! Could be fun, could also be terrible.

@25:05 one of the people in New Kasuto hints at this, telling you to call for help at Three Eye Rock
This has always been a favorite of mine. It is also the first Zelda game I ever played or beat.

And this right after a new ZZT game that ends with "GAME OVER - RETURN OF HERMAN"
Get well soon
