Nah... just met the required conditions .
I work in a buffet restaurant and there is nothing wrong with them, eat all they want but just don't waste the food. I would rather have them eating up all the food rather than having an empty buffet restaurant and throwing all the food the next day.
The concern is that they stay more than they should and post it into social media
You’re assuming the buffet were to be empty on the flip side, it said restaurant staff was too busy to even pay attention, I doubt they were anywhere close to empty
Then they should pay double as 23usd per 2hrs. Since they stay for 4hrs then restaurant can ask them to pay 46usd per person .
I worked in buffet, we threw loads of stuff out every night.
I totally agree, if they eat everything and eat within the time limit, that’s perfectly ok. They went overtime and that’s the restaurant’s fault on not enforcing it. It is like going to a casino and win millions, casino has to pay out if he or she won fair and square.
At least they didn't waste anything and actually ate lol. I'm sure the staff especially the cooks appreciated that. And as a dishwasher I like the fact that they cleared the plates and bowls, that really helps honestly lol.
Lies again? Draft Kings Cold Storage
staying additional 2 hours was dishonest.

I'm pretty sure the restaurant got a huge loss from this. This is how you actually get full advantage of a buffet. Not picking a cheap meal then can't eat anymore after 1 plate. Avoid getting noodles and rice at buffet those are distraction to make you full.
this is a one off situation. Restaurants dont have customers like them everyday..

@@sokratesowly2256 how do you know?

@@sokratesowly2256 😂 you must be get your source from western propaganda media
I think it's nobody is really at fault there, they ate all of what they ordered, they paid for it...but the issue of the 2 hour time limit not being brought up by the staff even before the client's took their first bite is their own undoing. I hope they get paid properly for their overtime cleaning up all of those residuals.
I hope they don't get sick from over eating.
That's the problem when you don't enforce a time limit on the buffet sitting. Many restaurants have a 1.5 - 2.0 hour limit on consumption.
The video said about time limit and how long they stayed

Owners need to honour it and maybe be more attentive in their imposed time limit. As for the customers, they really done a great feast
I think they were wrong for not leaving after two hours. Since they stayed double time they should have to double pay!
Double pay still means the restaurant is not getting the money back 😂
the staff didnt tell them that there was a time limit. they didnt know and they werent even reminded when their time was over. its on the restaurant, not them
Imagine you we're the one eating and you exceeded your time by 1 minute and the staff didn't inform you and went ahead and charge you double the price. Would you pay for it?
@@AaronLaikz of coz there is a grace period given.. But 4hours?? That is not a fair comparison to 1 min
But honestly speaking, the buffet price and the varieties in there is freaking cheap... Therefore it is reasonable to pay double..
if there is time limitation for the customers, then the restaurant should have a system to remind the customers, not just ask the customers abide to requirement by themselves.
Haha the crab shells were so perfectly placed on the table
They ate it all, no waste. But they did break the 2 hours rule. And the way they took and ate immediately what's cooked, can be inconvenience for others who dine too, tho technically it's first come first serve at these buffets, but he was basically gatekeeping there.
So in all, if you ignore the past 2 hours time limit, they are just shamelessly greedy.
I want all to realize that in the post itself, they stated that they were not forcefully eating excessively but just have huge appetites relative to their peers
@@erisphobios8250 May not excessive for them, but they past the time limit and still forcing their way to eat. No conscience for rule, their stomach win over it, greedy. No conscience for other diners too, shameless. If all diners like that, it will just become another incident where Chinese shamelessly fighting for food. Ruining Chinese people image. Just eating half of those portion is enough for their stomach. Appetite is not equal to stomach size.
I wonder how much their food expense if they ate like that daily, so much that they always took advantage of all you can eat. It said in the video they choose buffet whenever they meet and eat together. Meaning they don't want to pay for enormous bill going to normal restaurant and eat like that.
@@sgsairl1706 maybe they did fasting for days, only a spoon of rice n 2 glass of water for a day, prepared themselves for that day so they could eat all of those

The staffs were so busy and only notice them untill the restaurant closed. If not closed, they will probably keep going slowly for more. i feel like the staffs probably got in troubles for that despite working very busy that night
@@SivaSiva-oc3jf If anything, it's probably the employer's fault for being understaffed, so no issue there
Completely fine as long as they are not wasting food and not disturbing other diners/causing a ruckus. Judging by the video, they seem very civil and it's not a crime to be big eaters. As far as the time limit goes, it's definitely the restaurant's fault for not enforcing it. They could've always double charged the customers if they feel wronged.
I feel bad for the one worker who kept serving the customer that left and came back immediately to eat more in not even 2 seconds
Just how is it possible for durians to be made available at a buffet restaurant. Aside from its smell, durian is very expensive in China.
kind of hypocritical to do stuff, film it, publish online and say "don't do the same".
1 year old reply but the message of "don't do the same" is certainly warranted.
China has too large of demographic & posting online = engaging with BRAINLESS kids.
Let me settle this once and for all. “All you can eat” is a business strategy that comes with risk. The restaurant owner knows it, they didn’t enforce the rule, that’s their issue. If things were so straightforward, I’m sure more restaurants are even more keen to operate as all you can eat.
No.
The only problem is the staff not kicking them out after 2 hours.
They did nothing wrong. They played the system to it's fullest. How is "taking advantage" of an ALL YOU CAN EAT bufet wrong? They ate all the food, its not like they wasted it. Yes they stayed over time limit, but they were not asked to leave and it's possible they were not aware of the time limit. That being said, there was no limit on how much food you can eat.
It said 2 hours maximum and they stay till 4 hours. Regardless the staff didnt notice bout time consuming but as a customer its necessary to hv such an empathy to leave the restaurant, instead having more meal "more time" than they should. Its clearly mentioned in the video.
@@asianbites I know its mentioned in the video because I mentioned it in my comment... Did you even read the second half of my comment?
It's not possible they are not aware of the time limit as it state on the video that "they always go for buffet" that means they know the rules but ignoring it. and the time limit was 2 hours and they exceed it for like 4 hours? Clearly it was false action from the beginning.
@@naez9768 "they always go for buffet" doesn't mean they always go to that specific one. Also they stayed for 4 hours, they didnt exceed the limit by 4 hours.
@@naez9768 it is said that they stayed until the restaurant closed in the video, but the staffs don't know they were overtime which doesn't make sense. actually, there is no time limitation in the buffet restaurants in China usually.
No wonder Chinese fishermen go to other countries' exclusive economic zones to fish everything.
Well I can appreciate the fact they did not waste any food like what we've seen with other "Chinese tourist" videos and they are at the buffet, the objective is to eat or beat it and they seem to have beaten it and I can respect that.
In Homers own words "BUT THE RESTAURANT IS ALL YOU CAN EAT... ALL YOU CAN EAT! YOU LIED TO ME!"
I’m sure the restaurant totally lost their profit for the whole day. Maybe even the month.
That’s why the time limit must be priority #1 to enforce.
It had a timer of 2 hours so they ate for 4 hours. This problem should be solved if the diners paid the amount twice.
