    ~RECOMMENDED STYLING PRODUCTS~
    Redken Iron Shape 11 - When using a heat styling tool we always recommend prepping the hair first with a heat styling spray. This will protect the hair from heat damage and give the hair a little extra hold.
    Redken Fashion Work 12 - When creating waves it's important that you are able to comb through the hair. Fashion Work 12 provides the hold you need while allowing you to comb through the hair with minimal effort.

    When will the curling irons/wands be for sale? Will you do any kind of giveaway? And do they have different temperature settings? My hair will absolutely not hold a curl if the curling wand gets too hot.

    • @samvillahair
      @samvillahair  7 років тому +3

      Hi Maddi! Click the link in the description or video and it will take you to the curling iron page! The iron has three temperature settings: Low, Color Treated and High. Press the power button once for low, twice for color treated and three times for high. You'll love the new iron - our team has been using them for close to two years now and we are obsessed!

    • @samvillahair
      @samvillahair  7 років тому +3

      One other thing. Cooling is a major factor when it comes to curls staying in your hair. We recommend curling and then pinning the hair in place while you curl the rest of your hair. This will give your hair time to cool before coming out. This should allow your curls to set and last longer throughout the day.

    • @Maddyline1998
      @Maddyline1998 7 років тому

      Sam Villa Hair Tutorials Thanks for the reply. I usually curl my hair at night and set them in pin curls while I sleep. In the morning I take them out, spray them with the Redken 28 Control Addict hairspray, and it lasts for about 3-4 hours like that.

    • @samvillahair
      @samvillahair  7 років тому +8

      Have you tried to add some texture with our Textur Iron before curling? I've had success with that when curls won't hold. Look up "scrimping" on our channel.

    • @samvillahair
      @samvillahair  5 років тому

      our irons have 3 heat setting 375 for finer hair, 392 for medium and color treated hair (anything higher than 392, you start to risk damaging the color molecules), 410 is our highest setting and we believe that irons shouldn't really go above that temp

    I'm really not a fan of that crimped hair. I personally don't find the texture to be visually-appealing. Why not just use a product that texturizes the hair to build volume? Or just backbrush more?

    • @samvillahair
      @samvillahair  7 років тому

      It's really a personal preference. I find that using the Textur Iron before curling helps the curls last longer. If you don't like the visual appearance you can always texturize at the base and then add some light compressions randomly throughout the hair. Also, as you stated you can always use product and/or backbrush as well.
