Hey Ruksana.. I hope you are well. I binged watched your videos today and I had come across a video about your wedding. I am in the similar position as you were, my request to you from a girl to girl, would you please please make a video about the stuff you took to get married from here, what you would of done differently, tips and tricks. I am going to be getting married soon but I have no mother or older siblings. Help meee lool❤ bala thakio go shuna and bhaire salam deeyo x
Hey, I am well thank you! Hope you are too. Aww sis, it was really stressful but I had a brilliant husband who had sorted out sooo many weddings before so it was no different for us. I took my wedding and walima dresses, I took my wedding shoes and my walima jewellery, I took my own makeup and hair extensions and acrylic for my nails lol and my wedding bouquet. For my husband, I took 2 suites and his wedding sherwani and I also took both our wedding rings. I took his walima tie and my brothers' ties for the wedding. Everything else was bought in desh. My husband had our invites made, bought my mehendi dress (struggled to find something I liked here), had his mehendi panjabi, had my mehendi and wedding jewellery custom made over in desh (I drew him the design I wanted. I did look high and low here but they were so expensive and not exactly what I wanted), he bought the girls sarees and boys scarves for the mehendi (very cheap options), he had all the girls and boys outfits for the wedding custom made, again cuz we couldn't find what I wanted so I just told him what I wanted. He had his head dress, scarf and necklace made for the wedding. He sourced an English speaking make-up artist for me who also did my hair for all 3 days and helped with my scarf. He sourced a photographer/videographer for us (we only had one company, one video, not brides side and grooms side), these guys also did all three of our stages. He chose our venues and chefs. Tbh, the only things I regret is my walima make-up and I wish I had a separate hair stylist for all 3 days cuz none of them turned out the way I wanted. I wish I had professional mehendi artsit. I wish, the photographers did a better job with my husband's clips, I wish the wedding didn't run late (it was my fault) and because of that wish the wedding venue was booked for both day and night slots and I do regret choosing purple for the boys and girls lol. I wish hubby remembered to wear his scarf and necklace on the wedding day. These are all minor things though tbf and overall it was an absolutely amazing experience. I am so glad we did it in Bangladesh so both families could attend and it was much cheaper than a big wedding would have been here.
Thank you very much for the information and the effort that you spent for bringing together all these video series for us. I have only one question regarding to the extension application that you applied for your husband. When did you apply for the extension visa? Was it 28 days before the end of the visa end date or was it earlier? I will be applying very soon for my wife and her visa ends on 27th September 2021. What could you recommend for the application date? Thank you very much again 👍👍👍
Hi, the earliest you should apply is 28 days before the current visa expires and the latest is the day before it expires. We applied somewhere in the middle as it was also towards the end of the month and I wanted to get my wage slip and bank statement for that last month before we submitted it.
Hi just subscribed to your channel… May I ask what the process in bringing your spouse and child to the uk if one spouse is in Amry… does the same process apply for them ? Or would they have to go to the head of army based to apply ? Can they do their application online by them self?
Aww thank you so much for subscribing but I am not sure I can help you. It really depends on if the child was born to one British parent or not. If one parent is British then they are British themselves and should be able to apply for a British passport and won't need to be applied for, only the spouse would need to be applied for with £18,600 income. If the child has no British parents then they will need to be applied for and the financial requirements will be different. It increases to an additional £3,800 for the first child and £2,400 for any other children.
@@neavenseven7813 No worries, might take a couple of weeks though. There are a couple of other videos I would like to upload before then and I am really struggling at the moment.
Hi Ruksana thanks for this new series just in time for ours! Hope you’re all well and congratulations to your new addition ان شاء الله to your little family I remember seeing in one of your videos about how UKVI wanted you to have scanned your passports. Do I scan every page or just the ID page ? Thanks in advance !
Aww no problem, glad it's all out in time ready for when you apply 😊. Thank you so much...not long now before baby will be here! Yeah, you need to scan every page which we did but we took a pic of each individual page but you need to take it like a book and take pages 1&2 together, 3&4 together, etc.
Hi. Fr spouse visa extension, do I need to give copies of mortgage statement, property inspection report, etc fr the accommodation? . Also wud I be able to get all documents scanned at the bio appointment instead of uploading them myself? How many photographs wud I need to give together and can they be selfies? What wud I need to write in the sponsor cover letter ? Wud the applicant need one too and wud you mind sharing yours with us? Thanks
Hi, yes I would provide a mortgage statement as proof of accommodation. An inspection report is only necessary if there are others also living in the house other than the 2 of you. You can have your documents scanned at the biometric appointment, you’ll just need to book and pay for the one that has the scanning services. You don’t need to provide any photographs actually for the extension visa. This visa is more about proving that you have been living together. I do provide help with a cover letter on my website ruksana-Ahmed.com. Thanks
I am applying for Spouse visa to and i just wanted to ask about appendix 2 form that do i have to delete the extra pages of form please can you reply to me as soon as possible thank you sister 😊
Hi Ruksana, really helpful videos thank you. I had a quick question regarding my partner working for my father. My wife isn't related to my family but is working in my father's business. Also, I work elsewhere and my earnings alone meet the financial requirements. Does this mean we'd need to provide extra documents as she's working in a family run business? Thank you so much for making these videos!
Hi, if you earn enough with your income alone then just provide your income for the financial requirements section. Do not include your wife's income. If you do decide to add your wife's income then I think you will need to provide additional documents. She is family now that you are married.
Heya hope you are well , congratulations on your visa acceptance just wanted to know which documents did your husband take along to the biometric appointment and did he have to have them scanned there or did you just have to upload them online onto the application.
Hi, thank you so much! We took all the documents in to the appointment even though we scanned them beforehand. They did not scan them there because we had done it online.
Hi, what sorts of evidence did you provided for where they ask about evidence to support my claim it would be difficult for me to establish a private life outside the uk
Hi, it really depends on the reasons you gave. I kept my reasons private as I didn’t want everyone just to copy what I wrote. So please think how you can evidence the reasons you gave.
Hi ruksana,I recently came across your channel and I’ve been binge watching your videos that’s how helpful and great they are. However I just wanted some advice. Me and my husband had my nikkah done here September 2020 in the Uk however my partner has some issues with his visa in the past so we had to spend him back to Pakistan. As he is a Pakistani citizen. I have now started working but curious to know do we have to go back Pakistan and get my nikkah done again and then the 6 months payslips and all will start or does it start from when I started working my job. If you could reply it would mean the world to me. Thank you, love you and your videos xx
Hey! The partner must always return to their home country if they are applying for a spouse visa anyway (unless they are on a fiance visa). You mentioned you did a Nikkah in the UK, did you register the wedding at all or was it just the religious ceremony? A Nikkah on it's own in the UK is not recognised as a marriage, only if the marriage is registered will it be accepted. So you will have to go to Pakistan and have a Nikkah there, they should register it in Pakistan as it is a legal document there. Once you have done that, you can apply for him as a spouse. You need to have been working in your job for 6 months to be able to provide 6 months of wage slips but say you were there for 8 months by the time you were ready to apply, you would not show the first 2 months, you would only show the 6 months before the application.
Hi, thanx for your video series, very helpful indeed. I would like to ask you what sort of documents to provide for other reason to stay in UK section and difficulties establishing a life outside UK? We have a 2 years boy, he is British so he is not included as an applicant, but in parental responsibilities section I am comfused how to complete it. Are we both have parental responsibilities or the sponsor or the applicant? I know your case is different, but do you have any idea ? I have filled it for applicant and sponsor lol, not sure what to do. We didnt submit yet. Thank you again, salam
Hi, glad you're finding the videos helpful. The reason I left out the reasons on my video was because I didn't want people to just copy my answer and UKVI get the same answer from all applications done using my videos. You really have to think about why you both want to live in the UK, what the UK has to offer that your partner's country doesn't. I didn't really provide any specific documents for the reasons, I thought some of the documents I was using for other things, could also be used for the reasons we used. I would have done the same with the child, put them under both sponsor and applicant because you both share that responsibility. Best of luck! Wasalam
Hi Ruks, thank you so much for your help and sharing your experiences! I have a question, I’m the sponsor for my husband and I own my own business (limited company) and the sole owner of this business However for the financial requirement I want to use cash savings (Same as I did for spouse visa) Do I still need to submit my business documents?
Hi, thanks you for watching. If you are using ash savings then I don't think you ned to provide the documents for your business. You can just mention that that is where your income/savings comes from but I can't say for sure so you might want to double check this.
The exam is valid for 2 years so you can take it quite early on. I always suggest about 3 months before at the latest because if you fail for any reason, there is still time to resit 😊
My patner is in the uk as student for 1 month. Now I would go to UK as dependent. Kindly please confirm me that I should submit Rental aggreement or bank letter/statement for address proof of my partner, while applying for my dependent visa ?
Hi, I am sorry but I don't know much about other visas, just the spouse but I can imagine they would want to see that you have a place to live whilst you are here so it is always good for you to provide documents like a rental agreement, bills, bank statements and other correspondence. The more evidence you can provide, the better it is for your application.
Hi mam pls let me know how is the dependent visa renewal process as am going to 2 1/2 year in coming 2023 . I just want to know homeoffice will contact me or I need to contact them ? Thank you
Hi, this is the application form for the extension visa: visas-immigration.service.gov.uk/product/family-routes. I have videos on my channel showing how I filled it out for my husbands application so you can follow those. I also help people with their application through ruksana-ahmed.com
I am sure I mentioned it in my Education Documents Video ua-cam.com/video/RN1VkwStuyY/v-deo.html. The requirement for the visa extension is A2 but you can take the B1 if you are confident and the B1 can also be used for the ILR which saves times and money.
You need to provide 6 letters (in joint names) or 12 (if they are in separate names, 6 of yours and 6 of your partners) that cover the last 2 years. I made a video on "residence documents" where I mention this a little and also go through it in my "upload documents"
Ielts A1 speaking and listening test. Make sure you are doing the one for immigration. It is just a pass of a fail (not a score like the one that’s not for immigration)
My husband dealt with all that. I’m not sure how much it was. I only know that the A2/B1 that they take for the extension is £150 just for the exam itself. You should ask them directly, I’m sure it’ll be different in different places/different colleges
I would only notify them if you are waiting for your results. You can still upload documents ont he UKVCAS website even though the application has been submitted. I would also call the number on that website (they do charge) and they will be able to help.
Hi ,Ruksana , i have a question for you,, since well almost a year since covid 19 pandemi around the world and UK !!! since than any rules changed for spouse visa is there anything gets easier or worst???espacially financial documents ?? gov.still asking for £18600 even covid 19 effects everyones lives?
Hi, unfortunately the government is still asking for an income of £18,600. Those who are on furlough and receiving 80% of their wage will have 20% added back on during the calculations to see what they would have earned had there not been a pandemic. Anyone who has lost their job due to the pandemic will be able to show income from 6 months prior to losing their job as their finances but I don't know how long they will expect you to be without any work, you would need to look into that, because they may just expect you to look for any other job available such as working in a supermarket or hospital as there are plenty of jobs available in those industries at the moment.
Hi, just wondering what evidence can we give to support “my claim that it would be difficult for me to establish a private life outside the UK”? Thanks!
Hiya, I didn't really provide any specific evidence tbh (even though I ticked to say I would). There isn't really a section that says "upload evidence of..." when you do come round to uploading documents. I went down the route of me (wife) being a British-born female ie. different culture and I hoped that my birth certificate could be considered evidence of that.
Firstly, worry not. Many get this and my belief is this is what the Home Office does simply to meet its own targets of 'dealing' with the applications in 60-90 days. We got this message as did ALL the people we were sharing experiences with. The annoying thing is you will not be told what the issue(s) is/are. All you can do is wait but if your papers were in order, you will be fine. There are decent chances of delay now though, all of us getting the message back in 2018 had to wait 6 months at least to get a decision. Hey, you may not have to wait so long and may only be delayed days but be prepared and try to keep cool. Once 6 months have passed from the application date, your MP can get involved and chase the HO on your behalf. Nothing you can do but wait (don't waste money calling as this is all they will say)
Hi Laraib, Eddie is absolutely right in what he has said. Sometimes when the home office are taking longer to respond than the expected timeframe, they usually send a letter saying that the application is not straight forward, even though it might be. It just means that they probably haven't had the chance to look at your file yet and the letter allows them more time. Many people who get this letter go on to have successful applications. Please wait a further 3 months before contacting them and like Eddie said, you can then also look to get your local MP involved to right them a letter. Hope it doesn't come to that though and you hear back from them sooner than that!
Can u plz tell me if u got email and what words did they use that you were grant the visa can u tell us and read ur email if it is the same or not plzzz
We had an email from FLRM Decisions and there was an attachment of a letter which had our decision. The letter was titled "Grant of Leave to Remain 5 Year Route" and it said they were writing to to inform him that he has been granted a period of 30 months limited leave to remain...
Please watch the supporting documents videos from 2018. They are all the documents that you need. Your husbands income cannot be used towards the financial requirements as he is not in the U.K. so it is only your income that will count
No, you don't have to be there. I wanted to be there because he had never been to the UK before so would not have a clue, plus I hadn't seen him for so long.
Salam Can you please guide me on this. I have watched your videos like you used your income to meet the financial requirements for the visa and while uploading your documents you mentioned them as Sponsor documents I want to use my income to fulfill financial requirement so which title should i use for my documents upload .. Applicant documents or Sponsor Documents? Secondly for my wife documents should i use Partner Documents?
I don't understand what you mean. I am the sponsor and the financial documents provided to meet the income threshold were mine. My husband is the one who needs the visa and so he is the applicant
Hey! When you gather all your documents for the application. Will all the documents be submitted online with pdf etc?? Also where do we submit all these documents for the application xx Hope to hear from you soon :) xx
Hiya! Yes all documents are submitted on the UKVCAS website (there’s a link in the description box). As mentioned in the video, the documents can be uploaded as pdf, jpeg or png
Hi appi! I already applied application for my extension since 8 months now but I have not got my new card. Do you know how long will take home office and when I can get my card
Aww Api, we are in the same position as yourself. There is a link on the letter they sent when the visa was granted. You can reorder the BRP card using that link. There is also a free phone number on there, I would suggest you speak to them first seen as it has been 8 months for you.
Dear Ruksana, Can I apply visa extension after 30 months living in UK or it should be 28 days before finishing 33 months ? I finished my first 30 months but my BRP expire after 33 months. Thank you so much for your help.
Yeah, the first visa is for 33 months. I would wait until 28 days before the expiry to be on the safe side. The extra 3 months is for any time spent outside the UK so that when it comes to ILR, you aren't missing any time from the 5 years you need to have lived in the UK, hope that makes sense.
Hi Ruksana hope you are doing well :-) last year my husband applied for the spouse visa, it's one year now since the application and we did not get any update on our application. Do you know how to get to them as I've tried contacting UKVI but they keep saying they are not able to give me any update. please if you have any advice it would really help...
Hi, I am doing well, hope you are too despite all of this! I am really really sorry to hear you are going through it!! I cannot believe it is taking them so long. You have done the right thing to contact them. I would suggest you get in touch with your local MP also, sometimes they will write a letter to the home office on your behalf. I am not sure what else to suggest other than that. Just keep pestering them. Use the number in my description box, also use the UKVCAS link, there is number on there. I don't know if it is different but it is worth a try (both numbers do charge but I think it is worth it if this is resolved).
Hi ruksana For my Mrs for visa application I took all documents to the vfs centre in London & they scan it for me . Can we do it in vaporise visa extension ?
Sorry, what do you mean by vaporise visa extension? If you don't want to scan the documents at hime, you can pay extra for the scanning service when you book your biometric appointment and they will scan the documents for you on the day of the appointment
Just take it to the appointment with you and they will scan it there. But like I said. You need to book the appointment that includes scanning service as the fee will be included when you make the payment when booking
HI Ruksana, Please can you let me know if you have submitted your Renewal application for your husband and if you have received any updates from the Home Office? My Wife is due to renew her Visa and can you confirm if it matters if my wife completes her's A2 English or B1 English exam? How early can you get this exam ? Can my wife travel internationally / abroad if she has Less than 3 months on the UK BRP? even though she will be returning back to UK. Let's say few week abroad? Can my wife travel after submitting the renewal UK BRP application? Or do we have to wait till the outcome of the renewal has been received to us?
Hi! Yes, we submitted our application at the end of last year and have a video on the result coming up today. She can complete either the A2 or B1. The A2 is the minimum requirement and the B1 is a higher level which she can later use towards her ILR. Doing the B1 now can save you time and money in the future but it really does depend on how confident she is. The certificate has a 2 year expiry on it so she can probably do it any time now. My husband did his about 3 months before the application just so that we would have enough time to resit had he failed (which he did lol and in our case it meant that we did not save any time or money lol). I;m not 100% sure on the travelling thing. I know for ILR, they don't want you to have travelled in the year prior to application but I don't think the same rules apply for FLR, I think this one is for a solicitor tbh. She should wait until she receives her new BRP card before she travels. That is her proof of residency in the UK and they ask to see it at the airport. Without it, they might be funny about letting her back in.
Hii, my partner and i live with my parents. Do we need to provide an environmental health report? If so, where do we get that from please? Also, if im on furlough but my annual salary still meets the financial requirement eventhough my pay monthly varies, is that ok?
Hi, this was covered in the video, if anyone else other than you and your partner live at the address then you need to provide and environmental health video. Please also watch my "employment documents" video regarding furlough. All information is available in my videos. Varying monthly income is acceptable as long as you are paid hourly. If it is a salary then they will multiply your lowest month of earnings by 12 to get your annual income.
Hi ,, could you please let me know that can I do extension applications on my own without any solicitor help ??? With the help of your videos Please reply .
Hi Ruksana , Thank you so much for your help my FLR(M) has been GRANTED . !! Hope to join you on the journey when applying for ILR! 🙏🏿

Wasalam
@@RuksanaAhmed thank you, very much appreciated
No problem 😊
Hi Ruks, thank you so much for your help and sharing your experiences!
I have a question,
I’m the sponsor for my husband and I own my own business (limited company) and the sole owner of this business
However for the financial requirement I want to use cash savings (Same as I did for spouse visa)
Do I still need to submit my business documents?
Hi, thanks you for watching. If you are using ash savings then I don't think you ned to provide the documents for your business. You can just mention that that is where your income/savings comes from but I can't say for sure so you might want to double check this.
Hi ruksana. I have a question regarding the a2 exam….how many months before can I book the a2 exam???
You didn't mention any English requirements for extension or did I missed? Is it a1 enough? Or do we need A2 ?
I am sure I mentioned it in my Education Documents Video ua-cam.com/video/RN1VkwStuyY/v-deo.html. The requirement for the visa extension is A2 but you can take the B1 if you are confident and the B1 can also be used for the ILR which saves times and money.
Hi i will apply my extention visa nxt month..i just want to ask about the cohabitation proof what documents did u provided thanks
You need to provide 6 letters (in joint names) or 12 (if they are in separate names, 6 of yours and 6 of your partners) that cover the last 2 years. I made a video on "residence documents" where I mention this a little and also go through it in my "upload documents"
Do you really need to scan tgem black and white ?? I already scanned them in coloures ?
No, I did all mine in colour as well.
Hi ruks how much does the exam take when you come to this country.
You mean how much does it cost for the IELTS A1? I’m not sure because my husband paid for it
@@RuksanaAhmed whats the first exam called is it ielts a12
Ielts A1 speaking and listening test. Make sure you are doing the one for immigration. It is just a pass of a fail (not a score like the one that’s not for immigration)
@@RuksanaAhmed ok how much is it to enrol to the course
My husband dealt with all that. I’m not sure how much it was. I only know that the A2/B1 that they take for the extension is £150 just for the exam itself. You should ask them directly, I’m sure it’ll be different in different places/different colleges
Hi Rukshana :) my husband is on a spouse visa and we have moved address. Do I need to notify the home office? And how can I do this?
@@RuksanaAhmed thank you for the information)
Hi, just wondering what evidence can we give to support “my claim that it would be difficult for me to establish a private life outside the UK”? Thanks!
Hiya, I didn't really provide any specific evidence tbh (even though I ticked to say I would). There isn't really a section that says "upload evidence of..." when you do come round to uploading documents. I went down the route of me (wife) being a British-born female ie. different culture and I hoped that my birth certificate could be considered evidence of that.
Hi dear.. What happens when you get an email from home office that processing of your application is not straight forward? Anyone had this experience
Hi I want to know which documents do I need for my husband visa he is in Pakistan and he works and he has cash in hand ...
Please watch the supporting documents videos from 2018. They are all the documents that you need. Your husbands income cannot be used towards the financial requirements as he is not in the U.K. so it is only your income that will count
Hi, I wanted to ask do I need to be at the airport to receive my husband if he is coming for the first time?
No, you don't have to be there. I wanted to be there because he had never been to the UK before so would not have a clue, plus I hadn't seen him for so long.
Salam
Can you please guide me on this.
I have watched your videos like you used your income to meet the financial requirements for the visa and while uploading your documents you mentioned them as Sponsor documents
I want to use my income to fulfill financial requirement so which title should i use for my documents upload .. Applicant documents or Sponsor Documents?
Secondly for my wife documents should i use Partner Documents?
I don't understand what you mean. I am the sponsor and the financial documents provided to meet the income threshold were mine. My husband is the one who needs the visa and so he is the applicant
Im trying to say
Im the applicant and im using my income to meet the financial requirement
Do i still need a sponsor ?
Oh right sorry. If your income meets the financial requirement then you don’t need to include your wife’s income
Hey! When you gather all your documents for the application. Will all the documents be submitted online with pdf etc?? Also where do we submit all these documents for the application xx
Hope to hear from you soon :) xx

@@RuksanaAhmed Thank you Ruksana, your channel is very informative, appreciated.
Hi Ruksana hope you are doing well :-)
last year my husband applied for the spouse visa, it's one year now since the application and we did not get any update on our application.

Hi ruksana
For my Mrs for visa application I took all documents to the vfs centre in London & they scan it for me .
Can we do it in vaporise visa extension ?
Sorry, what do you mean by vaporise visa extension? If you don't want to scan the documents at hime, you can pay extra for the scanning service when you book your biometric appointment and they will scan the documents for you on the day of the appointment
@@RuksanaAhmed sorry tape it wrong at VAPORISE . I mean if we don,t scan at home where can we take ?
No
Hi, this was covered in the video, if anyone else other than you and your partner live at the address then you need to provide and environmental health video. Please also watch my "employment documents" video regarding furlough. All information is available in my videos. Varying monthly income is acceptable as long as you are paid hourly. If it is a salary then they will multiply your lowest month of earnings by 12 to get your annual income.
@@RuksanaAhmed thanks for the clarification. If its a council house, i guess i ask them to produce an environmental health report?
👍
Thanks! ☺️

If your situation is similar to ours then you should be able to. I did the application myself with no solicitor and no video.
