The choker attachment is so smart! I'd been trying to figure out how not have backpack straps too so this is perfect!

im doing a human bowser, came up with a original design,
Just do this but no crown, red wig, maybe also less leather to avoid stripper aesthetic. OR genderbend bowsette and literally do this exact outfit but as a boy and go with the slutty aesthetic like Bowsette does
I love the idea of using the choker to hold up the shell
Wow that is badass and the choker attachment is just brillant.
If anyone is looking to do this now, I have a suggestion if you are struggling with the cling wrap like I did. I made my pattern again using GLAD Stick N Seal instead and it was much easier. It didnt move around, was easier to cut, and i was able to peel back my tape and reposition if needed without ripping the stick n seal. Also! It helped with tracing since it is slightly sticky, I was able to just stick my patterns to the foam and trace them without worrying about them moving. Mind you i may be the only person with these problems because ive never done this and im not artistic lol
I have a ton of issues with cling wrap myself actually! So I am very HAPPY to come across this message. Even if it is a year old, I am happy to have found this. Thank you for this. I might even share this information with other people in case others have this problem as well. I always felt like I was the only one with this issue! I'm glad to know it's not just me. This will be so helpful for my Lapras cosplay. I've been struggling with how to make the spikes for the shell.
You look great as Bowsette, I was looking at "Odin Makes: Blue Shell from Mario Kart" for inspiration on how to do a shell. I'll likely use a mix of both yours and Odin's Tutorials to make my own.
Also having a Blue Mario Kart Shell will be a nice prop for this cosplay.

Are you able to put up the pattern for the shell? I would be more than happy to pay for it
I believe she said once you have the styro bowl and you put the plastic wrap and duck tape over the top, you draw out the pattern yourself, making the markings yourself, once cut out then you connect the pieces. I had to watch the tutorial 3 times over to fully understand how to do this.

The way you made it was perfect but i tried mak8ng one under 50 dollar budget and just the 1 centimeter thick iva foam is 30 dollars

Is there a reason you glued and then painted instead of the other way around? It seems like it would save a lot of work, but maybe it doesn't stick as well if there's a layer of paint?

How much foam clay did you use for this? I have one 300g container of it and it doesn't look like enough.
When I saw this video in my recommendations, I laid my phone on the table, rubbed my face with my hands and had to rethink my existence.
But of course, your costume still turned out super great and it's cool how much effort you put into it! No matter how silly I think this new internet trend is, the work you put into it should not be disregarded. 👍

Based solely on the measurements of her cutting mat, I would guesstimate that you're looking for an 18 inch diameter Styrofoam ball, give or take.

You can make the same pattern with anything big and round! A big mixing bowl, a beach ball, you can even make a smaller version of it on a small ball, then cut it out, scan it into your pc and enlarge it to be bigger! :3

I'm using a large round mixing bowl. I padded the flat part with some paper towels and tissues to make it round.

No not at all! :3 EVA foam is one of the cheaper materials you can get!
