Your determination to make a card even though you didnt like a little part of it and how you did it has made me make a new resolution ..... to dig among my discards , cut them apart, take out pieces i dont like etc etc. And finally produce a work of art worth keeping. Thankyou for keeping on with this video and i love what it looks like at the end.
Thanks so much Michelle, I did think of scrapping it and remaking a video but I thought I would show what I actually do IRL rather than a polished performance 🤣🤣🤣
It's refreshing to see more accomplished crafters mess up sometimes because you teach us tricks to rescue things and not despair. The finishing effect was very different to your die cut cards but still very stylish.x
You picked a most appropriate sentiment stamp for this card! You did indeed push through the dirt and bathed in the sunlight! (I actually knew you would pull a rabbit out of your hat because your creativity knows no bounds.) I always enjoy watching you play and this was no exception. Thank you! 🩷🩷🩷
In the end you had a gorgeous card. Again patience and perseverance paid off. Sometimes I look at a card and think it is not what I wanted but if I look at it a little later it seems to have improved immensely. We are our worst critics. Thank you for sharing all of it.
No mistake, just a learning curve to what turned out to be a very beautiful card. Your patience and determination is admirable and shows us all that we shouldn't give up either because there could be something beautiful at the end. Thank you for another great video Christine and hope you are feeling a little better. Hugs and have a lovely day x
Oh my Bless Your Heart. I was watching your video while crocheting and looked up to read the text, warning us not to shout at the screen. I chuckled right out loud. You are a treasure. It is totally something I would do. Lol. Thank you so much for sharing! I always enjoy and learn from your videos.
Nice save in the end! Those stamps are gorgeous, so much detail. I love the "screen" looking one. That one is a cool texture. The flowers are amazing, especially that peony you used. Nope, we don't know until we try...then we learn. I think this is going to make a gorgeous, rich looking card. Hugs, Brenda
Dear Christine, I am so happy not to be the only one thinking about not wasting things. A dear friend of mine always rolled with her eyes and said:" Oh Uli,throw away the leftovers, they are garbage." I prefer to cut out the gold instead of wasting it. Thanks for the video. Have a nice Sunday. 😊
A great 'save' - I think it is going to be a stunning card. Beautiful stamps too and love what you have done with the peony - look forward to seeing what you do with the others. It was pleasure to pass on the extra stamp - I have received many kindnesses from fellow crafters myself - so it made me happy to be able to pay it on , thanks as always Christine for the videos - such a pleasure to watch . Jennie x
Thanks Jennie! That little grass stamp has gone onto a block, into a drawer in my desk carousel, where hopefully it won’t get lost! Thank you so much once more!❤️❤️❤️
I think cut down like that it looks great Chrissie, and the pink Luscious powders are very pretty, and the different gold filler stamps around that gorgeous peony work really well, and fiinished beautifully placed on the gold card Chrissie and so eye catching on the black card. x
Good save! I have a theory that the whole trend of positioning sentiments across the middle of cards (of which I'm not a fan) stems from lightbulb moments when desperately covering up a goof :) It did turn out to be a stunning card thanks to your ingenuity. Thank you as always :)
You are wonderful, I would have tossed it when I stamped upside down! Thanks for leaving all that in as it’s a relief to see other people goof up too.❤️
What a stunning image and I love what you’ve done with it. Gorgeous. Thank you for showing us how you overcome unforeseen problems. It’s interesting to see how others cope when things don’t go according to plan. Thank you for yet another amazing video. - Dawn 🌅
That floral paper pad is indeed gorgeous BUT I know myself and I would look at it and never want to cut it up. I did see they had a lovely wood frame that they put one of the pages behind. Nothing ventured, nothing gained when wondering whether something in cardmaking will work. Sometimes you stumble on something fabulous. Other times, you just stumble. ☺It is nice to know you can mix luscious powder with embossing powder although I think I'd use clear to keep the color truer. The card came out quite nice nevertheless. Who would ever know you chopped off something you didn't like? Thanks for making my morning. Oh, yes, I do the same with mats. Who wants to waste perfectly good cardstock. It's expensive (unless it's cheap).
I can relate...my son did his PhD at the famous Mayo clinic in cell biology and research can take 10 years to get a result, but the research is there for future generations
how clever you are rescuing that, it would of bern in the bin long before you rescued it, in my craft room. l actually though the writing upside doen and ip the right way at the top looked like a design idea. l think l woukd of trued to colour the leaves in a dark green to maje it a feature then put it in the bin 😂 l just kept thinking it looked like a cabbage so pleased you didnt colour it green. 😂 looking forward to the next one. 🎉
Maybe clear embossing powder mixed with the mica powder would have created more of a “glaze” and allowed the black to come through and the leaves to recede into the background a bit more?
… or you could have tried mixing the same mica with some water and creating a wash going from bottom right, over the leaves but not the flower, then away from the flower to the top left, to create a bit of a mica wash in the background that would tone in with the leaves and hide them a bit??? Not sure …
… I think you could have included the entire flower petals in the crop and that little bit of green in the bottom corner wouldn’t have mattered anyway … of course, it could have looked quite different in real life to what I see on the screen, too …
Seems like you have been doing a lot of thinking, lots of ideas, that's great, but I wasn't keen on the actual leaf stamp against the flower, so I think it had to go in this instance. I could have cut the video and done that bit differently, or re-started, but decided to leave it in and see if I could rescue what was already done. I was happy with the end result.

Lovely 😍 , if I make a happy accident I put the sentiment over it 😊
Another great solution 😀

Many thanks 🖤💛🖤
I love the card and the papers x
Thanks 💛🖤💛
Worthwhile play session, Chris. Card is pretty, and I learned a lot about layout and stamping. That's so much! From Cheryl in AZ
My pleasure, I’m glad I got a half decent card out of the session in the end!😀😀😀
You are wonderful, I would have tossed it when I stamped upside down! Thanks for leaving all that in as it’s a relief to see other people goof up too.❤️
It's a frequent occurrence for me!🤣🤣🤣

It's always worth having a go to try to sort things when they don't quite turn out as one would hope!😊
I agree! I often just toss whatever in the bin but you keep on...good job!
Some of those papers you showed at the beginning of the video could be framed!!! They are lovely.
They are all part of the Peacock series, links in the description!

Clever people !
Love the fearless, let's just try it...
Thanks 😊
Love your perseverance. Looked great in the end. I probably would have chucked it lol.
Well it happens to us all doesn’t it, so I thought I’d try a rescue!😀
I liked the green!! Really like the rectangley stampy whatsit to!
💛🖤💛
Well saved Chris, what a very pretty card it turned out to be,many thanks for a lovely demo 😁
Glad you enjoyed it💛🖤💛

sorry for the texting, this new phone seems to have a mind of its own
Many thanks 🖤💛🖤
You could always line up the leaf stamp again and re emboss in gold.
Lining up a red rubber stamp on an acrylic block is a recipe for disaster!😊
Love the card. The papers at the beginning I would frame some of them. Thank you
They are gorgeous aren’t they !
So very beautiful!! I did the same thing with the masking paper the first time I used it 🤣
I'm glad I'm not the only one!🤣🤣🤣
Floral pad looks really nice but £5. postage does put me off. Finished card is stunning.
Oh thank you!, Don't forget that you can get 20% off from IndigoBlu with the code CHRISUA-cam
