Best of South Carolina: Old Sheldon Church Ruin

First known as the Prince William’s Paris Church that was completed in 1753. The British burned down the church during the Revolutionary War. Nearly 100 years later General Sherman burned it down a second time near the end of the Civil War. The ruins are about 17 miles north of Beaufort, South Carolina.
