Hey, welcome to my neck of the woods Tank! (I'm from Montreal) Beyond Creation has been one of the latest band out of Quebec to gain worldwide recognition, after legendary acts such as Voivod, Gorguts, Cryptopsy, Kataklysm, Quo Vadis, Neuraxis and others paved the way. I know I am coming here late af. Long story short, answering your question: I have seen them live several times. Live performance is as MASTER as recording (no playbacks or tracks going on in the background). Beyond Creation is THAT impressive.
Absolutely love this band. They had one of the cleanest live performances I’ve ever seen from a metal band. Guitars and bass didn’t miss a note and the vocals were surprisingly clear. 10/10 recommend. I’m a pit guy, and I just watched in aw their whole set.
That was a pretty neat track, great musicians, fabulous finger work. Never heard of them either. Thanks for the reaction. Fleshgod Apocalypse - Sugar A neat track..
The I have a big recommendation for you. It’s a band from Lebanon called The Room. They managed to hire Mike Mills (Toehider, Ayreon), Arjen Anthony Lucassen (Ayreon), a whole symphonic orchestra and some other well known musicians for their album Ostura.

Kinda torn on this one. I have never been one to sit through a whole song with growling and/or vocal fry, but the incredible skill & talent of each one of these musicians with their respective instruments was mind blowing.
Musical talent is exactly how I got into death metal. I couldn't stand the vocals at first but Trivium (the Ascendancy album, circa 2005 - when I was a 13 year old guitarist and drummer) are what got me into metal and, subsequently, technical death metal.

I messaged the guitarist a few times and would like to think I played a part in them coming to New Orleans for the first time about 10 years ago. Seen em 3 times and they’re always great
For another group of talented musicians you must watch - Eluveitie - Inis Mona, live at Rockpalast 2019 or the official video. Hurdy-gurdy in a melodic death folk metal band anyone?
@@TankTheTech Awesome! Eluveitie needs more love! Some other good folk metal I'll recommend then, let try Mongolian: "Ego Fall - Wind the Horn" or "Tengger Cavalry - War Horse" (2012 album version) Tengger Cavalry worked on the game soundtracks for Civilization IV and Doom Eternal. Sadly the front man of the band died last year, tragic because the band is go amazing! Worthy of some coverage.
This made me question everything I’ve ever heard before. This was a mind blowing experience. They didn’t even have to put lyrics in it.It was like a space exploration.🤯🤘🏼
If you dont know these bands already, check out Revocation, Disentomb, Wormed, Equipoise, Defeated Sanity, Gorguts, Fallujah, Allegaeon (check out their acoustic stuff by guitarist Gregg, really beautiful).
This an amazing reaction, probably most of the metal fans had this type of reaction when they discovered Beyond Creation. On the other note, you should definitely check out anything from Obscura. But for begining the best picks would be Akroasis, Emergent Evolution or Septuagint. And when you do a reaction video, then listne to the whole discography, chronologically, because the 'main' four albums are conceptual, and form a bigger picture(in order: Cosmogenesis, Omnivium, Akroasis, Diluvium). You'll enjoy them as much as Beyond Creation, trust me!
First time for me too, again haha!! Thanks Tank. About the song and the band, even i love growl this time was the only thing didn't fit 100% for me. Anyway i'll check more stuff of them. Thanks again for yor content, bro.
These guys are the absolute CEOs of making super complex songwriting and over the top Extreme Metal technique feel relaxing, even on their faster, heavier tracks. Also: Please react to Unprocessed - Abandoned.
I've been playing bass for 27 years and Dominic Forrest LaPointe makes me look like I just picked up the instrument yesterday. FYI the gentleman in this video is Hugo Doyon-Karout an awesome musician, but Dominic is on another level.
Saw them live, they played the whole new (2018) algorithm album... they can do it no problem. Also, most of their videos are cut together live appearances (of course not the audio) they always record when touring. Maybe more songs by them? "Theatrical Delirium" is amazing. But really there is not a bad one (aside from Omnipresent Perception IMO). Also, it is a fretless bass (frets are just drawn on for orientation).
I like your reactions! "Me: You cannot make a metal song about bees.. Amorphis: Hold my beer......" So... next reaction for you. Amorphis - The Bee (official lyric) ;) Only Amorphis can make a metal song about bees, their song are usually based on Finnish mythology and the Finnish national Epic Kalevala.
Really cool mucisianship. Crisp and clear. The only thing that could be better is dynamics/contrast. I feel it's mostly sitting on the same chord progression from start to finish.
@@TankTheTech I caught some of the set before heading out early to miss the rush of people. Was a group decision to head out early or else I would have stayed till the end. Was a solid performance by Faith No More that night.
@@TankTheTech Devin Townsend, Alexisonfire, Gojira and Slipknot were the highlights for me that weekend. Probably my favorite lineup for the festival ever.
Try some Moonsorrow, for example songs like Suden tunti or Pakanajuhla. They are black/folk metalband from Finland and their lyrics are from viking and scandic history.
I wouldn't say Viking. Finland isn't really part of Scandinavia, and Finnish paganism is its own thing, separate from Norse myth. But yeah, Moonsorrow are fantastic.
Fun fact, previous bassist, Dominic Lapointe is a beast, you see him in any band and you know the bass will be the best part of the song.

Tengger Cavalry worked on the game soundtracks for Civilization IV and Doom Eternal. Sadly the front man of the band died last year, tragic because the band is go amazing! Worthy of some coverage.
@@TankTheTech Beyond Creation is most definitely a truckload to take in all real time HAHA, I myself was so excited the first time for me years ago.
I said the exact same thing about the blast beat like wtf that was the most random time to start blasting but it was perfect at the same time lol
Got the chance to see these guys about a year ago and my god the sound is EXACTLY the same if not better
Also you should definitely check out Brought By Pain (specifically the session video of Crafted by Society). Simply incredible musicians
season of mist is becoming one of my favorite labels... so much good stuff lately.
Math metal that didn't get boring 1/2 through. I loved it!
indeed it didn't, it was boring from the get-go! :V
Cannot believe how dry a tone they're using. Not sure I'd throw this on a playlist, but I can certainly fucking admire what they're doing.
Beyond Creation's creations are beyond creation.
You liked that? So how about Obscura and Archspire?
Well, ok Archspire I can hear in the background Oo
Love Archspire but nothing familiar with Obscura.
@@TankTheTech Obscura - "Diluvium" or "mortifications of a vulgar sun". "Akroasis" is not their best song but technical as f***.
I watched these guys live back in 18, they are just as good live. Ended up with a black knee after the moshpit, it was worth it
I've been playing bass for 27 years and Dominic Forrest LaPointe makes me look like I just picked up the instrument yesterday. FYI the gentleman in this video is Hugo Doyon-Karout an awesome musician, but Dominic is on another level.
And yes they can do all of it live. Saw them on a business trip to Minneapolis.
It's great how Tank's shocked looks through the vid resembling a deer in the headlights.😲😳
That’s how I felt, too.
Amorphis: Hold my beer......"
So... next reaction for you. Amorphis - The Bee (official lyric) ;) Only Amorphis can make a metal song about bees,
their song are usually based on Finnish mythology and the Finnish national Epic Kalevala.
Really cool mucisianship. Crisp and clear. The only thing that could be better is dynamics/contrast. I feel it's mostly sitting on the same chord progression from start to finish.
I have seen them live over a dozen times and they're as good as in the videos. Its ridiculous.
5:19 I just love how casual the blast beats are here.
What I don’t get is why that actually works there…
Seen them at Heavy MTL in 2015 when they switched bassists. They are just a tight live even with a new bassist.
WHAT?! I was at Heavy MTL in 2015 as well! Was working for Faith No More.
It's the infamous Weird Guitar Band!
after this you should watch Septicflesh - The Vampire from Nazareth (official live video) 2020
its really good :)
Sooo good!!
Coexistence
Here is the best "live version" they have put out. And favorit band ever 🤘💯🖤
Them and Archspire best bands to see live imo
I just saw this song live (front row) recently and let me tell you something: IT PACKS TOO MUCH PUNCH!!! it has too much mojo!!!
