Here's a suggestion for testing other kit: put out a request on this channel (and other media) for a specific riser or set of limbs you'd like to review. If someone has one you can try, they can send it to you for review, perhaps in exchange for a signed copy of your books. That way, you get to review an interesting piece of kit and generate new content for your channel, at minimal cost.
I love mine! Got it the first week of January. Have it set up with uukha limbs and it's a dream
On buying, testing, then selling as used try adding your signature as bonus may sell for more then.
I like how you switch to metric but still say "twelve hundred" grams or 22 and 3/4 cm, it just makes me miss the US :)
Is it just me or does these new win&win bows have their grip slightly altered than previous versions? Because they look a lot more like a Hoyt high wrist grip with a flatter surface than the old win&win grip which has a more rounded shape and a slight hump...
Yes
Thank Jak sir...Giving for information of ATF X....
Awesome review! Could you please help with explaining string alignment. Much love from Kenya!
Im pretty sure kuki could help you with that😂
I am compound shooter but I still learn some things that translate to compound and I can teach also other people that shoot recurve
I shoot with a Inno RX and love it! Wish I could afford the ATF-X!
The inno rx?.. Haven't seen that riser in years.. One of the first full carbon risers win&win produced..
I was quite disappointed when I spotted the "made in china" (unlike the ATF and my NS limbs) sticker on mine. Besides that, I'm super happy with mine.
That's funny my ATF has a "made in China" sticker in the limb pocket but then again still superb quality though...
I understand that for some reason W&W produce limbs in Korea but risers in China. Not necessarily a deal breaker if they enforce strict quality control but appreciate it can be disappointing for some...
@@raphaelna2981 the quality control is off, have a look at my latest video..
Dennis i am in the same position, on my third riser from them, looks like the whole batch sent to Europe never went through any QC. Really appreciate the video you made mate and would be interested in your limb pockets or CAD / soft works file. Hope W&W can give us confidence in using their products. Thanks again mate from another tradesman.
Do you have any used risers and limbs yet ? If so can you add a link ? Can you show in a up coming video how you are strings and unstringing the bow ?
2 month with mine
Very happy
Hi Jake, regardless of the price factor, which one of Radical Pro and ATF X do you recommend? Thanks for your reply !
I want ATF X handle mannuval how get that please send me link
Hey Jake, check the play in your limb pockets. I do have found out that there's lots of play in mine which is potentially the reason why I could not get a proper shooting setup (the riser feels great but is always super inaccurate compared to my ooooold aerotec). If you're time allows, have a look at the video I've just uploaded where I show the issue. (I don't know if it's possible to share links here.)
I'll check, pretty much all bows have play, but its doesn't move when its strung based on the tension built up in the system. The limb pockets dont unload when released, however vibration can cause it to shift if its too loose.
Well, it takes an average of 3-4 arrows to get mine drastically out of line
Have a look at the discussion at AT (link un the description of my video). Around page 4 I show why it‘s fairly impossible for the limbs to stay in line, just because everything is under tension.
@@JakeKaminskiArchery They have major QC issues waiting for my third riser to turn up after no bow for 3 months. Please do a video on this major problem.
Great review. Is there a difference in performance or quality between the 2021 ATF-X (two-tone color) and 2020 ATF-X?
No difference.
From an engineering point of view: Why the fashion for as light as possible when you want to max stability and rigidity?
surely an extra 500g of material would make life a lot easier but not affect the archer holding the bow that much. Most of the time you'd add it anyway with stabiliser weights etc.
Think the idea is to take weight from centre then you can put more on stabilizers. Spreading the weight can make you more stable
How much your height and draw
@Jake Kaminski hi Jake. Would you say the atf-x is a worthy upgrade over the TFT?(also using the NS foam limbs) Been considering this for a little while now and would love your feedback. Thanks.
I would say 100% but I am biased and really love aluminum risers. However the atf-x was REALLY nice as well.
@@JakeKaminskiArchery Thanks for the reply! I've enjoyed the tft but really wasn't sure on the carbon feel myself, I think I've just got used to it. I really wanted the original atf but it was just discontinued when I first heard of it so I couldn't get hold of one and why I bought the tft. I really do appreciate your feedback so thank you!!
I'd like you to do a review on the Gray AIX
With dampening bridge
I'd like to as well.
Have both ATF -X and the TFT-G.. both are awesome with different feels. Quality risers that I think everyone will enjoy shooting. Works great with my Zest/Nsg/ukha limbs. Very curious to try other brands like hoyt. Maybe you can give some input in the future about hoyt or another brand would be very interesting. Cheers.👌
Price please..
I really like how you analyze every single thing in everything you hold haha
Is it a good riser for barebow also ? What do you think man ?
I think any riser can be good for barebow. However even without stabilizers, I can get away with not wearing an armguard on this riser.
@@JakeKaminskiArchery waw thats cool man, now i get to think between atfx and xceed
Hallo, what is better Aluminium or Carbon?
I have a video for that! ua-cam.com/video/dsxerMGbxZI/v-deo.html
@@JakeKaminskiArchery I am deaf, I come from Germany. and can't hear and subtitle is english. when converting english into german i understand like train station.
W & W limb pockets are rubbish don't listen to these sponsors ask an engineer, disgusting quality, no QC, made in China and marked up. Hate this marketing crap.
First Ive heard that ever. Never have had an issue with the risers I have put my Hands on. (not just my personal ones, I have set up dozens of people's W&W risers and have seen zero issues)
@@JakeKaminskiArchery Must just be a bad batch sent to Europe then Jake. Just got an email back off W&W they know there is a major problem with the machining of the riser pockets. Drehbank1103 is a cnc operator that has posted the problem in these comments. Thank you for replying hope you can contact W&W and make a video of what went wrong, as many of us watch sponsored UA-camrs and spend our hard earned cash on the products they promote.
Considering the riser I just ordered to review, I may dispel your "sponsored" term. I am not sponsored, they supplied a riser and I was happy to give my honest opinion.
However W&W has addressed a previous issue and is working on correcting issues to anyone who contacts them and take care of the issue. This is also publicly discussed in many places. Just an FYI.
Thanks for the support and hope to show you I am not sponsored. However I do have "family" and I still am taken care of and never have forgotten who helped me through my career. This does not mean I would be hiding any bit of information from anyone.
@@JakeKaminskiArchery Thanks mate. i appreciate what your saying, to go without a bow for 3 months in lockdown for the sake of non existent QC, from a brand that i thought was manufactured in Korea but is not really bugs me. I had to sell the 2 bows i had to afford this bow an feel that they should have had a recall as the problem was known to them. Sorry if my comment offended you it was not aimed at you directly Jake i think your channel is very good for archers and archery in general.
As customers, some times our only outlet is social media when we need to get our voices heard and save someone else from the same bad experience. All the best from South Wales.
Hey Jake, I have some minor damage on a W&W carbon riser. It was a clean chip, small area; it doesn't need to look beautiful or anything. Do you think they would re-dip the small corner of my riser? Maybe a video on what you do with damaged gear? :)
Yes we know you are usually sponsored with free merch, but I think the general public would be interested in any ideas you have. I know people make pens out of broken arrow shafts.
Nail polish. Comes in heaps of colours and I have had friends successfully match their riser colour for filling in small chips in the paint.
what about atf-x vs mate pls tell me 🥹
