- FYI We are not liberals and Trump was not blamed for this couple's situation. The preacher merely told everyone that it doesn't matter who you are, rich or poor or even the Prez of the USA, all will be judged by God and Hell is the final destination for ANYONE who doesn't repent and follow Christ. We don't get involved in politics whatsoever. This was just a message that went along with he time it was filmed when everyone was claiming that Trump was a Christian. The fact is if you compare him to Hillary, he looks pretty good. But if you actually examine his fruits in light of scripture, you will see that he has no fruit that meets with repentance. God bless.
I'm not at all a religious person, but I appreciate what you did for these people. Takes almost no effort to show kindness and love to others. This was very special.

My great grandfather who I was named after died in the coal mines here in McDowell county. My heart goes out to the people here living in poverty that no one really talks about or tries to help them. Thank you for helping them.

My grandfather died in the same county and in the coal mine...he was crushed by falling boulders. My father was only 9 at the time!

We are buying a motorhome. We are going to take food and clothes...maybe toys for the kids. I' m an old man but I want to help these folks. I will feel privileged to be able to help a little.
I came from a coal mining family in KY. My family left when I was a child and applied their work ethics in other states after a couple of years everyone was successful buying homes and cars. Leave you don’t have to live like this. Most of these folks are very hard working..They just need a chance.

Yet we see all these "ministries" blowing a horn ahead of them and videotaping every gift and kindness they do ON CAMERA to earn the praise of onlookers and line their own pockets with money. All pretty much the opposite of what Jesus said to do.
Also, dont use this poor community to promote YOUR political agenda. Trump did not cause this poverty. Democrats were in power for the preceding 8 years and they did not address the problem either. Jesus said there would always be poor among society and that didn't stop him from allowing expensive oil/perfume to be used upon him as an anointing. It is not a crime or a sin to be rich, one should just use their riches wisely as they see fit and God directs them. When all the people in this so called ministry give up all their assets and homes, then come back and tell me how much better you THINK you are than our wonderful president Mr Donald J Trump....until then, shut your pie holes.

I'm from summers Co.I left 40 some years ago I use to visit often but rarely now I have friends & family there that are so sadly uninformed about the politics of the world some old fart man comes around to pick up voters to take them to the polls then tells them who to vote for its sad because they don't know a thing about what's really going on.
I believe its to make others aware and to garner help with these families, possibly someone watching has more to offer as in a long term stability situation. It also says not to judge, but here we are huh?

Born and raised in WV, just a county or two from McDowell Co., sorry to inform you my brother, but Trump has nothing to do with what has happened in our state and particularly McDowell Co. This state has ALWAYS been Demacrat, so you can look elswhere to blame for what has happend, and I hate to tell you this but the welfare system is as much to blame as anything, I know families that are generational welfare, they were raised on welfare and taught how to stay on it. My papaw had a saying," there's no shame in being poor, but there's no excuse being poor and nasty". Bless you for reaching out to show the love of Christ, but for you to judge who is going to hell is wrong, you do not have that authority, only God the Father does. "Judge not lest ye be judged".
AsphaltMan11 thank you for this, my heart was bleeding and somewhat still will...prayers these people can break free from the ties the bind them to this life. There are jobs to be had in other parts of this country. Maybe ministries should help these families relocate to areas where they have a better chance of maintaining adequate employment. It's nice to give them a home but then what?? They have no means of maintaining it, how do they provide food for their daughter when they bring her home, clothing? I've seen the same in Kentucky.

I’m from McDowell county. My family has been gone for a long time but I will always have a special place in my heart for WV.
I been thru there many times. It’s a poor area in places indeed. I agreed with everything BUT the TRUMP thing BUT I’m not going there. Thank GOD for the good people like these people that love & bless the poor like Christ commanded them to do.

What the white privilege you hear about in the news are those policies that greater hurt people of color, as well as day to day judgements made that are against them. Recognizing white privilege isn’t anti white people, and it’s a first step towards helping those in the US in poverty.
Oh, white privilege is still very much alive. If they were black the city would knock their shanty house down in a minute, and all the white people standing around him would report the illegal structure.

But profiling against black people is very common so I get your point about white people rattling on their black neighbors, as often happens in more suburban areas.
Good Lord, I am just frozen in my seat from the horrific living quarters these poor, precious beings exist in. I can't believe it's possible to even survive a day like this. I to worked in the coal mine for 10 years just across the line in south west part of va I know how hard it was with my family I could barely feed them at times but I did not want the government supporting me I was my own man like my father I finily decied to leave and that's not always easy to do to leave far away to find a new beginning may god bless you and all of you up there

I lost everything in 2008 and lived in a one room cabin without water and electricity for four years. It was the best time of my life. I was actually free! These people are living the true dream.
I have lived in tents fulltime twice in my life, as well on the lower cliffs just off the beach...all three were yes the best times of my life. Little do we need to live day to day. I would do I it all over again. I am 73.

I feel for the poor of West Virginia. My father side of the family is from Centralia. Before becoming disabled I used to spend a month up there every other year. I fell in love with the people there, they are friendly and willing to help someone else even though they need help themselves.
Many people don't know what Centralia story is about..

This made me cry. My grandpa worked at Pocohaumtas Coal mine and he had 5 kids to feed and clothe. It was not easy. Thank God for this church who visited, prayed and swapped shoes. Mom talks a lot about Anawalt a lot but that town is no more. 😢 God Bless those who help our Coal miners.

If you really want to help you should fix old homes for good people. There are many old houses with drafty windows and poor insulation. There are many old old people who are still using coal for heat, why not give them central heating? This is how to really help, not like the video above.

I know this guy this is right down the road from where I grew up it's crazy but I moved to a place where everyone says oh this place is small it's a ghost town there is no jobs lol they have no clue I tried to tell them just go to where I'm from ieager West Virginia or Bradshaw West Virginia nobody gives a damn everything is expensive there and just like Tony says you can't buy a job Its just depressing really hopefully one day everything back home changes. It's crazy to think that 40 or 50 years ago it used to be wide open there.
This is very admirable of you to do this. I spent two weeks on a hunting trip out in Montcalm, which is just outside this town. A very good friend of mine was born and bred in that county. It is the same exact thing there; the suffering, the poverty, etc. Appalachian folk and rural folks in general are the most forgotten demographic not just in North America, but in the entire western world. They’re constantly mocked and ridiculed and scorned and spit upon by smug, black-hearted progressives in their urbanite bubbles and out-of-touch bourgeois liberals who would love nothing more than to destroy what’s left of the traditional homeland of these tough-as-nails Scots-Irish people. I’m not Protestant, I’m an Orthodox Christian, but my prayers are always with these folks. As well as with you wonderful people. I know how self-reliance and independence is a significant part of their traditional culture, but I would still very much love to find out what I can do to help.

We helped them regardless. My husband was asking those questions to talk to them on a Spiritual level. That is the most important thing we can do to help.

Thank you and Yahweh bless you for everything you have done. I was born in Welch, West Virginia McDowell County. My dad worked in the coal mines, we lived in the mining towns and mama shopped the company store. My dad and mom moved us to Ohio because of all the mine lay offs, and dad wanted a better life for us. Then from Ohio to North Carolina, where he became a mechanic for Goodyear tire and rubber co. Dad worked hard for us day and night under very little light in the yard on everyone's cars. I can remember in the winter, his hands would crack and bleed from knocking his cold frozen hands on parts of the motor trying to get to things. Boy things sure have changed. Now days these kids have children and don't even care for them. It's sad, my mom and dad were hard on us kids, but had more love in the ends of their pinky finger than most have in their whole body. Yahweh bless my sweet daddy and mama. I miss them terribly 😢.

I have no idea why there are people blaming trump for this. Coal mines shutting down is an old problem that started way before Trump came along. The demand for coal usage has been in decline because of the push for clean energy.

We know Big 4. It was sad when the Walmart there closed down. It just sits there empty now. And people have to drive all the way to Bluefield for many things.
I'm from Caretta which is 5-10 mins from War WVA born and raised. I now live in NC. Left WVA when I went into the Military. Only go back to visit family. Love it there. But it's gets worse Evey time I visit. God bless everyone involved in this.

I was all into this video until ur hate came out. I’m a white southern male and a ten year army vet and I am also a supporter of Trump and guns. This guy was obviously a Obama Muslim supporter and Obama is rich as well and sent hundreds of millions of US dollars to Muslim countries and not much to Christian Countries. I noticed in your videos that there was no judgement on the way the people's property looked with all the trash around. I need a question answered. Why do the people ignore this situation? There are plenty of reasons to be poor but I don't understand the mess. It seems that cleaning up would go along way to feeling better about them selves. There seems to be plenty of able bodied people to do that. I have a neighbor up the street (disabled)that has a yard like that and she will not let me help her with it . I just don't get it.

I'm from clay county. I come from coal miners. And moon shiners. I live in Cleveland Ohio now but my roots are always going to be in west Virginia. Hopefully I will be able to retire there.

I went to school in McDowell County. Every Christmas, we would buy gifts for the people in need. Made us feel real good, and, people were always welcoming.
Lived here my whole life and never seen anyone live like this unless they are on drugs. I cant stand that tv and stuff looks for the worse in everything. Yea we got it tough in mcdowell. Cause all we got is the coal mines. And everybody hates on it. Its what built this county. Mcdowell was the richest county in the u.s years ago now it poverty. Coal is here. Just need the work. You do realize that the people that live like this most often choose to live this way, right? Drugs and alcoholism and lack of motivation and not wanting to have a real job and pay taxes like everyone else. Its not politics.Trump bought hope to many who lost their jobs in the coal mining region.The liberals wanted the government to subsidize and retrain these locals and relocate them somewhere else after the Obama administration closed their mines because of the EPA regulations that had to many restriction on the companies. They like it just fine where they are,they just want the jobs back
Hope is just that - false hope. The coal industry has seen a net loss in jobs so far in 2017 and the mines keep on closing. The jobs are never coming back. Come 2020 these people are probably going to be poorer, more unemployed and they'll still keep voting for Trump and the false hope he dangles like a carrot on a stick.

Let me correct you,my father was a coal miner from West Virginia,he never got money for the mines he got a paper called script,and it was use at the coal mine store and had to live in coal mine houses.
