love it👍 I' m glad that I'm already using some of these methods. Another good tip is to use lime rather than lemon cause it's more of an effective cleaner, especially with stubborn smells in plates, containers, and pans.
Maaan... The sponge used for double dipping (cleaning your hands and *then* cleaning the sink) sent shivers through my spine... That's not OCD safe! God... and the you have the fungal towel :O...
it might just be my luck, but i paused the video and quickly tried the sink clog trick in the bathroom. 5min later, the old boiling water in the sink is still in the sink and getting colder. But I continued to watch the video and saw the oven grease stain trick. Before I checked the results of the sink, I started this new project to finally clean off my oven stains. It didn't work so I tried it one more time but with a little more baking soda this time. I scrubbed that oven door as hard as I could. 5min later, voila! Yep. You guessed it. ALL the spots are still on the oven door. That oven is NASTY! I need to move.
How long did you let the vinegar sit on the baking soda oven door. They didn't specify (manythings) but maybe longer wait on vinegar spray on the baking soda before trying to wipe away may have helped. ???
this channel gotta realize that they have to lable things edit: OMG, OMG, OMG, OMG, OMG. thank you all for this much likes. omg I can't believe I got this much likes. omg this has never happened to me before. thank you so so much
Great video, thanks! Just wanted to point out that I think the recipes for the dish washer tabs and the toilet bombs maybe mixed up. The toilet bomb one would make more sense without the liquid dishsoap and the dishsoap tabs would make sense to use in the dishwasher - just my take on it.
The beginning pretty much showed the ing. used repeatedly and for any extras there was a label that kind of got a little lost in the photography. Pretty basic, probably don’t need exact measurements.
The plugged sink trick is exactly what I need.. My bathroom sink is plugged but I haven't used Drano on it yet because my cat just discovered he likes to drink from the tap and the sink itself.. I love that these are pet safe.. (and kid safe if you're into that kind of thing.. )
Did anyone also notice that the video from 40 seconds thru 1:22, where it shows you how to CLEAN SILVER with a skillet of boiling water, balled up aluminum foil, and baking SODA, will clean your Silver like new. Or that's what they show you in the Beginning/Before cleaning, and then, to the After/End of the video. NOT ONE piece of jewelry WAS USED, well maybe the spoon, was cleaned, but not with this mix they show you. I work with Silver Coins, Silver Rings, and Silver Pendants on Silver Necklaces and the process is called "Pickling" or Cleaning the Silver and if that trick worked, I'd have a lot more money because the compound I use is an acid bath that cleans the silver and it isn't cheap. FYI please don't waist you time. The spoon then it came out of the mix was yellowed and not like the spoon at the end. I'll give you a hint of what I use, Sparex #2. It must be #2 because that is for Silver Only.
oh dear, my dishes are dirty. guess I better go to the store and buy 12 different items, go home, mix the items then wait two hours instead of just buying 1 item that does the same thing as the other 12 mixed together
lol so you use laundry detergent to clean everything and i use floor and dish detergent to clean clothes and everything ..in my opinion clothes detergent is too soft to even clean the clothes
I love 5- Minute Crafts... but this one was the Worst one I have ever seen... Starting at 4:08... What is that "White Stuff" you were using on the Iron... Salt? Soda? Flour?... This is an absolutely wonderful video. There are so many great tips for cleaning. I really like the fact that you use all natural means to get the job done. Thank you for sharing. I am subscribing and will pass this video on.
First comment anywhere ever... 1st. You should always namne what ingredients you are using for the LIFE HACK. With my old eyes, Salt and Soda look pretty much the same. 2nd thing I would like to say is... I aprreciate what you are doing here. I love that some of your ideas for things remind me of things that I have used in the distant past. 3rd. A comment on the comment about most people seeing these HACKS. Not only do I know what an iron is, and how to use one properly. I remember my Grandmother heating hers on the stove to use it. :P Sincerely ..Just and old Gentleman born in middle of last century. Keep up the good work.
Cutting a hole in 2 sponges, then finding 2 magnets to put them, then gluing them up, then shoving one in a bottle to clean the inside of the bottle? Or...shove a sponge in the bottle, then get the handle of a wooden spoon and use it to wipe the sponge around inside the bottle. I just hacked your hack, you time waster!
Kitten Love Serious question ..What is your normal? Not joking, do you mean using toxic chemicals, which are very dangerous to your health? (I use zero chemicals, stopped over 14 years ago)
If you're in the USA, here's an even smarter way to reuse old towels: offer them to your local animal shelter or ASPCA. They can always use them, but if there aren't any shelters near you, you can also take them to the local veterinarian's office; donations of things like that help them keep their costs as low as possible.

Use vinegar instead of ammonia. Never use ammonia in household: it kills soft tissues, joints, the skin and finger nails absorb it, it is one of the most hazardous poison. Vinegar will gently soak off practically everything. Pour baking soda in plastic box, place the items into, empty a bottle of vinegar and let soaking off.

Sponge as a soap dish! That's brilliant! I have a sponge right next to our soap dish and that never occurred to me...and cleaning the soap dish is annoying cuz I'm the only one who cleans it.
Cute idea with the rope rug but with a cardboard bottom everybody would be sliding in your door, landing on their bottoms.
Good! Then I won't have to worry about having too much company.

Who else wanted the thumbnail hack? I want to clean my stove guards! D:
Seal each grate in a heavy duty zip bag with ammonia. I leave mine overnight.
Put them in ammonia and a zip-bag for a couple of hours. It works magics.
Yes! That's the only reason I clicked on this video!
THANKS to Susie98052 and Unforgettable for sharing the tip :)
+Jeffah24 Facts!!! Tfs this tip!
me, as well. That's why I clicked, too.
Great video, thanks!

The toilet bomb one would make more sense without the liquid dishsoap and the dishsoap tabs would make sense to use in the dishwasher - just my take on it.
*Put stove grates in ammonia and a zip-bag for a couple of hours. It works wonders.*
Youd need a very big ziplock bag for the stovegrates on my stove
Man, that toilet bomb was so refreshing. The citric acid made it taste really lemony.
Stopped watching after 5 mins or so there was no labeling on the ingredients that were used for most of the demos!! Am I supposed to psychic?
Yup!!
Me too! So annoying when they don't provide the necessary information!
The beginning pretty much showed the ing. used repeatedly and for any extras there was a label that kind of got a little lost in the photography. Pretty basic, probably don’t need exact measurements.
Me too, kept wondering if it was salt or baking soda or what??
Me too, but then discovered I need to scroll up to see ingredients - they are listed above
"5 minutes craft" channel taught me that, DISH SOAP can be used in various aspects!!.!! 😛😛😛
Mineral Deposits: 7:28
Home-Made Dishwasher Soap: 7:50
Refreshing toilet bombs: 8:08

people who cook and bake on a regular basis usually always have those ingredients on hand, except for lemons.
Mz Phat Peachz 👍 Great tip. Thanks 🙏
Anacaona4 You are correct about that. The only thing I don't have is ammonia.
lol so you use laundry detergent to clean everything and i use floor and dish detergent to clean clothes and everything ..in my opinion clothes detergent is too soft to even clean the clothes
I like the towel made bath mat 👍 Also liked the way to clean the oven and kettle 👍
SO DID I BLINK AND MISS THE STOVE BURNERS OR WHAT ?
That's the reason I clicked on.
You didn't miss it. Some other comments said that trick is ammonia and to leave it in the ziplock from a couple hours to overnight.
Same here
Same here🤔that's reason I clicked on🤷
I know, so I watched the whole thing anticipating the stove burners and--nothing! Grrr
Every hack for stove cleaning had me smiling from ear to ear and it all works well. 😊
I must try the shaving cream on the mirror hack.

you will need 99999 sponges and 99999 tons of baking soda. oh and don't forget the 99999 bathtubs of vinegar!
I got 99999 problems, but a sponge ain't one.
if you're going to commit to this, you're going to want at least a couple of citrus trees and a salt mine..
Richard Carpenter Hart lol true
and several new looking towels probably costing at least £5 each to make a bathmat you totally couldn't just go an buy cheaper from a shop
Better than getting cancer from using mainstream, and many supposedly "healthy/eco" products ;)
Thank you.I appreciate the quick, simple, affordable ideas.I will try some of your useful tips.

I just don't get the point of mixing lemon or vinegar with soda, yes it's bubbling, and that's it.
If you mix an acid and a base, you end up with something neutral, that will be somewhat chemically inert.
That basically means that there are more efficient ways of mixing household items...
The bubbling is cavitation. There are thousands of tiny bubbles forming and bursting every second. This will loosen up stains.
Why do people always make that argument? There are plenty of PH neutral cleaners on the market.
