The way the two of you look as you talk about "Allegro Brillante", just the genuine emotion is how much I enjoyed this interview. So much love. Love for dance, love for "his Ginny", love for colleagues, for each other and just the joy of connecting with each other as friends. It was a beautiful interview and my favorite. A gift for you to treasure.
I found my interest in ballet through Katherine Morgan, so I don't know most of the people you've interviewed, and didn't know where to start (other than Katie). So glad I started here. Bobby just looks like he has powerful stories to tell, and it couldn't be more true. Call your grandparents, everyone. They have stories too, and time to tell them.
I've enjoyed watching several of your interviews during the shutdown here in NYC, but I absolutely loved watching your interview with Mr. Barnett. He had the best stories!! What an amazing memory. Thank you for sharing :-)
Loved eveey second of it❤ interesting stories and what a lovely person he is! Also you really are such a natural interviewer... so charismatic and pleasant
Megan thank you SO much!!! This is absolute gold. I don't know if you worked with Jeff Rogers at Ballet West but I know Robbie did. I'd like to request if possible an interview with him. Thank you so much, this is a rare blessing to come out of the shut down. 💓❤️💗💖💞♥️
Thank you so much for this wonderful interview! I saw the Atlanta Ballet and Mr. Barnett perform in Asheville, NC at the City Auditorium a couple of times in the early 60s. I was about 11/12 years old and crazy about ballet! :) I still have the newspaper clippings. Beautiful photo of Mr. Barnett with Anne Burton. One year they performed Serenade, a ballet called Wings of Youth and another untitled pas de deux. Love all his wonderful recollections of his dance career and life! Thank you so much!!!! :) ❤ ❤ ❤
Thank you for posting this. I love the ballet and enjoyed this so much! Bobby also reminded me of my grandfather who was also in the navy stationed in the South Pacific during World War II - the beginning made me think of stories that he used to tell. So a double thank you for letting me relive some of those beloved moments!
Amazing! I danced at the studio where you two met in Hawaii and have been blessed to witness both of your work while I was there. Love these interviews!
I grew up watching the version of Allegro that was filmed with Suzanne Farrell and Peter Martins in the principal roles before I ever saw it live. I remember catching Black & White ballets live when I went to go see NYCB as a kid. But some rep I only saw on video until adulthood.
I’m loving these so much!! You are such a gift during these times! Thank you so much!! These keep me so inspired while keeping up with online ballet classes❤️❤️ you are one of my very favorite dancers
Brilliant interview with a charming & terrific raconteur. Love it immensely. He has wonderful tales to tell.

Oh my gosh Robert was SO cute in his Navy days
This is a genuine treat. Thank you.
I wonder if anyone has archived his choreographic work?
Can you interview John Clifford?
I see you've done some editing 😉😉 balanchine trust strikes again?
How is it possible that he’s 95?!!
Allegro gives me hope that crop toos for men will come back in style.
Barnett Trump will be reelected.
