Joachin,i saw your Bach and I find it breathtaking!!! Perhaps you don'nt have the age to go on with it but please teach the new dancers to dance with your passion!!! 🕺🏻🥰🥰🥰
One of THE BEST interviews. So much history captured and presented with such charm. Their rapport and transparent joy in their shared dance journey is palpable.
It is such a joy to see you speaking to all these fine dancers, and charming people. I had a major laugh when Joaquin De Luz described the scene of having his audition at SAB , for NYCB, and Mischa, who was to teach the class +Peter Martins, Jerry Robbins and Eddie Vilella were all sitting there. What a moment! Thanks so much Megan for your own highly skilled interview skills as well as speaking about your own experiences. I have been a dancer and a follower of dance for many decades, originally training with Thalia Mara, Arthur Mahoney and Yurek Lazowski at Ballet Repertoire, in the 50's and 60's...the passion has never left me. I went to NYCB so often in the 60's that I knew the repertoire at that time, step for step, in many cases. I LOVE your interviews. So many of the dancers I saw on stage went on to become ballet masters and representatives of the Ballanchine Trust, staging his ballets all over the world. What a wonderful legacy and tradition. Carry on!
I miss and love you both so much. Thank you for doing these wonderful, candid interviews. I am so enjoying each one to the fullest. You’re giving us lot of wonderful memories and a lot of hope for a beautiful future. ¡Gracias! ❤️💋❤️
Megan and Joaquin, what a fun interview! Thank you for putting this together and sharing it with the world. I really enjoying hearing the stories about your art.
I love your relationship....so charming fun respectful. Incredible. Thank you so much Megan. Really amazing insight that you bring to these interviews.
Thank you Meagan for this interview with Joaquin. I always enjoyed your special dance onstage partnership, and this video allows us the public to see the special rapport that you have from a different angle. Congrats to Joaquin in his new career.
Wondering if you are related to Mr. Frank Ricca? He was involved with Thalia Mara and Arthur Mahoney at their School for Ballet Repertory..W. 54 St, in 1950's, 60's, 70's. I knew him as a child, there.
Megan, you are so good at this! And I wish I had been born in Spain. I had an exchange student back when I was in middle school who was from Madrid and I love that country so much. I'm half Italian, half French, but wish to be Spanish! Anyway, this was one of the best interviews I've seen! Keep doing them please!!! Love!!
These are amazing! What you're doing is so important for the history of ballet (and you're an extraordinary interviewer!) Serious request to interview Gelsey Kirkland
Wait, it was a Karinska?!😮😂 I literally snorted several times watching this. You guys are a riot! Please keep these coming! And thank you for sharing your experiences, memories, and feelings so candidly and honestly with us. 🙏 Thank you!
I'd love to see an interview with Robbie, Ashley Bouder and Peters Martins (don't know if it could works). Thank you so much for these videos! Megan, you are such a special dancer and you talk to me. I saw you on "On The Town" on Broadway and loved it. Next time I come back to NY, I'd love to see you in a NYCB show!
I loved this soooo much!!! Your friendship is truly special and endearing and it was beautiful to watch. Your dance partnership was magical. I didn’t want the interview to end!! 🥰❤️
I heard a story once about Sylvie Guillem. She just wasn’t hitting her balance or fouetté or something. Apparently she shrugged her shoulders and said “Demain ( tomorrow).” 🙂
Thank you Megan!! Such a great interview!! Would you interview yourself?? Let your fans submit questions and then answer?? I for one, want to know how your French is coming along!!
Yes! I‘d love to hear why/ how you chose to study math/ econ (what made you be interested in it and what is your aim) and how you manage to do this along with your demanding career.
Is the painful slaughter of an innocent animal funny Joaquin and Meghan? The bull is starved for weeks and enclosed. When the bull is finally let out into the arena the bull thinks that he has finally been set free and that his hunger and isolation is over only to get a very crude awakening. The bull finds himself trapped yet again. The bull has to endure a slow, tortuous, death from stabbing. One bull is cornered by men on mules and a matador. The machismo bullfighter is mascarading as a brave victor but it is a very pathetic thing. If a matador is so brave and courageous, why doesn't he go into the ring by himself unarmed and battle the bull? What a sad commentary that so much of the macho patriarchy of the world renders a perception that it is a big giant act of courageness for a matador to savage a bull and come out as the "victor" when the bull collapses in agony and is bleeding to death in his own blood as the matador arrogantly pumps up his chest for his brave "victory". A "victory" achieved by stabbing a bull dozens and dozens of times to declare the matador's "superiority" over a weak, savaged, dying animal. Bull fighting is archaic. It should be done with and chuckling about it so casually I find offensive. All matadors need to end bullfighting and use their artistry and skill to learn a new trade: ballet or other forms of the dance. Matadors should become dancers. That would take courage.

Megan needs to get more international. Enough with the American small time folksy stuff. Europe is also on the net, as is Russia.
