- As much as Peter Parker and Miles Morales occupy the playtime in Marvel's Spider-Man 2, available now on PS5, Venom and the Symbiote are creating the most buzz.
Throughout the smash hit open-world superhero title, both entities make an impact in several ways. It's to the extent that a spin-off featuring Venom as a playable character isn't looking too far-fetched. Even the developer is waiting to gauge fan reaction about whether to go in that direction.
Besides being one of the antagonists, why is Venom such a big deal in the sequel, and how exactly does he make an impact? Check out some of the Symbiote's best moments in Marvel's Spider-Man 2 and how a potential spin-off with Venom could work. - Ігри
Playing as venom was honestly one of if not my favorite part of the game. Really wish we could replay missions so I could experience it again without having to start a new save
We will. Later this year a patch will come out that includes new game plus and replay option similar to Miles Morales

A Venom solo game would be awesome also bring Scream back as anti hero they could also get comic skins like Sillence and Anti Venom

I would want to see a riot skin or the version of venom from the venom film if they make a venom game I hope they make venom hilarious like in the venom movie with Eddie brock
Insomniac rose to new heights with Spiderman 2. It is a masterpiece

It's not. 1 was. Spiderman 2 2004 was. Ultimate and Web of shadows was. This was good but no masterpiece
It would be interesting if the Eddie Brock character is introduced in the Venom game. He could be someone who loses his job because of Mary Jane's pod ast (or something) and takes work as a hospital janitor to get by. He comes into contact with Harry while cleaning his room, and a trace amount of the symbiote senses his anger and latches on. Eddie becomes Venom, while Harry finally succumbs to his illness since the symbiote keeping him alive is gone. This completes Norman's transformation into Goblin with a revenge quest against Peter and Miles, while Eddie as Venom starts a revenge quest against MJ and Peter (since the symbiote is pissed Peter rejected it). Mix in Cletus Cassidy as Carnage peaking Venom's interest with an ultimate showdown, and you get a crazy combination of Maximum Carnage and the Sinister Six for the Venom spinoff and Spiderman 3.

Plus Harry still have the remains of the symbiote within him. Since Connors, and Mr Negative, have shown the symbiote does not truly go away.
The one that didn't touch the Knull's rock is still within Harry. The true, and not influenced Venom.
A Venom spin-off would explain a lot of what truly happened in the second game.
Notally why at the end of the game, Venom seemed more... mood changing ? Sometimes it seemed friendly, asking for Spider-Man to join them.
Then it acted like a beast ready to invade the world.
I would prefer flash Thompson we due get some teasers with him being in the military

He got a hint in the first game too, but there was some implication he wasn't as antagonistic in this 'verse. Guess we'll see, hopefully.
He wouldn’t be the new guy because in the first game Peter had a card signed by people that worked at the Bugle before he left and Eddie was one of them
Maaaan, Insomniac really just played all great old superhero games and blended it all to make the perfect formula that’s highly polished and pretty as hell to look at . A1 job
I think a 3 part DLC (similar to the city that never sleeps for spiderman 1) would be awsome to bring in Carnage and be able to play as Venom.
Carnage as dlc is a waste. He’s overpowered and deserves a whole game. Unless they don’t kill him of by the end of it, setting him up as one of the big bads in Spider-Man 3. Green goblin, carnage etc.

I just hope venom isn’t really gone the way it ended, straight up showing his symbiote disintegrate rather than crawling somewhere. But them leaving it up in the air the potential of a venom spin off, I guess they could always just figure out a way for him to return. With all that build up of knull, a spin off is just asking to be made
With symbiotes running around still in the epilogue I'm hoping they just say something like Venom's mind escaped death via the hive mind and can re-constitute a physical form later on. I seriously hope he isn't finished in the plot either, given how much they can do with the character (Anti-hero with Harry, villain with Eddie, hero with Flash, any combination thereof and etc.)
@@antaganon1179I would want Eddie to be the anti-hero this time. It would be a lot better. Since I would want him to fight Knull like the comics if we ever reach that point
@@antaganon1179 You also have to remember that Cletus Cassidy has his own portion of the symbiote protected in the Oscorp case which he took from the finale of the Flame sidequest.
Well what if Mr negative took his powers back from Peter, venom would exist again, because even though Peter got rid of venom from his body, a small part of venom still remained

@@Saiyan1229I was begging they tone down the missions that we do anything but play as either of the Spideys but I'm really surprised that the made most of the non-spidey segments pretty enjoyable this time around. Obviously, playing as MJ this time was many times better than in the 1st game.

I honestly expect a DLC or spinoff game with Carnage as the main antagonist and both Peter and Miles having to team up with Venom in order to beat Carnage.
Just hope we won't have to wait for too long until release!
It's a really good idea, I mean Carnage is twisted enough to get the three to reluctantly work together as long as they give Venom any form of redemptive story like he normally gets. Then maybe they even pull some Knull stuff in later on with all the teases they left for him in the game everywhere.
It needs to be a full game tho. Not DLC. That’s too short. Unless the DLC is Carnage in his early days. Like have him defeated in the end of it , but not killed off, setting him up for another appearance in the 3rd game

The suit very well could still be around somehow and they may introduce Eddie next 👀
I hope for Flash myself. Agent Venom is cool and I would really like the conflict between clean, professional soldier man and violent berserker monster.

@@HotdogStephen Yeah that's true, but only for like a second man. (To be fair that was because I couldn't stop slamming through the story) To be fair I am biased to the Agent Venom/Flash Thompson host stuff. I just like that arc because the symbiote grows way more personality and character development wise and Flash goes from being "that dick who bullied Pete in High School" to a conflicted and maimed war vet with far more noble qualities.

For a veom spinoff to work, they should approach venom like the 1994 spiderman animated show. Where the venom has pretty much all of Spiderman powers and more amped up. This includes web swinging etc. This would be so cool and tie in well with him becoming an anti hero. This approach would work better than them making venom rampage through the city or just jumping from building to building. That's more of a hulk style
And when he swings, he should move with the force of a wrecking ball. Imagine a guy that huge swinging on a pendulum.

@@jc_hills1540 Maybe a mechanic that can be unlocked later in the story. After all, you wouldn't wanna make things too easy for the player.
Well that's always really been Venom by default, even when he first showed up in the comics. I'm more interested to see how they go about his own unique powers like invisibility and shape-shifting. Miles can already go invisible and web swinging could show him trying to be more heroic, but turning the symbiote into clothes to evade detection or the police would be great

I actually think they gave Venom the wings as a way to glide if he ever became playable in the open world. I'm thinking DLC is coming, maybe we will see.

The only thing he was goofy in was lethal protector and that trash movie everyone calls a venom movie this version of venom is the closest thing to Todd McFarland birth of venom comic and the 90s animated series venom witch both were darker and venom was spider man worst villain he ever faced

I think a good spin off would be the military getting a piece of the Venom symbiote and it becoming project rebirth 2.0 like in the comics and Flash Thompson being Agent Venom with the regular Venom look being like a rage form

Im thinking the dlc or spin-off is about Venom and anti-agent Venom teaming to stop Carnage. So peter is in coma after battling Carnage and miles controlled by Carnage symbiote. Some of original black symbiote found eddie brock as host and peter's anti-venom symbiote went to flash thompson

Carnage is too big of a villain to just be dlc
I will point out we do have two abillities for venom so far rage and slam and i have a theory by Spider-Man 3 i mentioned this to myself what if venom joins the good side with miles peter and cindy? This would make 4 spider heroes and mabye he could have a team abillity where he can combine with miles and cindy Like morphing them into symbiotes or giving them a symbiote suit?

I always wanted a Venom game based on the Tom Hardy movies but I wouldnt mind a game set in Earth-1048.
Venom just got disintegrated thanks to Peter's Anti Venom suit, how exactly can they make a spin off if he's dead?

Dlc about carnage. The rest of venom seprates from carnage. Leading to a venom spin off about how venom becomes agent venom with classic venom beeing the rampage mode.
Agent venom doesn’t sell as hard as OG Venom.
I would like to see a Venom spin off. But they should introduce Eddie Brock, someone that the symbiote is meant to be with. And he should have more control over the symbiote and abilities closer to Spider-man

Venom isn’t dead, after you beat the game return to the place where Peter lost the symbiote and you will find the places covered by his tentacles with strange ominous music and sounds playing.

As good as Spider-Man 2 is, I still think that Baldur's Gate 3 takes Game of the Year.
Venom I one of my most favorite characters I would love to play as him, if I had to be honest that would be the only reason I would buy the game is to be venom.

Not the way I would want it but harry also could be agent venom and have a venom mode like kratos giving harry some regret and turmoil In what he did and we already know that there could be a small bit symbiote could be in in harry body you never know the g serum could revive a new symbiote with that being the venom more like the comics

One problem symbiote got destroyed venom game would work as a origin story for the symbiote like before conners found it and before Pete became its 1st host then harry afterwards if not, they (insomniac) should just focus on Marvel Spider-Man 3 they set us for Marvel Spider-Man 3 by showing us at least 3 or 4 post credit scenes 1 of them hinted towards the return of Otto and possibly Norman becoming green goblin and while the other teased a new character Slik/Cindy moon’s family being introduced to miles family & friends.
And cleatus cassady getting the symbiote so carnage

Well, there are still symbiote creatures running around in the city even after the epilogue. They could try using the hive mind as an explanation for him returning, say his mind escaped from that bodies' destruction and have him reconstitute a new form later possibly.

Disagree strongly, my homie. The city covered in goo, thefight at Midtown high with the "Work for Oscorp" sign hanging above along with the final fight with Miles, Harry's "replacement"all worked for me.
