Very interesting trivia. With every ship I fly I do like to take a look to see where I think the pilot is sat. Often times it's in a highly unsatisfying, unsymetrical position (looking at you Catalyst)
Great video as always Captain. These T8 interceptors are absolutely devastating. I don’t think a lot of people understand yet how powerful they can be. I’ve been doing solo PvP with the Condor and Executioner version and destroying Fleet and Navy issue cruisers with ease. I find drone ships using medium drones to be great targets, because their drones aren’t fast enough to get in range. The Condor using missiles is by far the easier one to use from a skills standpoint. The Executioner requires very high skills in lasers to kite interruptive warp scramblers and still hit effectively. I’m having a lot of fun with these ships.
Recommend getting rid of the shield booster to recover the power grid. Being speed tanked and otherwise with paper thin defense, if you ever start taking damage, the shield booster isn't going to keep up with it and likely to cause a pilot to stick around a few seconds longer than he or she should. You should be using that time to get out of dodge instead of trying to tank it first. You can use a damage control unit to give you tank while you escape. I also recommend fitting Afterburners instead of MWD even with the MWD bonus from EWAR. Going 2KM+/s with afterburners is going to get you out of range of scrams if you fly right your at enemy ship at full speed, you'll come out on the other side of their scram range and off you go. That will also recover a few more grid for your C-Type missiles.
You sure about this mate? Why would flying directly at your enemy at full speed achieve anything? Apart from in the unlikely event that you might scare them off! 😄
@@kennyutoob yeah, ships need time to react. When you head straight for a ship that is orbiting you, it tries to lengthen it's orbit to compensate for you being closer, and when you shoot in behind them it forces a direction change which brings their speed to near zero for a few seconds to make the turn then they have to reaccelerate. I use tactics like this for example to break Elite Frigate orbits such as the elite frigates in Super Soft Drink when they are commanding orbit range outside of my range, it lets me force them in and out of range....or when I have to get our of scram range ... works every time whether it's an elite mission frigate or in PvP....MAYBE if they are fully inertia tanked they could stop this from working, but I don't see a lot of pilots fitting 3 polycarbs and 2 intertia stabalizers.
@@adventuresinmartialarchery2767 you've clearly thought about this a lot. I'm sorry I mocked your comment now. Obviously I've got to try this sometime! o7
Cheers for that cap'n. Personally, I'd probably choose a different Interceptor - probably Atron - purely because it's not the most popular. (That's strategic). No doubt the Condor is a phenomenon though. So yeah. Going to wait this one out 😏
Thanks Capt B. Since this vid came out the price for this in Jita went up from 65m to over 130m. In a couple of days when I hit 8 can you do a video saying it is crap please?
I know that in EO the Stiletto (Slasher Interceptor) is the most popular so I wonder if it’ll stay that way in EE or if another interceptor will be even better
Can't wait to get this when I hit Tech 8. Shame I'm into missiles and in Gurista space and the disruptors mess them up so much. At least I'll be able to afk warp to Jita from null-sec
Getting intrigued by the condor interceptor, was gonna go slasher interceptor as fastest ship but the missle dmg is looking attractive. Would love to fly a fleet of those
A video about turret based interceptor would be great. They play so different from the Condor. Short range you would need to turn off MWD - > get hit by everything Or go long range and hit nothing because the tracking is to low for a 3500km/s orbit
@@captainbenzie don't worry you will get better and better as the time goes on because you have one kind of audience who wants to watch exactly what you post and this game is a absolute mammoth.
A guy made me to hull of my merlin assault but he was using disruptors and that guy didn't tried to follow/approach me and I ran away Even subnosed railguns was missing on that slasher interceptor
Wouldn't a afterburner and rapid torps be way better? Way more dps and 1500ms is enough to speedtank.. and then you won't get smooshed due to scrams or am I wrong?
I am looking forward to seeing the Executioner Interceptor video, I love flying my T5 variant and have taken out a few Condor IIs by virtue of the fact I am faster and have better damage versus shields. I wonder if there is any merit in fitting a AB in the low slot in place of the BCU just incase your MWD gets taken out of action? I guess your really trying to stay in range rather than being "up close and personal".. Also, you need an interruptive warp scrambler (+4 scram points/13k range) rather than the Mk5/11km range. I would guess with the bonusses someone with a higher meta level fit Interceptor could really hurt you. I am still 30 days from T8 but I would probably fit an tracking disruptor to one to reduce turrets ability to track, but then again if your going at 3000m/s there isn't much that's going to be able to hit you. Nice to have an extra utility slot though.
@@captainbenzie I was thinking of it primarily as an answer to anyone who manages to get a scram on me. As you pointed out, with the right skills the sig bloom from MWD is pretty negligible on the interceptor, so I don't beleive running AB the entire time is the answer, either. Still, the idea of being basically dead in the water if another interceptor is on-scene, I get surprised by a scram, i miscalculate an orbit ... Well, a little wiggle room sounds nice
Can I get a confirmation that they are immune to multiple bubbles? Like if there are 2 bubbles intersecting each others. Will the interceptors be able to warp all the way or stop at the intersection?

TBH your fit doesn't work for me, now don't get me wrong, it is a very serviceable fit however I found myself running out of capacitor as I was flying with it, so I had to resort to a very similar fitting for the one you did with the Executioner II Ceptor, only replacing the Pulse Lasers with Small Torpedoes and replacing the Heat Dissipator with a Ballistic Control, and that helped me wonders because thanks to the Nosferatu I don't run out of capacitor and thanks to the Afterburner I don't get caught by Scramblers. That being said I don't believe your fitting is shitty or useless, quite the contrary, it's just not for me.
@@dach829 Fair point, I hadn't noticed that and just looked and you are indeed correct. So there is at least a decent reason to train destroyer engineering, but ONLY if you need that extra power grid. In the case of the Condor, it would seem advantageous.
