All of us who want to improve our language skills must do it for ourselves. It is our cross to bear.

As a Brazilian I could'nt get why I had seen some movies with scenes in which people made a cross with the fingers shaping an "X",leaning on the breast This gesture has no particular meaning in Brazil I will never forget it!

Hey, I'd appreciate it if you could expose us to really fast spoken English in movies, conversations and vlogs. First you play a short video and then use a blank space exercise to check if students have fully understood fast spoken English. Afterwards, you explain reductions and contractions used by native speakers in the video. Thank you.

You did it again, Evelyn, recorded a video with poor sound quality. 😶 The clips and ads were loud and clear, but your own speech sounded distant. Never mind, it's a minor technicality. 🙂 Content is king! Or maybe queen? Just to answer your question, almost all of these "cross" idioms were familiar to me, but a few of them I couldn't remember until revealed. Thank you for creating compelling learning materials. 🙏

It's interesting to see how similar several of the idioms stated here are in Spanish. The meaning of "dot your i's and cross your t's" is the same as in Spanish, but it also means "speak with determination and security," "clarify," and "clear up doubts."

Evelyn, thanks for these interesting idioms.
I really liked the format of this lesson, especially the contextual video inserts, and of course, your explanations.
"Let's get going" and "Let's get started"
Could you explain these phrases in more detail please?
Namely, the endings of the verbs "ing" and "ed".
What’s confusing is that both phrases refer to the present tense, but why don’t they say “starting” then?

Evelyn, fantastic content, great job, but could you please do something with sound in the next video, I think you were too far from microphone. I used two devices but it wasn't any better. BTW I showed yout video about monetizing to my students to show them how hard is to be monetized :) They usually think that there is less effort for more money.

If you could help us making a video on "causative verbs" we would be really greatful. Or on "Verbs of perception" like, the difference between "I saw him leave the house" and "I saw him leaving the house" . Thank you. I hope your channel will skyrocket . I'm sharing with all my Brazilian friends.🎉

I keep my fingers crossed for your success in UA-cam, Ms. Evelyn. By the way, the fact that these comment might cross the line has just crossed my mind. I could guess that you would say: let's cross the bridge and get to it. In fact, it's my cross to bear to always be considered a violator by the disgraceful woke culture. I know that you don't have anything to do with and you've been just caught in crossfire between me and them. Or am I wrong? Do you support the woke culture in Canada? Please tell me the truth. I will cross my heart and hope to die. If the answer is positive, don't worry about it: I will never cross your path.

When you are famous you dont have a private life anymore I think thats a cross to bear
I hope Messi wins other titles with Inter Miami, fingers crossed
Even if your close to someone ,you shouldn't put your nose in his/her private life ,dont cross the line
Cross my heart I didnt kiss Maria last night😂😂😂
One time I got caught in the crossfire cuz 2 of my friends were in conflict and they wanted me to choose between them

First. As you say...it's not common to say for example. It's (3:15) a quarter past three, right? How about saying it's a quarter after three. It's officially taught in American English books in official books and on videos of American English.
And the second question, are you married? 😂
