Easy, we (especially fingerstyle) tend to go 121212 on any ruberband, strap or any loose piece of string or clothing. I assume a similar thing happens to people who play with pick locking their arm and twisting their wrist out of nowhere but not have evidence of it
I think a better question is .... how do you know someone doesn't play guitar ... because they ask for random songs like LADY IN RED or HAPPY by Pharrell Williams
well shit, ive had people ask me "do you play guitar", and when i say "yes" they always say either "that makes sense" or "you look like it". But I currently have long (messyish) hair, usually a scragglyish beard (shave like every 3 weeks), im tall and skinny, and wear band shirts. I certainly fit many of these categories. I usually dont talk much about it though unless others do.

@@rshone99 Well him having a Music Man signature is a bit crazy because they are known for doing guitars for more technical players like John Petrucci, Jason Richardson, Steve Lukather , Tosin Abasi , Steve Morse, etc. And yeah Fender gives out signatures like nothing but when Ernie Ball Music Man does one they can be very special. The Valentine signature is a tailor made design with his exact specs in mind. You can essentially buy his custom guitar. Same goes with most of those guys above guitars. Music Man guitars are generally more bespoke than a Fender signature
Searching for strangers who might play guitar, I average around 33%. I look at their stance & general attitude!! Obviously, I'm doing something wrong!! I don't get it. I'm easy to get along with. I'm open to other ideas. But every time I find a potential candidate, Life intervenes & I'm playin Solo!! Yaknow, lookin back, it occurs to me, beside "Creative Differences" a lot of Players are A-Holes & None of my Friends Jam.
