WORST GUITARIST MISTAKES - • WORST GUITARIST MISTAKES
Some other beginner tip: pls tune your guitar every time you start to play
oh yeah this is a good one
why
@@cynically_insane every time you pick it up it’s always a tad bit false, so if you just quickly tune it it can sound better
@@iljavandeoudeweetering290 i dont care about that tho lol
@@cynically_insanebecause everyone loves hearing out of tone music
Instead of washing my hands and ruining the calluses, I just coat all my possessions in Cheetos dust
Remember that the thumb is a guide . Don’t press down on it so hard when you’re playing , especially when performing barre chords . Use the whole arm by pulling inward to apply enough pressure when fretting
Yeah man, just pull that whole chord sharp! Playing in tune with your bandmates is totally overrated 😎
@@jtdevrieze what does this have to do with playing out of tune? It’s just meant to preserve your small finger joints
When i try to do this my thumb hurts like crazy, any tips for that? (I don't press with my thumb, i literally separate it from the guitar but it still hurts like crazy)
@@wostinseparating the guitar from your thumb is also putting unnecessary stress on your thumb, just the opposite kind to squeezing too hard.
yeah learned this the hard way i can’t play sometimes because my hand hurts so bad because i grip the neck to hard

Guitar zero to hero finally getting the recognition it deserves 🙌
I remember learning songs from guitarzero during the pandemic, best channel I've ever discovered.
Doodle around on the whole board, took me 10 years
My tip for any intermediate guitarist is to try and start learning songs by ear as soon as possible, it might be really difficult in the beginning but it’s about the most useful skill in music in general and really helps you later on with your phrasing in your solos! If you’re getting the hang of it learning new songs start to get really really easy!
Love your videos, they're very funny but also helpful. Thanks for making them, hope the country song is doing well
Buying too many guitars could be considered a mistake depending on who you ask. Not me though, buying that squire was not a bad finance decision.
One Tip: Do not only learn songs! Learn also music theory, if you want to be able to play songs by improving (and sound like a pro) or not always want watch tutorials for be able to play a song you like.
Love your videos!
BRO THANKS FOR THE ADVICE YOUR AWESOME PLSS MAKE MORE OF THESE SO I KNOW WHAT TO AVOID AND FOR ME TO EXTENDED MY KNOWLEDGE AT GUITARS
Especially for nylon strings, don't press too hard. Pressing lightly is enough. I learned that the hard way.
Your videos are awesome
In contrast to the last one, over time, slowly start using your ear to figure out songs. Eventually, you'll build up the brain to figure songs out with hearing it a few times and some fiddiling. But certainly use both! As he said, free and easy, mine as well do it.
The calluses are something that you build but can be less painful if you have a good guitar. Ask and investigate the action on the guitar. That is the height between the string and the neck. If it takes a lot of effort to press the string to get a clean, clear sound, do not get that guitar. You should be able to make a nice clean, clear sound without trying to push your fingers through the neck.
About leaving your guitar - yes, leaving your guitar out within easy reach is great, but keep in mind that humidity and temperature play important roles in the guitar’s performance and life.
Thats it no more baths for me. Why take a chance.
Video: Use other tunings!
Me: *staring at my untuned Floyd rose*
Thanks. I need all the help I can get.
If you press to hard it will also break your strings and wear down your frets faster, especially if they are nickle silver and you are pressing too hard on the low strings.
Drop A!!!
Perfect beginner tuning.
GUITAR ZERO 2 HERO MENTIONED 🗣🔥
RAHHHH🗣️🔥
A good bass setup helps with not pushing as hard
Спасибо
Thanks
Personally I really like open gsus4 tuning, just sounds really nice and I recommend it
0:26 the half of enjoyment of leading guitar us the pain.
crazy to think how far ive come with my playing since i first started watching your vids years ago
proud of you
lmao im a dishwasher. ive got my callouses just fine, but my fingies do look cursed haha
When I was still like learning guitar I only used tabs I never watched videos and I'm actually pretty good now lmao even without the videos
“There are so many other tunings, and they are free!” Totally true!
but you can pay me if you want
And don’t forget: the plural of “tablature” is… tablature, not “tablatures. So it follows that the plural for the short form is just “tab”.
Kinda like the plural of “vinyl” is “vinyl”.
we luv u
OMG I wash dishes! Paper plates, yes indeed, my art demands it.
I just opened youtube and your video started tf
my plan has worked
@@RedlightBlue i was the first wasnt i 😃
0:25 started a week ago so callouses are still forming... does this mean I should also stop showering for a few weeks?
Yes…. no
But it’s something to be mindful of more than super practical advice. You can take faster showers at cooler temps, or if you reaaalllly wanted you could toss a plastic bag on your hand like you would if it was in a cast.
You’ll eventually get callouses regardless but little things can make a big difference in how fast it happens
Don’t play immediately after being the water also, something to keep in mind
Pressing and squeezing too hard on frets caused my forearm injury, which makes me reluctant to try again now the injury has finally healed after 6 months. Also, not knowing I should stretch my fingers and warm up properly did not help.
Bruh I work as a restaurant dishwasher…guess I’d better be sure to have gloves on from now on
"Real guitarist learn from Tabs"
When I was a kid Tabs was the new alternative way of learning.
Time change...
I think that last tip is good but shouldn't be totally followed. I think especially with rhythm training e.g being able to get a strumming pattern down instantly is a necessary skill. Like some years ago when I was learning Everlong. The strumming pattern for that famous riff was kind of weird and the guy in the video was explaining it in detail. In the end I found it easier and more beneficial to just learn the strumming pattern by ear
"Change your guitar tuning!" Unless your first and only guitar has a Floyd Rose bridge, then you never want to change it because it's a nightmare. Beginner guitar tip, whammy bars are cool, but don't get one on your first guitar.
I have been trying to learn guitar for more than 3 years. I have learned the chords, but I am struggling with strumming. Can you please give me some advice?
Always wear trousers, in public houses.
@@il9237 wasn’t helpful👎🏻
Dave Trend 💯
Ok, but what if I have a demon disguised as a cat? I have my guitar in a canvas case/bag and worried that this “cat” will ruin it?
I feel so much safer now
so what do I do if my form is so bad I got tendinitis from guitar
stretch
My jobs a pot washer, it doesn't affect anything.
Another tip! USE A METRONOME!!!!
how does one stop pressing too hard?
Press softer
my hands crave violence
Use a Metronome……
The chord was D11/E 👍
That should have a simpler name, like Dadd9, but the G is also there
Besides watching YT, get a good guitar tutor. He'll be able to spot your mistakes. Practice makes perfect but not practice on your mistakes.
Please stop wrapping your thumbs over the too of the guitar neck you cant reach as far doing that
Learn music you like half the battle
Bruh... Just do normal daily things, stop fexing with "Ima gUiTaRiSt" stuff to avoid washing your dishes. Practise guitar until you can't touch strings anymore - then stop and repeat the same process next day. Your fingertips will adapt eventually.
LOL
"real guitarists learn with tabs" and feeling bad about using yt tutorials is truly a generational gap between zoomers and millennials
For us it was "real guitarists know how to read sheet music and play by ear" and we were feeling guilty for using tabs lol
Tip #1 don’t listen to y tube🤡
Disliked and reported
Guitar zero 2 hero single-handedly saved my performance last week 🫡 I get your point
Bro guitarzero2hero i toooo good, you can literally learn any song in under 10 minutes!
