Relaxing landscape hedge trimming

Here im trimming a Laurel (cherry laurel) hedge, a summer time trim.
First of all i cut the side, then the top and finally the other side, using a stihl hla 66, with a ap200 battery.
It is a fairly easy trim to do, the key to success and achieving a good finish, is not to rush.

One of the toughest hedges to get a good finish on is laurel Jason. Sharp tools are key. Lovely job there mate as usual. One other word Cyanide😄

Last time I cut a Laurel hedge, I got a tiny off cut of leaf in my right eye..eeeshh! never happened again, cos I ain't cut it since. Lol!
Nope, all I cut now is hawthorn and privet.

Sounds nasty, easy done, privet is in my top 3 favourite to trim 👌, did half a kilometer of black and hawthorn in winter, I'm in no rush for another 😅.

Btw, what are your overall thoughts on battery vs gas trimmers?

When it comes to battery, battery is just as powerful as gas, there is many benefits to battery, compared to gas, noise levels are much lower, which makes a much nice experience for the customer, less vibration and obviously, no nasty fumes to breathe in, for me gas was good, but it's old technology and we need to move forward.

This is all nice and fine, but the biggest problem is making the top perfectly level and the sides straight. How to place guidance ropes? or some other method,..
