  • This is a privet hedge, which has'nt been trimmed for two years and had become overgrown, im cutting it back hard, on both sides and the top.
I only use battery powered tools, on the sides i used the Stihl hla 66 hedge trimmer and for the top which required a more powerful trimmer, so i used my hsa 94r hedge cutter.
It took about a hour to cut the hedge and half hour to clear the waste up.
    Thank you for watching.

Nice to see your work back on UTube Jay.
I'm gonna install/plant a Leylandii hedge, would spacings between each tree be okay at 800m to 1metre centres?
Appreciate your knowledge on this one mate, thanks.

Hi mate, you nailed it as usual first pass! How to you find working with the tripod ladders, do you find you need several of them for multiple height hedges? The 94r has great torque and with the wider teeth spacing is good for those’s woody branches! Cheers Stoney…

    • @jasongardener3425
      @jasongardener3425  6 місяців тому +1

Cheers mate 🙂, the hsa94r is a awesome machine.
Tripod ladders, I use 3, 6/8/10 foot, if your doing many different heights of hedges or pruning, more than one size is definitely a advantage, big Tripods are great, but if your only halfway up, doing a 7 foot hedge, because of the curve of the ladder, it actually brings you away from the hedge, if I could only have one Tripod, it would be 8 foot, as could do 6 to 10 foot comfortably, 3 adjustable legs is a must too.
      👍👍

      Awesome mate!
I have to invest in something very soon.
I’ve got 4 individual neglected 20-30 feet high hedges coming up in a few weeks, that they want cut down to 15 feet!
3 of them are on uneven ground.😓
      Safety first…😉
      Thanks 🍻

Thanks mate, no don't advertise, it's 5 and 6 day weeks till spring, large to very large property's is key, plus knowing the right people, I'm as busy in winter as mid summer, it's not everyone cup of tea, but it's a fantastic way to work, all my maintenance regularly are full day, plus some one offs on Saturday's.
Hope your keeping well and getting some walking in.
