@thelonghairedgardener lol I live in Ontario 🇨🇦. My childhood was much like yours. I think your temperatures are probably vastly different though zone 7 to zone 5. 49 degrees here now but won't last long. January/February are around the corner. Wouldn't live anywhere else lol
Great room and lovely plants. I had probably half as many but watering became a chore I dreaded. I gave most of them to my sister and now dabble in a small number of succulents. Ha! Ha! Half the watering necessary.
I'm not a bromeliad person per se but that one is stunning! I may be sold on them now! love the growth pattern and silver coloring. Totally a statement plant.
@melg8475 It really is a beautiful plant. I believe that variety is called aechmea fasciata "silver vase," and under ideal conditions, it produces a pink flower. Thank you for watching.
That poinsettia looks like a Jubilee Jingle Bells Poinsettia. They had them at the garden center but were very expensive, so I passed on them this year; they do look pretty don't they.. I have two of those watering globes and they work great. Your mum has a sweet little plant room. I used to live in Norfolk Virginia back in the day (uni/grad school) and the locals called it Naw-fuck, like for real, lol. When I hear people say Norfolk, they don't say it in the same way they do in the south. Which is fine, I do not criticize, but it does make me smile. Thanks for the walk in the snow and and the tour of your mum's plant room. I had a lovely time. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and I do wish you all the best for the coming New Year. ☆¸¸.•*¨*♫♪✿☆•*´
Thank you for the kind words about the video. I hope you had a happy holiday season as well. 😊 I find identifying poinsettias to be as challenging as identifying hostas. There are just so many. Happy New Year to you. 🎉
What a magical, wonderful winter wonderland. Great place to grow up. House plant heaven as well 😊
Thank you for watching! It's so nice to know others see the beauty in where I grew up.

Succulents are so beautiful and definitely require less watering. I'm glad you found something that works for you.
