Ben Zobrist walks on water. Greatest single at bat in Cubs history.

His hit was not the game 7 winning hit. Most people think it was.

There used to be a stat in MLB called... game winning RBI. It was the RBI that gave the team the lead that was never relinquished. That's what happened with Zobrist's hit in game 7. Without that hit, the Cubs don't win. I know I know, you're going to reply... well without Montero's hit to drive in the 8th run, the Cubs don't win either. But the point is... without Zobrist getting his hit, Montero might not even get to bat. So, the argument for the people saying Zobrist's hit was the game-winner is most definitely valid. Again, no Zobrist hit... no Montero hit. So not sure if you're trying to be a know-it-all, but everyone knows about Miguel Montero's single, and these same people are not wrong to count Zobrist's double as the game-winner. Again... no Zobrist... no Montero.
