I realized that they forgot to put the bloodlust to raiden. 24:15 In this part also I realize that keep changing weapons to Excalibur but they forgot to change raiden bloodlust to atleast defend himself to the attack. that's because they focused on murarasama to much that they forgot how also durable his sub weapons (l'estrager and dystopia for sure is gonna destroy duo to their functions in battle ) but bloodlust is two heavy machetes that can be turn into a human sciscor. Hear me out. if Excalibur can change weapons every 5 mins duo to raiden superior of speed and weapons and poorly choice of Excalibur weapons (I hear he had a small black hole gun so yea. ) raiden can do it too and about the bloodlust he can block the beam by using it as a shield because he is also fast thinker. Plus Excalibur change every 5 mins so yea back to torture state of Excalibur. Tell me you opinion about the animation and not the Nuke durability feats to Excalibur, he can't even indure when raiden thrust his sword to the lower torso so just explain your opinion that's it.

Doing the math, Raiden would only be 1.3x faster than Excalibur, so they are basically even. Cause the speed of light is so fast small differences seem like they'd be huge lol.
Honestly this was a really good episode out of the bonus episodes that we got so far, though my only thing with it is that this just happened to be the only video game fight of Season 9 which is kind of a disappointment. Also, to say how Raiden died, he got sliced in half and then exploded after Excalibur used the Glaxion froze Raiden's Murasama. They did say that Excalibur could counter the frequency blade but even if he couldn’t hit the sword with it he has other weapons to back him up against Raiden. The only thing in the conclusion that wasn’t accurate or relevant was the Teno Operator being unharmed.

I came from the Warframe background of things and wasn't sure who would win. Heck, Digital Extremes who made Warframe were actually betting on Raiden winning... The way I see this battle is more of "who counters who better?". Raiden got the perfect arsenal to fight Excalibur, but Excalibur having 500+ NAMED weapons means not only he can pull 500+ ways to kill out of his ass, it means he can CANONICALLY and LITERALLY can pull 500+ ways to kill out if ass. 500+ NAMED weapons is stats and mechanics for each and every one of those weapons without exceptions. On the greater picture, it means that Excalibur (and by extension all warframes because all of them can use them) has an actual properly designed and documented weapon to counter everything. It doesn't matter what you throw at Excalibur, he has a way to counter it and the only thing that matters when fighting Excalibur is raw power and speed. If only physical feats matter as Excalibur's opponent, than the question in this fight is simply whether Raiden can keep up with Excalibur or not. In terms of speed, possibly. In terms of everything else, not even close. With how good the Marasama is, this sword is basically useless due the sheer quantity of weapons Excalibur has. I saw some arguments in the comment sections about how different 9% and 11% the speed of light are, let's say the difference is large and give Raiden every advantage he can get. Raiden simply can't punch or swing hard enough to penetrate Excalibur's defenses before the Marasama loses it's value. Also, the argument at the end of the Tenno surviving even if Raiden does manage to defeat Excalibur is more because Excalibur is nothing more than a drone and the Tenno is what matter at the end. The trick now is that the Tenno have an even greater fire power than that of warframes, way less speed but a very unique and overpowered survivability. It's not that you can't hurt them, they have armor and skin of the average human, they more like "infinitely resurrect" and aware of it. Some space magic that makes way more sense knowing the lore. It's the kind of "just stay dead already" survivability. The one time the Tenno got outsmarted into "staying dead", they still found a way to return more pissed off than ever.
I agree with what you said near the end, people tend to underestimate how much speed really matters in a battle and even more so how significant a small change in the numbers can be; for example, if one character's fastest speed was 9% the speed of light and another's was 9.1% and they both started running from the same point at their max speed, the person running at 9.1% would be out of the other's sight instantly... while I don't think the speed difference changes the outcome of this fight, it IS important to note just HOW big of a difference a small percentage in the speed difference can make.
The 2% difference isn’t that big of a difference at all, and isn’t even close to even being a 2x gap in speed. Not to mention, Excalibur and other Warframes actually get faster feats, such as being able to block multiple light-speed attacks almost point blank. Excalibur also has methods of straight up resurrecting himself multiple times in rapid succession, so Raiden never really had a chance of putting him down quickly. Basically the speed difference isn’t all that big, and unlike Raiden, who has to rely on a weapon that despite its reputation, has been shown to need force to cut through tougher materials, only needed to land one hit with any of his weapons to kill Raiden, and with their speeds being so close, even if Raiden could cut Excalibur, it would be less likely than Excalibur turning him into paste with any attack.

Another thing to be noted is that Excalibur had the AoE advantage and could bombard Raiden with attacks, forcing him into an area in which he couldn’t dodge even with the tiny gap in speed. The differential is also not that big, despite the supposed argument in terms of comparing the percentage difference with the actual speed of light, is that if phrased in another way, gaps in strength supposedly seem much larger than they actually are, and such a difference can easily be dealt with and overcome. There are multiple instances in which people can hit and dodge objects moving a bit faster than they are, which is also handy given the fact Raiden doesn’t really do H2H and relies on melee weapons/firearms, which also have a distance that gives opponents more time to react to his attacks.

If taken down no matter how hard the final hit was, Warframes have up to 6 revives (4 by default, 6 if two maxed Arcane Augments are installed on a Warframe) before being forced to extract from a mission. So perhaps they do have some extreme regenerative properties, albeit restricted on how many times it can be done.
TLDR: Energy Shield stronk I agree that they didnt explain all of this the best they could. I played both games and I think what the main deciding factor is here. (Almost) All Warframes have a straight up energy shield that is most of the time as tough as the Frame itself. The part they mentioned with the archwing was, that some can project an additional shield as a barrier, in addition to the one covering the Frame. They briefly covered that, but that could have been more clear. The point about Raidens Sword not cutting the frame is a bit iffy. But the Warframes are not completely metal as they said. If the non metallic part is stronger or not is a bit ambiguous. But I agree that Raiden could probably cut through it. So what I take away from this is, that it comes down to if Raiden can down the energy shield, before being overwhelmed by Excaliburs greater arsenal and physical strength.
I disagree, tenno metal is made from a type of infested material made to withstand damage from the Sentients, a race of beings who are capable of penetrating and destroying large cruiser-class space ships with their beams alone. That metal is not just the Tenno's skin, but the whole body internal organs and all, which is a whole lot more durable than Armstrong's reactive Nanomachines which is only a layer atop his own and though Raiden's Murasama blade could inflict damage on it, it didn't exactly cut through that like butter. Another factor is that high-frequency technology is actually present in the Warframe universe, at least it's own version, the thing is, it's outdated technology so it's used on mundane weaponry like machetes, caestus and chainsaws utilised by the common grineer grunts, and they barely do passing damage to the warframes and any they do make is quickly regenerated from so there's no lasting damage to be done and even if there were, it wouldn't slow the warframe down any, they wouldn't even recognise it.
Just wondering if you had any memories of when you watched Wolverine vs Raiden. I know it's been many years, plus a lot of other reactions added to your memory bank, but I was somewhat surprised that you said you knew virtually nothing about Raiden, and made no reference to that previous video.

This battle was most definitely more of a "Know your science" battle. (Or at least what they want you to think) "The more it vibrates, the hotter it is, the colder it is, the less it vibrates." so if you knew that, you would see where they were going with the introduction of that sub-zero laser gun. But an even bigger debuff against Raiden is that the child soldier doesn't even need to be in the Warframe for it to move around, making them practically immortal so long as you can't figure out where the Tenno is. And 3 separate armies + the numerous factions haven't been able to find that Tenno's core because it wasn't even on the ship they pilot for the time that galactic war was taking place. But since it was only against a single warframe that has failed missions before, I guess that can be vetoed as a factor.
The should've use excalibur umbra instead of excalibur. In all warframe need transference of tenno to make them move if they don't, then all warframe just become metal corpse except umbra. Umbra is a special kind of warframe that doesn't transference from tenno

@@Ris_Grestar Excaliburs ability Exalted blade which was used in the visual representation of the battle sends out unblockable energy waves - Deathbattle removed that for some reason, but I am mentioning it because Excalibur could be literally unarmed and just used this ability and he still would win - that is not even talking about his Radial Blind ability which "blinds" and stuns trough Void magic and works on things without eyes or on full machines.
They might do Senator Armstrong vs Funny Valentine. They've looked into it, but might not do it do to it being kind of a stomp. They also might to Solidus Snake vs king Bradley ( MGS vs FMA)

Due to the High Frequency blade and the exo suit that is canonically made the same way as Raiden's skull suit which allowed Raiden to get past Vamp's Precognition. So you could argue Solidus can do the same with Bradly's Precognition. Both are comparable in skill, but I would argue Solidus got that too with him being trained to be the perfect soldier and the fact he taught Raiden everything he knows.
I've a lot of ideas for Armstrong,as well as a few for Jetstream Sam and Sundowner. I think Monsoon had a good one to, but I can't remember who it was. Personally my favorite is Sundowner vs Adam Smasher (Cyberpunk)

I could never get into Metal Gear Revengence. Partially because I'm pretty sure that's not a real word on the end there but mostly because it's such a strange entry in a stealth game series. It's like Total War having a Dynasty Warriors style spin off...wait, that actually happened...
Except they downplayed excals toughness in this fight and he wouldn't even be fazed by the attack and he has a better speed feat that they did not use which would've easily dwarfed raiden
On one hand, dismissing the 2% the speed of light and giving Excallibur the overall win because he has one in 500 weapons that does the trick is completely ridiculous. On the other hand, it's was obvious Excalibur would win from the start: the power of sponsorships
It isn't the simple fact that one of those weapons counters one thing, it is the fact he had so many weapons that could likely counter even more things, and Raiden wouldn't be able to predict or be ready for 500+ weapons.
Yeah no they downplayed Excalibur here by a large amount seeing as alot of the feats they used are only a fraction of the power that the literal immortal void demons that are filled tenno can produce
I’ve seen this thrown around so much, but like, they didn’t limit Scout to just his base arsenal. They didn’t talk about literally everything he had, but it wasn’t really unfair. Still dislike the overall presentation by the episode and it’s general quality, but I don’t think I’ve ever really gotten this complaint.

I disagree, tenno metal is made from a type of infested material made to withstand damage from the Sentients, a race of beings who are capable of penetrating and destroying large cruiser-class space ships with their beams alone. That metal is not just the Tenno's skin, but the whole body internal organs and all, which is a whole lot more durable than Armstrong's reactive Nanomachines which is only a layer atop his own and though Raiden's Murasama blade could inflict damage on it, it didn't exactly cut through that like butter.
Another factor is that high-frequency technology is actually present in the Warframe universe, at least it's own version, the thing is, it's outdated technology so it's used on mundane weaponry like machetes, caestus and chainsaws utilised by the common grineer grunts, and they barely do passing damage to the warframes and any they do make is quickly regenerated from so there's no lasting damage to be done and even if there were, it wouldn't slow the warframe down any, they wouldn't even recognise it.

Just wondering if you had any memories of when you watched Wolverine vs Raiden. I know it's been many years, plus a lot of other reactions added to your memory bank, but I was somewhat surprised that you said you knew virtually nothing about Raiden, and made no reference to that previous video.

Well, Excalibur, in very basic terms, is just a suit of armor (it’s more complicated than that but you can understand what I mean this way).
Like, to beat Iron Man, you have to kill Tony Stark, not just destroy the suit.
Whats your plan for when your all caught up? I mean for your Saturday videos. At that point I think death battle should be about once a month give or take.

X has armor that is from the void which allowed him to block the high frequency blade it’s not metal
This battle was most definitely more of a "Know your science" battle. (Or at least what they want you to think) "The more it vibrates, the hotter it is, the colder it is, the less it vibrates." so if you knew that, you would see where they were going with the introduction of that sub-zero laser gun.
But an even bigger debuff against Raiden is that the child soldier doesn't even need to be in the Warframe for it to move around, making them practically immortal so long as you can't figure out where the Tenno is. And 3 separate armies + the numerous factions haven't been able to find that Tenno's core because it wasn't even on the ship they pilot for the time that galactic war was taking place. But since it was only against a single warframe that has failed missions before, I guess that can be vetoed as a factor.

The should've use excalibur umbra instead of excalibur. In all warframe need transference of tenno to make them move if they don't, then all warframe just become metal corpse except umbra. Umbra is a special kind of warframe that doesn't transference from tenno
Raiden is only 11% the speed of light in ripper mode which is not sustainable.
Excalibur can always move and react at 9% the speed of light.
In character would Raiden know to dodge the beam as opposed to blocking it?
In character, would Excalibur know to use that particular weapon out of his arsenal of ~600?

Cool, so eventually he'd use that one very important weapon.
@@Ris_Grestar he has a bunch of other important weapons like one that shoots microwaves which can't be blocked with a sword and ignore conventional durability by cooking one from the inside.
My original comment was strictly the point Raiden wouldn't dodge the molecular weapon in character but Excalibur would certainly fire it.
@@Ris_Grestar Excaliburs ability Exalted blade which was used in the visual representation of the battle sends out unblockable energy waves - Deathbattle removed that for some reason, but I am mentioning it because Excalibur could be literally unarmed and just used this ability and he still would win - that is not even talking about his Radial Blind ability which "blinds" and stuns trough Void magic and works on things without eyes or on full machines.

They might do Senator Armstrong vs Funny Valentine. They've looked into it, but might not do it do to it being kind of a stomp. They also might to Solidus Snake vs king Bradley ( MGS vs FMA)

@@zacharie2334 I would argue that solidus wins. Due to the High Frequency blade and the exo suit that is canonically made the same way as Raiden's skull suit which allowed Raiden to get past Vamp's Precognition. So you could argue Solidus can do the same with Bradly's Precognition. Both are comparable in skill, but I would argue Solidus got that too with him being trained to be the perfect soldier and the fact he taught Raiden everything he knows.
I've a lot of ideas for Armstrong,as well as a few for Jetstream Sam and Sundowner. I think Monsoon had a good one to, but I can't remember who it was. Personally my favorite is Sundowner vs Adam Smasher (Cyberpunk)

Dang, you're right. In terms of episode quality, Metal Gear has probably the best track record on Death Battle (not in terms of wins, although it's up there on that front as well).
Yeah, this was a weird episode since it was a special episode like The Seven Battle Royal. Thankfully, the next episode, James Bond VS John Wick is more straightforward. Just a heads up, Wiz and Boomstick are gonna mention ALL of the James Bond movies at the time of release.

I could never get into Metal Gear Revengence. Partially because I'm pretty sure that's not a real word on the end there but mostly because it's such a strange entry in a stealth game series. It's like Total War having a Dynasty Warriors style spin off...wait, that actually happened...

Except they downplayed excals toughness in this fight and he wouldn't even be fazed by the attack and he has a better speed feat that they did not use which would've easily dwarfed raiden
On one hand, dismissing the 2% the speed of light and giving Excallibur the overall win because he has one in 500 weapons that does the trick is completely ridiculous.
On the other hand, it's was obvious Excalibur would win from the start: the power of sponsorships
rather the power of a higher power level...
It isn't the simple fact that one of those weapons counters one thing, it is the fact he had so many weapons that could likely counter even more things, and Raiden wouldn't be able to predict or be ready for 500+ weapons.
Yeah no they downplayed Excalibur here by a large amount seeing as alot of the feats they used are only a fraction of the power that the literal immortal void demons that are filled tenno can produce
I can't stand the fact that they let characters use their full arsenal for most fights, but not Scout when he fought Tracer.
I imagine they'd do things differently if they were to redo that fight. They've grown over the years.
I’ve seen this thrown around so much, but like, they didn’t limit Scout to just his base arsenal. They didn’t talk about literally everything he had, but it wasn’t really unfair. Still dislike the overall presentation by the episode and it’s general quality, but I don’t think I’ve ever really gotten this complaint.
