- DAILY ROUTINE at a FARM STAY. In this episode I touch on what happens in a day in the life on a farm stay vacation rental. We're a startup operational farm and a short term vacation rental at the same time. Lotta things to be done. We feed all the animals, collects the eggs, check in on the century farmhouse and get it cleaned and ready for the next guests. Always a fun time here at the Hidden Spring Farm. Thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a comment, we'd love to hear from you. Click that SUBSCRIBE if you like what you see. #farmstay #farmlife #dailyroutine
I loved this episode❤️
I’m zipping up through your videos and I was so happy to watch this one. My Sweetheart and I are a couple of years behind you in our farm/homestead stay journey. We are in central Alberta and I’m retiring from being an RN in long term care and we are moving out to our acreage near the mountains this coming summer. I am interested in the good and the not so good of doing vacation rentals. So much of what you talk about creating is what Husband and I dream of doing(putting fish in the pond, off grid cabins, campsite, etc. Watching your videos is fun and motivating for me😁

Good morning Chad.
Morning! hope u have a great day.
Your ducks and geese need some child size plastic swimming pool in the orchard.
They have them since last summer and it gives the geese a bit more room to splash around. 😃
You’re gonna have ALOT of eggs!! 🥚
a good amount yup. We haven't bought eggs for ourselves since last Dec. It's been awesome...we sell some fresh, some as hatching eggs etc.
Great movie again Chad!
thanks, its always a fun time here at the farm.
Today was fun. Love seeing all the two of you do. So the thing I have been struggling with, Where do you live? Is there a second house on the farm? Do you own a small property nearby? What? Thanks for sharing. Becky from Kansas City
haha thanks, actually we moved up to this area almost 5 years ago now to a 1 acre property. We were looking for a farm property, but it had to be just the right one for us. Last year we bought this 90 acres and turned it into a farm stay hoping to build a new house for us somewhere on the property. Good thing is our house is only 20 mins away from the farm. It sure is gonna be an adventure though, but for now just paying down the mortgage. Good question too Becky. Chad.
@@HiddenSpringFarm I just kept wondering how you could be at the farm every day. Really hope your channel starts getting the attention it deserves. I watch quite a few homestead style channels. Now most are having 75,000 + viewers. You'll get there. All of those have been around at least 5 years. See you next time. Watched 5 I'd missed today.
@@BeckyinKC amazing, thnx for the encouragement.
you are a funny man. i like your farm. i also follow JUST A FEW ACRE FARM. thats how i found you. kiss MJ for me.
Thanks and welcome to the channel Mark. Really appreciate you checking us out. I like Pete's channel too, I've learned a lot from him. Hope you enjoy some of our episodes, I'm in the middle of building a custom octagonal chicken house with 7 coops, but it's always fun checking in with the animals too. Have a great one, Chad.
Your geese will warn the ducks if they see any Arial predators
They certainly do, not only aerial but even honk at a squirrel. 👌
Your roosters are pretty and sweet, letting you hold them.
yeah they're pretty well behaved. Elvis can get riled up but mostly he''s fine.
Hey, Chad!!! It has been frustrating getting my notes to you, because I have been using my cell and accidentally deleting my chat before sending them. Typical me getting it wrong!! This was a terrific overview of the home stay and farm. Please give hugs to Molly and Stormy for me. I love this channel and hope it grows quickly, because what people don’t know is how much information on tons of subjects you give unlike some larger channels! Happy to know that your home is so close by so you don’t drive too many miles in a day and in inclement weather. Stay happy and healthy😊😊😊😊
I know the feeling Leona, I have a big Iphone 11 but my huge thumbs always mis spell stuff. I really try to produce good episodes, but it's truly a lot of work especially in the beginning when I have only a few viewers. But good people like you who recognize what we're doing here, I have to stick to the grind. Most successful channels take 4 or 5 years before they get there. My wife says I can't get discouraged, it will take time to grow. We do have so much to offer and I have a lot of interests like animals, building, equipment and I just think about what I could do in the woods - trails, maple syrup, sugar shack, off-grid cabins, glamping domes, tree houses...the list goes. At least I'll have years and years of ideas for content lol. Thank u Leona for always watching my stuff.
I will always watch with great joy because I find you so real and relatable. I am so happy when you post!
Hey Chad great tour of the place this am.. hugs to Molly
thank u Kate glad you liked it.
Loving what your farm is becoming. Maybe my hubby & I will come for a visit some day.
thank u, still a ton to do, but I'm not in a rush. I want this place to be well thought out for the future. Sounds good! Have a great Monday.
I'm in bc Canada. Fenced my 2 acres. Now, what? I have a shed. Goats, sheep. Who would want to live here? Animals I mean.
Enjoying your channel, love your presentation
sounds like a good start. What's your needs and wants? Pigs are great for turning forest into workable soil. Goats are great for clearing brush. Sheep are good for mowing the grass. Chickens you could get eggs. Ducks you get eggs. All of the above you could get meat. We started with ducks, then chickens, geese and now rabbits. Rabbits are great cause you can use the manure in the garden right away.
Sir ,your geese have eggs yet. If you have eggs I want for my incubator please
haha nope they still pretty young. I'm still trying to get them to bond with me too so they'll be nice lol.
