    Thank You Sir! I like that the MDT Ckye-Pod Gen II was designed for single handed operation. 👍🇺🇸 #22aday

    Finally got my ckye pod from mdt's factory seconds sale. Ordered november 26 and showed up january 8 and I live in canada one province over from them. My ckye pod looks exactly the same as the one in your video, including the big silver tension knob in the front so it appears I was sent a gen 2 which makes me pretty happy!

      I managed to get the same score when I did that as well and man was I happy! Considering those are selling for over $1000 in Australia now and I picked up mine for about $450 posted. I really felt like I won the lotto there! It did take a couple of months to arrive but I wasn't bothered in the slightest, especially when I saw it was a Gen 2

    It is a beautiful piece of machinery, elegant and functional. I guess we can call it the Rolls Royce of bipods, because it is as expensive as one. But that's okay. We were not all meant to drive a Rolls, or use a Ckye. But it's nice that it is there if we want one. Thanks Ray. Happy New Years to you and your family. In 2021 we also need to see some more of Mini-X and her progress on the range.

    I got mine from the MDT factory seconds Holiday Sale and can’t wait to get out and shoot it. I can only see some slight finish defects near the legs.

    have the gen 1. Expensive, but you get what you pay for. As much as i like it, i've only found 1 stage where we were forced to shoot on a side slope where I found it useful. Other than that I find myself using bags more than my bipod as its quicker to get setup. And when i do use a bipod, i find my self putting my harris on the rail more than the atlas cal or ckye just due to how quick it is to stow and deploy with some 550 cord tied to the legs.
    i may be in the minority with this mindset though

    What would be an advantage of shorter PRS version vs standard single pull. I think standard can get pretty low with legs spread out. Am I missing something? Trying to decide between the two vestions

    • @XRING
      @XRING  3 роки тому +3

      Thats a tough call. I think the PRS version is really all you need between the two. Sometimes all that width can be too wide.

    Nice review X-Ring. That just made a couple other nice bipods more "affordable!" Seriously though it's always good to see innovation and quality and the MDT Ckye-pod looks state of the art.

    I thought last month your new favorite bipod was the Accu-tec bipod, has that changed?

    • @XRING
      @XRING  Рік тому

      I haven’t seen that video in a while. However, while the Accu-Tac is one of the most stable bipods. They only get used on the bench for me anymore. They are too big , too heavy and too slow to deploy on the clock for me.
      I carry two bipods to every match.
      1. Thunderbeast bipod
      2. CKyE double pull

  • @badbilly429

  • @poulo69
    @poulo69 3 роки тому

    So are you saying that you buy the bipod and you then have to purchase an additional adapter to attach it to your arca Swiss or picatinny rail. Does it not come with one or the other

    • @XRING
      @XRING  3 роки тому

      The mount is included, unless you specifically choose the RRS which is more money.

    Purchased a “factory second” during the BF sale, never got it. MDT said it was back ordered till January, not sure how a factory second item can be back ordered, makes me wonder if they’re gonna pick one off the line and throw it around a bit or are they gonna send me a new one.

    • @OneShot0311
      @OneShot0311 3 роки тому +1

      I order a factory second also on Bf. They said the same to me and I just got mine last week and guess what, it was a gen 2. It does not say gen 2 but it has all the upgrades that are talked about in the video. Did you get yours yet?

    • @juanislas4804
      @juanislas4804 3 роки тому

      Yes I did! And also came with all the upgrades. Spoke to MDT rep and he said they’re actually not Gen2s just “reworked and updated” gen1s but the only things the ones we got dont have that the gen2s do is the new finish and tolerances.

    Why there are no Joints at the Spikes of this bypot? When i Change the Lenghts of it's feet, i also Change the angle of the Spikes. Do you know the Difference between an Advice and a comercial Pollution? ;) If it hadn't been around 570 BC, this crazy Greek who was sitting on the beach in Samos and drew a triangle in the sand with a stick, we wouldn't have this problem today!

  • @Collin12318

      Did not mean that at all. Some of the best still shoot a Harris.
