Very cool! 🔥
I believe that fight in The Raid 2 in the kitchen is a little longer.
I recommend checking it out even out of context. It's a choreography masterpiece too.
@Dmndota Hi, thanks for the recommendation, I will watch all of them, the kitchen scene is awesome, and it is a bit longer, but the key word is continuously, they did a very good job with the camera placements, but continuity errors shows it as multiple takes, most noticeable is the wine rack, bottles come, bottles go, but even so, it is one epic fight scene (not for kids 😎), and once again thanks for the recommendation, if you haven't seen Meals on Wheels it is worth a watch, and if you have time, check out the history of the relationship between Jackie Chan, Yuen Biao & Sammo Hung, no actors/actresses would go through what they did to be on film 🎬 👋
(And I will just say that there are longer continuously filmed scenes in other films (1917 has a 8 minute one for example), but we are on about just martial art fight scenes 😁)

Man I love Micheal Jai White... He just seems so down to earth and chill and respectful, but still such a badass
Whats up with his face. Looks botoxed.
Those are the qualities of a true man. A student of the game, kind and humble, but a mean machine at the same time
Down to hurt? That guy thinks extremely highly of himself, to the point of being conceited, and puts down people quite often for no reason other than elevate himself.
He also does interviews where he bashes someone, and then another where he says that guy is great (ex: Van Damme). Check out his Dj Vlad interviews.
That said, he is 100% accurate re. this fight scene.
@gost3480 Will have to check out the DJ Vlad interview. Mostly, what I see from him is great conversations about the craft and respect towards his contemporaries aside from Steven Segal. I don't know any of these celebrities personally or in passing so I can't really judge.
did he play as spawn?
That flying knee, the fake out jacket kick and the candle wind kick are ALL amazing.
MJW praising Jackie and Benny is gold. He knows his martial arts.

That is a fact, and a testament of the pure skill of true great martial artists. No yanky edits, no half-assed moves, and no gritty realism to make it fun for all.
The real deal! 🔥
They did boost the effect of the scene by speeding up the frame-rate, but it was definitely a feat by those two men, all the same.
Micheal Jai White does all his own stunts as well. A remarkable physique. It's unbelievable to watch movies of him younger and seeing him now😲

Great fighting in that film
Personal favorite. That movie got me into martial arts as a kid, and changed my fashion sense forever.

Meals on wheels this was my first introduction to Benny the jet. I was blown away. I don't know how they choreographed., it looked like a real fight. Fast and unique, awesome
This man loves his fight scenes.
The way that Benny used to run up a wall and flip off of it to deliver a kick is little known, but if you've ever seen it, you'll never forget it. It was legendary!
My friend tried to do that in a scene with Cynthia Rothrock where he played a purse snatcher and somehow he hit his head on the wall in the first attempt lol I still dunno how that was possible.
@Donkeys_Dad_Adam
Sonny Chiba! Watch his highlights here!
Jackie Chans fight choreography is legendary.
Bruh I’ve been saying this for years and it still holds up. That candle kick was the most well placed nuance in that fight
The fight with the stools/benches from The Young Master is just brilliantly choreographed.
That was against Jackie's Beijing Brother, Yuen Biao. He was also super talented.
Absolutely agree, and Benny was terrifying in that scene
Absolutely
He was terrifying in the ring💯
Bennie is terrifying period. He's like Michael Meyers little brother who learned Martial Arts. Cue music. Dah, doh, doh, dah ,do-do, dah duh!
Jackie Chan will always be the greatest of his era.
His early stuff, police story, drunken master, etc etc were all outrageous movies in terms of stunts and fighting, what separates him from all the others is his ability to take an absolute ass whoopin and keep going using anything and everything in the room as a weapon.
His fight scene in the forbidden kingdom with jet lee will always be my favourite tho, the switching between styles, amazing…. ❤❤❤❤
Also his comedic fighting style
He'll be the greatest of that style ever, since you just can't raise them like he was raised anymore
Jackie is literally the most underrated 🎬 actor in Hollywood
How you describe Jackie Chan in your last thought is the definition of an "environmentalist"! 💯
Forbidden kingdom is so underrated but great just for that one particular fight scene you mentioned
Something that so many fight scene get wrong, is that they make each fighter an absolute tank who cannot be damaged, and who cannot damage the other fighter. This fight does a great job showing power shots that do damage and change the approach of the guy taking the shot
I was so lucky to be introduced to this movie as a child.
That flying knee finish was legendary. 👌🏻👍🏻💪🏻
The Raid 2.
That kitchen fight scene at the end.... beautiful
That and Tony Jaa Ong Bak 2 are the only scenes that come close💯💯🫡🫡
The Raid series is a masterpiece.
Oh yeah!!! That two on one was so brutal, realistic and it had your knuckles turning white from the suspense, which that in and of itself is a rare element in a fight scene to begin with. I LOVE both Raid movies!!
Yea Tony is the truth
Yep was thinking the same
There is so much energy in that fight scene. I can completely understand Michael though here!
So right, nose rubs. Jackets candles, even the violance.. So great
Man taking me back to my childhood in the 80s. Best days of my life.
He ain't capping all their fights in that movie were legendary
A man who recognizes art i see. For me this is the movie that I always put in my head when i practice my aerial kicks. They were perfect with it and it was so beautiful to watch.
Jackie chan in his prime was legendary!! Til this day his fight scenes are top tier! 🥋🐐💯
Well thats a unique way to spell Jet Li
@Richardo004
Jet Li had great composure from flying around on chords in the old wu shu movies days. It really sold the weight behind his movements like he was made of steel.
Jackie had a capable desperation sort of choreography that had much more crazy sweat and snot.
Haven and Earth, Yin and Yang sort of deal I guess and not many came close to that level of clean choreography.
These old jackie chan and Chinese movies are the reason i got hooked to Martial Arts
Benny did a display out here in Australia in the early 90's. Pulling vertical yoka geri's like a piston whilst warming up. Legend
The effing candles that got blown out by the kick is MINNNNT
Jackie Chan has become criminally underrated. His action scenes truly encapsulated the word “unbelievable” 🙌
He is by no means underrated lmao
Underrated? A new born baby knows who Jackie Chan is
@@imamakeit5163😂😂
Underrated???...😁
The only underrated thing is your ignorance
This is why I love Michael; he is a legit martial artist unlike most Hollywood stars but he’s an excellent student of his craft not just in martial arts but fight choreography the man knows his shit
He trains legitimately. He would get folded by any MMA in an actual sanctioned fight. For the simple fact they train to fight and he only trains to have knowledge and stay in shape. He's got too clean of ears and a virgin nose as Nate Diaz would say. He's not used to getting blasted in the face or having an opponent trying to kill him just to win a fight. There's levels to the MMA game and Michael just isn't on that level.
i appreciate being reminded of the greatness of Meals on Wheels. Now I have to track this down...on bootleg VHS, the best format to view a Jackie Chan movie.
I feel its one thing to be able to sell it to act like you got hit versus actually getting hit in fight scenes. I always admire action actors who actually get hit and can still carry on the scene.
One of the best fight scenes ever.
Closely followed by the one in Dragons forever.
Watching jackie chan movies with my dad is one of the highlights of my childhood.
Time to watch all Jackie Chan movies from the 80's and 90's again.

That was to this day one of the best choreographed fight scenes I ever saw. The fight scene in Gorgeous comes in second to me. Very impressive.
The gorgeous fight scenes were with an Australian man called Bradley James Alan.
His martial arts and stunt work was beyond belief.
He was from Melbourne Australia and actually became the leader of Jackie Chan stunt team before going on as his own. choreographer and stuntman (he wasn't so much interested in acting.)

@ty194 exactly. Also, with the fact that they was really letting loose and actually hitting each other. Jackie earned Benny's respect after filming this scene because of how hard he can hit and take a hit.

A questão é que a cena entre Bruce Lee vs Chuck Norris é muito mais profunda e realista do que esta aqui do Jackie Chan.

Really??!
Yes. I recently saw the full interview to Benny, describing how Jackie wanted to be realistic (and had a very poor level in English at the time). He also said that the slow-mo scenes were with little less hard techniques, but they were real in the face. But it was a problem as, he said, he was already taking punches and kicks for living. Very interesting interview.
And I remained so influenced by this scene and their way of shooting it. So that's why, Jesse, if you asked me, for example, yesterday night, I would have said THIS scene 🥰

I remember watching this movie & thinking this fight scene is absolutely epic.
I'd say the best multi-opponent Jackie fight scenes go to both the playground fight from Police Story 2, but ESPECIALLY the mall fight from Police Story 1; specifically the part where Jackie chan throws a mannequin into 3-4 guys and then starts taking them on at the same time. The way he manages multiple engagements at the same time, the way he blocks and counters, and the ferocity at which the blows are delivered and received is incredible. Jackie's old movies cannot be matched.
That means something coming from Michael J. White, since he's got also a top fighting scene. He's humble, that's why he's great
Yep. Before I even opened this video I knew it was that fight
Jackie Chan is a choreography perfectionist, if a single moment doesn't look good on camera they're doing the entire scene again.

Three words, Legend of the Drunken Master. That foundry fight scene is like no other.
I have said this for over 20 years, it will NEVER be topped. You have a legit legend in fighting going against the GOAT of martial arts/ acrobatics. Both these men are MEN we do not see in modern entertainment.
Yeah we do. Keanu reeves and Tom Cruise are still doing badass stuff in movies and training for it.
Its been topped
Sure we do, the work Keanu Reeves put into the Matrix had him in an ice bath destroyed by cramps every day. The Benny/Jackie scene is terrific, but we don't spend time and money on on action now.
Always remember that martial arts films are pornography, with just enough story to string the action scenes together. I watched a compilation of final fight scenes from Jackie Chan movies and after a while you ask yourself: why in the hell these people keep finding reasons to all throw hands at each other? Jackie has said himself, the movies are just silly.
