Error- Windows 10 update error something went wrong.
We could not complete the installation because an update service was shutting down.
There may be different error messages as well, follow these methods to fix them all.
1. Restart - A simple way to check.
2. Start Windows Update Service, BITS Service, and Windows Installer Service.
3. Run Windows update troubleshooter.
4. Delete the SoftwareDistribution folder.
5. Force delete the SoftwareDistribution folder.

The updates caused my computer to wake up at night without the cooling fan running. In the morning the computer was burning hot and smelling, fortunately it didn't fail but this happened twice due to forced updates during night time. I had to switch the Active hours to force the update to happen during day time when I can check my computer. Just another problem from Uselessoft

Just to shoehorn in probably the most likely thing first - Check your network cable is in! You get this error when you're not connected to the internet (as have just realised on one pc am updating)

I've tried all the steps and still have no luck getting the latest windows update to install KB5015807, I had previously replaced my HDD to and SSD. I did so, by cloning the HDD data to my SSD with the Samsung Migration tool, IDK if that might be part of the problem. Any advice guys? 😢
